I remember this game when the NFL Network wasn't on the TV's outside of Dallas. This was the biggest game of the season that would determine home field advantage. My brother was living in Lubbock at Texas Tech and said that the sports bars were all packed for this game
Pretty sure Gumbel was drunk during the broadcast. His call of this game is still considered by many to be the worst in NFL history. He did an absolute garbage job.

@@jaylucien669 Bryant Gumbel was a host and reporter for NBC Sports in the 1970s and 1980s. He never did play by play for football until 2006. Greg Gumbel is the play by play announcer in the family.
