- Desert treasure 2 is finally here and with it we get 4 new quest bosses. These bosses drop a huge variety of new powerful gear.
With the release we are getting the new best in slot rings, the virtus robe set along side a ton of other smaller drops. Today I am going to be completing desert treasure 2 and trying my hand at all 4 new bosses. This is just meant to me a day 1 look at the content to give my first impressions!

It is so, so nice to see OSRS content creators also struggle with new bosses and mechanics. It’s always disheartening being a noob when these new bosses come out because every content creator is like “oh it’s easy, just being maxed gear and don’t get hit ever and then it’s a money printer.” Seeing you tank hits any struggle with timing makes me feel like a human. Thank you
That's what has turned me off osrs now. The end games learning curve is too steep and I only have 1-3 hours a day to play, not enough time to learn the end game meta.
The new bosses are set up in a really elitist way
@@Rugg-qk4pl you don't play RuneScape to get a dark souls experience, you play to click and watch dopamine increase, I don't want to macro boss fights to stay relevant. That's just me though

After almost a month I finally decided to take a few days to complete Desert Treasure 2. And now that it's complete, I can finally watch these videos without having to worry about spoilers :)

You probably already know this by now, but your supposed to stand on the stone orb in the enrage faze of leviathan. It reduces the chip damage and gives you 100% accuracy. So the part you think is the hardest is actually the easiest, you just need to use the orb :)

It took me about 4 tries to beat the whisperer but once I finally did, I got 7 dragon plateskirts as my drop. A cool 1.2m for a required boss

Terms of difficulty Id rank them leviathan 8/10, blood man 6/10, whisperer 5/10 and duke 2/10.
Leviathan is just so puniahing and almost instantly ends you if you mess up. That's a frustrating one to me
I died the most by far to Vardorvis, he just combos the s*** out of you sometimes multiple in a row after you get him below half hp. And like FlippingOsRs said it's quite difficult to predict the axe pathing, especially while also watching out for/flicking to protect range from the little blue thingie.
That being said, it seems like it could be very fun once you get the hang of it. XD
Really all of them, except maybe Duke Suc with no ability to stock up poison materials/pots.

I think DT2 is one of the better designed quests. Been knocking it on day 1 and frankly, i much rather do a long quest like this, than light section of Song of the Elves.
Yeah at first I was knocking it because of how long it was but it’s very well made
Gotta agree, DT2 was not that good at all of a quest. A lot of it was copy pasta from RS3, and with Sliske at the end I hope this game doesn't get 6 more revolving around him.. Ugh

@@haezz4027 Nah you're just coping. Sure XP/hr isn't RS3 but Runelite definitely makes the game waaaaaay easier. True tile, metronome, highlights for item switches, gauntlet tracker plugin (and the one that 3,2,1 prayer), Zul'rah helper plugin, etc.

The main reason I wanna do DT2 is so I can use my quest cape to tp to fairy rings..and especially for fishing karambwans

Played like an addict growing up, then started playing again about 2 and a half years ago.. only took 2 years for me to lose every will to play. Kinda disappointed by that but I can't define how it is. I think getting 99 cooking in one day played a roll.

you have to use the black stone thing from kettla that u get during the quest. you need to use the stone all of the special phases including the orb one.

Duke has a mage attack not a range attack. And you stand in melee range because the mage hits like 30 through prayer.

Literally imposible to get the ring on the quest.
As to get the ring part, you need to hit its drop table 3 times (or more), minimun. So maybe 1 in 5k players has hit such table that many times to get vestiges on the first day, meanwhile everyone could be normaly lucky to hit virtus pieces early on, not with rings! Weird as fuck design from jagex, rings won't go dry, but most rings will only appear around their actual drop rate as KC.

The "venator piece to make the ring" is an invisible piece
You have to roll the ring drop 3 times in order to loot it, but you won't know when you've hit the table, except on the 3rd roll for the drop.
This loot drop style stabilizes the drop rate from going very dry, or being very spooned.
Obviously when this video was make that wasn't known.
@@jordanrobinson9474 The blog that revealed the drops as venator-shard-like also describe that hitting the drop the first two times just gives a different drop.

1b+ for new rings ? seems quite pricey for ring, like i get it if they was weapon or main armour piece then price make more sense for day 1 as in future rings should drop alot as stats they give arnt worth price tag also suffering exists
They will drop a TON within a month. Things are always super inflated on release
Day 1 prices are always driven by Uber rich collectors (and CZcamsrs trying to rush a video) who refuse to be missing anything for even a day lol. It’s not very representative
they're virtually not dropping at all. like check out the volume. it's insane

@@sjadude3 think there is few in game but have to spend quite lot gp on them as solo mission i think it was could buy the rings but they cost more then what i would spend on ring as use suffering but if they added luck dwarf ring from rs3 into osrs i would use that ring for better drops.
The bosses aren't a profitable grind if you die I've noticed.
230k a death, and drops aren't worth much.
Be an expensive grind till you can do the bosses without dieing and using to many supplies.
Not sure about the others. But Duke has been ok profit for me. 3 deaths, and I'm way in profit. Some of the drops are pointless. Mostly 500k-1m per trip.
I loved this quest took me 1 try and after 1 hour and 45 min was finished it. I onyl managed to achieve this time by using the osrs wiki guide.

go up slowly. you learned vorkath so you can learn harder stuff after that and build up.
