    What do you think of the Radster Trail? Do you like the new "Fat Tire" tire size as much as we do?

    Plan to buy this bike in the future. I have the radcity 2019.

    I like this bike, but I wish they’d use a full fender on the front than that short one.

    8.2% is not much of a grade. Here in NE Tennessee that's almost flat land.

    At the same price, you could get the Velotric Summit or even the Discovery 2, both w/ more power (torque), higher quality on the battery & more travel in the front fork. I'd also look at the Himiway D5 Pro, the mid-drive. For Rad, though, this is the 1st bike that I like, but think that there are much better options for the same price.

    I would have 26x5 tires if they were available. Main reason is because I ride in the desert where mountains of soft sand exist. 3 inch tires bog down, where 4 and 5 inch tires tend to ride higher on the sand surface. The wider the tire, the less chance of burying your nose when flying down a hill and run into a deep soft pile of sand. And of course the only way to ride down a hill is to fly down it. Can't do that with the smaller 20 inch tires. Hoping for a new style Rover based on the RADster design. And I already have the Radster Trail. Ride RAD! 🙂

    My first ebike was a 2020 Rad Rover step thru. The 21 inch step over height has become increasingly hard to do. Now at 76 years old, I do not even ride the Rover at all anymore. Last year I bought a Magicycle Ocelot with a 13 inch step through. The Ocelot has more power and torque than the Rover. Rad has always given good service but the limit of 700 watt peak, and a still high step thru is a no go for me.

    Great review! Another reviewer noted some frame flex on the regular size frame at 28 mph. Would you say you noted the same experience?

    Which bike would you recommend for a cross country, coast to coast trip... pulling a Hurley- type trailer.

    Thank you for this review! I need to wait till end of year to buy 2 ebikes... I live up the hill from the beach, with lots of trails to ride. I'm tempted by a switchable torque-cadence sensor but prefer the Radster Trail tire size, frame stability, and battery safety features. And, my LBS services Rad bikes.

      "switchable torque-cadence sensor" The 1st I have heard of this. What bikes come with that feature?

    • @TwistedLi401
      @TwistedLi401 Před 5 dny

      @@danhall3450 there's four that I know of so far: Euphree Stellar Falcon, Troxus Lynx Plus and Troxus Explorer Plus, and the Magicycle Ocelot Pro 2.0. Of the four, the Euphree requires you to go into a menu to switch from torque to cadence, whereas Magicycle and both Troxus bikes have a dedicated button on the controller. The Troxus Lynx and Magicycle have 20x4 inch tires (the others have larger diameter tires).

    Did I miss it, can you pedal in PAS 1 up to 20 mph, or do you have to go to a higher pedal assist?

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  Před 4 dny

      You'll need a higher pedal assist I think unless you've got super strength. Check out the beginning of the first person riding footage.

    Hub motor = poor weight distribution = bad offroad handling 😢
