Good on NYPD you have a right to PEACEFULLY protest. You dont have a right to make people fearful, vandalize private property, and overtake buildings.

They should all go back to Palestine and fight their battle there. What do they want us to do about it. I grew up on W 116th St and Amsterdam Ave, my father was a graduate of Columbia, and worked in their real estate division. I remember the riots in '68 over the Vietnam war, to see this mess take place again really saddens me. I thank God my parents aren't alive to see this. The NYPD is a well oiled machine, they get the job done. I live in Charlotte now, so between seeing this, and the loss of 4 Law Enforcement Officers here in Charlotte on Monday, my heart is so broken right now. The madness needs to stop. Thank you JJ for risking your own safety to cover the events happening at Columbia.

I appreciate the NYPD officers for what they do and for dealing with a bunch loud people who really are so misinformed, as in all demonstrations. Some are there just to cause problems.

I inadvertently got caught in a civil disturbance once. I was trying to get out of the crowd and came face to face with a police officer. A bit scary.
My very Left wing Brother in law was just visiting NYC, not there for any of this BS. They were in time square. And they got pushed into a street with NO escape. They were there just to see the big big lights. And the Protesters prevented them from areas of time square they wanted to see. I found it very funny listening to him explaining his troubles in the big Apple 🍎
