The Chiefs would 13-3 and then get upset due to former Cowboy Lin Elliot missing 3 field goals. There's a reason why Jimmy Johnson cut him after the Bills game in week 2 of 1993. He was becoming a liability.

This proved to Dallas that they could play against anyone and was able to clinch a wildcard spot. The signature win was against the Redskins who were undefeated which Dallas won. This was getting over the Philly hump where they hadn't won there since 1986 at the Vet. This proved that Dallas would be a very scary team the next season.

Emmitt Smith had 100 yards rushing in 22 minutes. He had a Madden game going.

Lin Elliot was terrible

This is the day that Emmitt Smith won the NFL MVP. Separated shoulder and all took the offense down for that game winning kick. This would be the ONLY time that John Madden would come down after the game from the broadcast booth to congratulate a player, which he did for Emmitt Smith. Emmitt would be the ONLY running back to win the rushing title, NFL MVP, and Super Bowl MVP. The running back triple crown.

This is a prime example of defense wins championships. The dallas defense was swarming the eagles and kkept them at 0 points till the offense woke up

Dallas offense played like absolute s and still won because of their defense. They coasted through the playoffs with injuries from Aikman, Smith, and Irvin and still turned it on against the Packers in the playoffs. Sadly for the Cowboy, the 49ers were healthy and better prepared mentally because they knew if they lost in the NFC Championship, the team would be dismantled.

Tim Couch #1. Wow. Theisman actually got it right in his criticism. Kiper, as he often does, missed. How can so many people overlook the massive amounts of INT's he threw in college. What did they think, that the NFL would be easier for him? And Akili Smith? What on earth did anyone saw in him. I was stunned that he was even considered a 1st round pick back then, nevermind the #3 pick overall.

This was one of those games that the Oilers always played the Cowboys tough even when they were depleted in 1994.

Its absolutely crazy to me how Michael Bishop got passed over by teams when he was 2nd in the Heisman Trophy race and had more skills than any of the other quarterbacks in this draft

pathetic that the eagles had that defense for 5-6 years and couldnt put an adequate offense together with it. me and a bunch of fantasy football nerds could have put a better offense together with just free agents that no one else wanted any more. sad and weak.

It showed that in 94 season the Cowboys could still win without Aikman and that they were still very very loaded at talent.

The first game since I think since 1972 that the Cowboys FINALLY beat the Steelers.

The Cowboys were just the better team. They had the mindset of going out there and winning compared to the tense and apprehensive 49ers. I mean even Jimmy made a guarantee saying, "We will win the ballgame" call into the radio broadcast. The 49ers realized that they were not good enough and upgraded almost the entire team by signing a bunch of free agents. The very next year the 49ers were ready mentally and physically while the Cowboys came in hurt and apprehensive and anxious as the 49ers the year before. I know one thing is for certain, if Jimmy came back in 1994, the Cowboys sure as hell would not have gone down 21-0 after 3 drives.

It just showed how great the Cowboys were under Jimmy. They went into the game with a We Win The Ball Game guarantee by Jimmy and the players said well we got to cash that check you wrote. They did. The 49ers just got destroyed in the second quarter. 2 long touchdown drives an interception that got converted to a touchdown pretty much ended the game. It showed the 49ers had to upgrade big time especially on defense.
