This mod definitely made the game better by adding a darker toned story rather than the original, "Green Hill's lookin' a lot more like Sand Hill," vibe. Well done to the creators!
Really conveys the: cold, cruel, hate-filled, yet on the edge of violence, that Neo Metal is known for. Calm and composed, jaded by Sonic and Eggman’s “back and forth”, but just on the edge of going berserk with rage against them both.
The Overclocked team outdid themselves with this i love how sarcastic Sonic and Infinite are. The remixes are bangers. And also most they captured the characters with the Voice Acting! The levels also feel complex and non linear, they look fun to play. Gotta also appreciate the cutscenes, love how they look like they are from the comics. Great Job Overclocked team!
After just reading the Neo metal arc in the IDW comics, This just added to how good Metal sonic is as a villain in my mind. Love the work you guys did!
One thing I love about Neo Metal, is his motivations. On top of wanting to destroy Sonic to prove himself superior, he wants to kill Eggman too. He wants to end what he’s seen as a petty conflict that is Sonic and Eggman’s rivalry. It’s interesting, not just having a third party that wants to end the world, but end what they see as a senseless conflict.
I love how confident you made tails thank you, you gave him the personality that he deserve 😢 also I love how confident gadget is!! Actually it is sick that you make infinite you actually developed an interesting personality of his!!! Also Turing metal into neo!!! and making him an actual playable character is sick also I love all the Eastereggs in the game like when I saw sonic claim the sort of snack infinite I directly through of chaos in Sonic DX From the music the animation voice acting arts and everything!!! It's wholesome!!! Thought I kinda upset Shadow didn't appear, but I guess there was no way to include him in the story also the game play and the game play itself is fire🔥🔥🔥🔥✨✨✨ The music vibes it would be cool if it was put along in videos

If i had a dollar for every time a sonic fan/fans took a mediocre game and proceed to fix it out of pure passion I'd have 3 because its amazing that its happened 3 times

Man, I miss those days... Anyway, this is so well done, and I'm loving every second of it! I can see you guys put so much heart into this!
Bro, this actually does look incredible, really nice job devs and amazing artwork for the cutscenes! I'd love to see this get popular enough for people to add animations for those, but even as they are the drawings communicate so much action. I might have to buy Forces to play this at some point lol.
If sega fails to make a good sonic game, they could hit up a Sonic Fan Team to iron out all of the issues and make the game that was mediocre before into something truly timeless everyone would want to buy. They'd be going sky high like that

...neo mystic jungle is a gorgeous concept! Take the concept of fire and ice from sonic boom, mix it with lost world's enemy design, custom thorns and give the fan remix charm! I especially love what they did to the pinball table, turning it a giant night carnival reference
The writing of this mod felt just like what I was hoping for when I saw the original forces trailer. They even made the self-deprecating type of humor work while keeping Sonic true to character.
There's also someone working on an overhaul for that botched Sonic Colors port. All we need now is Unleashed and we'll have all the mainline games brought up to snuff.
Like all good things, I can never get enough of a short gift. I thoroughly enjoyed this chronicle! Love Neo Metal and Infinite’s reciprocation to Sonic and “Avatar’s” teamup; I live for stuff like that. I’m impressed with the lighthearted ending scenes too lol.
Oh my gosh, that was incredible, the voice acting was great, especially for Sonic, Infinite, and Vector, and the gameplay introduced SO many cool ideas, and the characters all felt SO true to themselves, although minor complaint, I wish Silver wasn't there. The story was so good, that I am willing to except everything that happened as CANON, and it would take place before IDW, obviously. I just have one question. What song was playing there during the final fight against Neo Metal and Infinite?
Couldn't be pre-IDW. Because Eggman got away with memory intact, Metal's not Neo anymore (was when IDW started), and probably a few other details I've forgotten.
Truly Impressed bro. I always thought that Sonic forces had the potential to be a top 3 Sonic game ever, but due to poor story telling, terrible character depictions, and linear/boring level, the game fell spectacularly short. But this… it brought back the edge to Sonic that he so desperately needed. The scene where he’s about to fight Neo metal and Infinite and goes in likes he’s about to rip them to shreds gave me chills. They even made the CAC better by simply giving him a personality. The little details like Sonic giving dialogue about the scene of the zone as he’s going through it really allowed for us to see how much was at stake throughout the story. Truly this game was amazing and all the credit to the Overclocked team. I would love to see Silver have more of a role within the story though, kind of seemed like he was of “no use” if you know what I mean.
Eggman: You can’t tell ME I haven’t learned from my past mistakes. And still you sent *Metal Sonic* so he can flee with the Ruby and cause a flipping mess. Great move Egghead!

They need to add an Expansion pack with Mecha Sonic in the game or smth, keep both infinite and Neo Alive, and expand the story so that people can complete it in an hour or 3, sonic forces is so short bruh, it's only like a day or 3 to complete
I will say that this mod is amazing in terms of the amount of effort that went into it, but the story makes zero sense for a few reasons. 1. Infinite never had the real Phantom Ruby. 2. After the events of the original game, the Ruby disappeared to Classic Sonic’s world. This is when Sonic Mania Encore takes place. 3. Only the Phantom Ruby prototypes needed a power source. The real Ruby doesn’t.
I great fan dlc, but I wish the boss fight was better. For infinite it was like his old fights which is a nice touch, for neo metal, I thought it would've been nicer if it was more combat based and not rail runner
