I have a clean up kit from Parks Project that I had purchased last year and I love it. Their motto is "Leave it better than you found it". I keep this kit with me everywhere I go so that way I can pick up any trash along the way. The kit consists of gloves and eco friendly garbage bags. This is how I protect and preserve our Earth regularly.

We can celebrate Earth Day every day by picking up trash. I have a rule with myself where I pick up any piece of trash I make "eye contact" with. With many caveats. A trashcan must be nearby, it must be practical and safe for me to pick it up. Even with those seemingly restrictive stipulations I end up picking up trash everywhere I go. It's a small action but it's one we could all take.
