    If you all remember, last year I reviewed the OneTigris Camo chair and while I liked the product a lot, I had some ideas which could improve it. Shortly after my review went up, the company pulled the product from the market and today, it returns; this is the new and improved OneTigris Folding Chair and some of the improvements include;
    - Larger storage bag
    - Higher weight limit thanks to the double barrel aluminum frame
    - Color Options
    - Lower price
    - 2 utility loops for hanging gear
    ........
    Review Pros :
    Excellent quality chair
    Easy to setup
    Easy to break down
    Comfortable
    I like that OneTigris is offering color options; camo and Coyote, both i like
    Works well inside of a truck when overlanding, inside of a hot tent or around a camp fire
    Excellent weight limit
    Good height for average height individuals
    Larger storage bag; easier to get chair in and out of
    Price is excellent; lower than many comparable products
    Review Cons :
    For these chairs, I have only one real con to speak of and that is smell;
    There is a very strong chemical smell to these...while it has dissipated some it is still present.
    Ultimately though, with the new chairs, there isn’t much to complain about; the quality continues to be excellent, the improvements they made are excellent.
    There are less expensive chairs on the market but most don’t offer you the same weight limits or color options.
    Folding Table :
    Some of you may be wondering about the OneTigris Folding table and I was wondering if the company had plans to bring out a new version so I reached out to them to see if I could get some information....and I did.
    At the time of filming this video, there won’t be a new folding table any time soon. There is a possibility for a new folding table but and here’s the but, there is no guarantee that it is going to come to the market; it depends on how well the chairs sell.

    If you insert the bottom shorter struts first you might find it easier to assemble the chair because the longer back struts will bend easier.

Mine just arrived from Amazon without the smell and I found out that the fourth pole was much easier to insert the slot when I laid the chair on its side placed my foot on a leg stretching the material (with little force) onto the pole. Thanks to your review Luke, I ordered one to replace a chair that came apart at the seams. Received it while I was away on a camping trip (funny how that happens), and I immediately unboxed it when I got home. I'm impressed! While being about the same weight as my cheaper chair, the support tubes are noticeably thicker walled and the stitiching/fabric is superior. Yes, it was a little tight to get the final rod in the corner pocket, but not alarmingly so ( a loop would be handy), it should stretch out after a few uses. I'm off on a 16 day moto camping trip in June and this chair (which stows in a pocket on my Mosko saddlebags) will get daily use. Will post again when I get back. Thanks again!!

    I have one of the original camo versions and love it! I want one of the coyote versions and hopefully the table will return. Amazon sells golf ball-size feet for the camp chairs and I fish on most of my outings along river or lake banks. Of course the ground is soft most times and these golf ball feet really help in preventing the sinking in mud or soft soil.

      They look good. I have had good luck with TravelChair. One of the ones I have is the Big Kahuna that will hold up to 800 lbs. I got one of the Joey models for our daughter. It is similar to the OneTigris and will hold my weight but is too small to be as comfortable for me, fine for her. Their small Side Canyon table will hold up to 250 lbs. The one I have had the longest is the Bubba Camp Chair rated for 300 pounds. As a sling type chair it is more comfortable than the Kahuna, but more difficult to get out of if you are getting up and down a lot. Anyway I have been at some gatherings where there are a bunch of chairs around and I avoid sitting in any but my own. I saw one person who sat down in a chair and the thin struts just collapsed. Luckily it was their chair and they were fine.

    Hi, Luke. Thanks for saying setup might be difficult for some. Depending on the strength needed, I might be one of those. I love the chair and might try one anyway.
    FYI on the smell: Cargo containers are off loaded and then fumagated. These fumes are ten times more concentrated than standard civilian products. (I worked HAZMAT for a few years.) They penetrate everything, even sealed mylar bags. It is a reason some things stink and some never lose that smell.

    Got a couple of these chairs a couple months ago before seeing your review. I do love the chairs AFTER they are set up. Very comfortable and appreciate that at this point in my life. But I hate having to struggle to put them together (even with the tips some have given to make it easier). One of the chairs I actually can't assemble and my husband does that one (with a struggle). I'm not exactly weak either. So, I was not expecting this problem and have to get my chair set up when my energy is high. Setting it up is the last thing I want to deal with when I'm tired and just want to sit down and relax. I'd rather sit on the ground. On this assembly count alone, I would not buy them again. Wish I'd seen your review before I did!

    Opened up an old 1980's military duffel pack that I found in the garage and it also stunk to high heaven. Wound up turning it inside out and blasting it with Febreeze, then left it outside for a day. The smell likewise went away. I like the camo option of these chairs. Too many camp chairs are bright colors. If you're trying NOT to be seen, that's a consideration. I tend to build my gear around optional visibility, as I recognize there may be times when you don't want to be easily seen.

  • @RandallsLittleAdventures

    I have broken down many a full size, heavy duty camp chair. I was at 308 at 6' 4". I have dropped 44 pounds of lard. I think I am going to pick up one of these chairs and give it a try. The full size chairs camping are a pain. My goal is back down to 240. This chair should really hold up then.
    *Update: I bought me one. Took forever to get since the multicam was backordered but I waited it out. I would give it a three thumbs up if I had them to give.*

    Was really excited to get mine when they released them again, was disappointed that don’t have the moral patch panel anymore, but otherwise I’m very impressed with it

    I have two in cayote and one in camo, do not let the legs get way down in mud, if you do remove them carefully so you do not rip the rubber cap off. The cap holds the other end of the elastic lines that pull the frame together, I had to replace one due to this. I would have repaired it but I could not retrieve the rubber cap to retie. One other user warning, these chairs are a bit top heavy when left free standing, a breeze can tip it forward fairly easily, be sure to pull it back from any heat source if you get up and walk away. I had one tip top edge over the fire ring when I went to use the bathroom. Over all these are a great product, yes a bit small but if you want to form factor these provide for carrying then it is what it is.

      Hello Sir, can you share your thoughts about the differences between the regular version and the multicam?
      Is the multicam worth the extra money? Is the fabric more durable?
      Thanks

    • @timhayes45
      @timhayes45 Před rokem

      @@erco1123 Certainly, they are nearly identical, The only difference I've really noticed is the camo fabric is a bit thinner than the Coyote Brown the coyote Brown is a little more thick slightly less pliable but others in that singular difference there is no other difference. Hopefully that helps you out I like both versions quite well honestly.

      @@erco1123 Apologies I left out the answer to your actual question if you really like camo it's worth the difference otherwise I would say probably not.

    These are great. I wish they made a lightweight version though in the same colors to compete with the helinox.

      I'm a big guy, I killed a Hilinox when the too thin leg bottoms sank into the ground and ruined the weight distribution. Give a a chair that works, I couldn't give two damns what is looks like.

    I just ordered a Sportneer chair just like this based on another one of your videos, it was $33 on Amazon. Right now they are only selling in pairs for $62... the OneTigris is sold out on Amazon as of today (CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE). Sportneer holds 350 lbs

    I will have to get one for turkey hunting. Lounging in the chair in my ground blind would be great. Just can't fall asleep and let the turkeys go by.

    When Luke showed those frames, a thought I had was wondering if two of them and a tarp would make a decent 1 man tent. 🤔

    Take a look at the Sportneer. I picked it up at Walmart of all places for $30; it has a weight limit of 350 lb and it only weighs 1.7 lb!

    Equal chairs sell for 120 to 200 buxx where i live... i could not find the chairs you showed in this review... untill i visited onetigris main website: they were indeed for sale at 50 usd each. Snagged one for myself :) Handy when reaching my regular 400 meter mountaintop and chilling up there (my "get into shape walking trips" takes me up there).

    I have essentially the same chair, but I got it from Alps Mountaineering. Mine does have loops at the corners for pulling the last corner into the sleeve. Good chair. Don't know the weight limit, or remember what I paid.

    They should have put loops on the corners of the chair fabric. My cheapo Moon Lence chair has loops and it makes the chair easy to set up
