Like a semi honest homeless dude I encountered once told me, he was at walmart begging for money and I offered to buy him a meal, he said Rabbi I it would be a sin to take your offering as I am a Fake and I have a Nice House and a Nice Car and Family but I support my Gambling Addiction with Money that I beg so my Wife and Kids won't know of my Money Problem, so yes they are out there, never give money, just a Meal and Good Conversation is Blessings enough, most scammers will pass.
I saw a gypsy, younger than the one there at a shopping mall exit in Sacramento a few weeks ago. What made me mad was that she had a young boy with her, using him as a prop to get more donations. The child was around 7-8 years old, and it was a school day! Where are the cops and the social workers? The kid should have been in school, not out there waving at cars and begging, under his mother’s direction!

Oh yes. I'm very aware of that scam! We had a group of them scammers in our city set up on a semitrailer in a parking lott at a local grocery store. Every once in a while their cd skips and they play the same song over and over flawlessly. I think they were arrested for solicitation andscamming? It made headlines but i didn't get to read the full article. I don't see them around anymore because their cover was blown. They aren't "panhandlers" because they are doing a fraudulent service to get money. BTW I'm a new subscriber.
OH I'VE DEALT WITH THEM FOR YEARS. BACK IN THE LATE 80S I WORKED FOR PAVILLIONS GROCERY STORE. THEY'D COME IN 30 DEEP AND JUST START STEALING STUFF AND RUN OUT. WE'D CATCH 2 OR 3 BUT THE REST WOULD GET AWAY.
