I disagree. Those rules didnt really take effect until 2011. 2004-2010 was still old school NFL. Theres a reason why there was only one 4000 yard passer in 2005, why Manning won MVP with "only" 27 td passes in 2008 and why he also won an MVP with 16 ints in 2009. It was still wayy harder to pass back then..2011 was when it really showed the changes. If the 2004 rule changes were so immediately detrimental, then why were physical corners like Revis, Bailey, Barber etc so effective after those rules??

Wes Welker was the best slot receiver in the history of the game. He was also one of the greatest undrafted players of all time, he holds the NFL record for receptions by an undrafted player. He spent 12 seasons in the NFL, so he was a great route runner as well as a pass-catching machine.

But since he never wore it, I was stuck having to watch pats games. I couldn’t ignore watching him play, I had to see greatness! He better make it to the Hall of Fame, he was as important as Tom was to the Patriots first couple of Super Bowl wins!
