I have this bike, and love it. I’m 4’11; it’s a perfect fit. I wear non polarized bicycling glasses and display is easier to see.
I have had the same issue with the display reading incorrect battery level when turned on. The higher number is always wrong. Best way to know true level is to check while riding or before turning off.
I ride this bike on everything from unimproved BLM roads to a paved bike path. It handles it all. Those 4” tires handle so much! I’ve never gotten stuck!
Thanks for that input.
Magicycle does need to give you the 2.0 asap! Lets see it
Let's GO!
Really wish these companies would offer the option to upgrade the shifter, too. I can't stand the Shimano 7-speed thumb shifter. Give me the push/ pull shifting on the right.
I am also not a fan of thumb shifters... although, I also seldom shift gears on ebikes with throttles.
You can change these. It’s not that difficult. But I also don’t get why they always use these Mickey Mouse shifters.
Bc they're like $6 compared to $10 for rapid shifter
These bikes are made to be cheap.
hey can you throttle instantly when you press the power button? I had an old display that did that then i had to get a new replacement and then i have to wait for the loading screen to finish to throttle. Just wondering if thats the same for you?
I do not have instant throttle. I do once the display loads up.
Can you adjust the screen brightness in the settings?
You can and it was adjusted as high as it would go. It's the glass that is over the top of it. It is not anti-glare.
Have noticed the battery % discrepancy on a # of different displays. I upgraded the display on my original Himiway Cruiser, which allows me to go faster & has a % of battery remaining. It seems to drop battery % by 5-7% instead of incrementally like my Bosch display on my e-mtb. Also, like you're seeing (on my cruiser), when I turn it back, the % shoots back up, but then it drops quickly to where it was when I turned it off.
Well, this confirms it's not just me. Maybe on the next version they switch out displays.
Payload of 450lbs is different from GVWR of 450lbs; which is it?
Ask them. I only go off what information they have on their website or what they have told me.
@@scotthardesty the website states GVWR and you talk about payload.
@@tettazwo9865 I have zero clue the difference. It said Payload of 450lbs so thats what I reported.
I don't understand how the battery would increase from 66 percent to a hundred without plugging it up?
Weird right?
It may be the mapping of voltage to percentage. There is also voltage sag and recovery.
There should be a “voltage” sub-menu. I forget if it’s under the display or advanced menu. Anyway, in the voltage sub-menu, you can change the percentage that corresponds to each voltage reading. My bike’s display offers this capability and I changed mine to be more conservative when showing percentage energy remaining. It was staying pegged at 100% for too long, then suddenly dropping rapidly, though not as extreme as dropping to something in the 60s.
