    In general, the return or not of stolen ancient monuments should not be judged on the basis of whether they were aquired 'legaly' or not, but on a moral standard. Even in 1984 they were using the remains of the ruins as target practice. The Muslim religion does not admire graven images. Had not the Germans rescued this amazing temple it would have long been destroyed even further. In fact when the ottoman empire took over Athens they bombed the acropolis. Some call it plunder, while others opine that it's fortuitous these artworks exist in Europe. Especially considering recent incidents of damage done to artifacts across the Middle East. Most notable is the destruction of the Buddhas of Bamyan; the destruction of the Temple of Baalshamin; while not forgetting the destruction and theft of cultural heritage in various other sites across Iraq, Syria, and to a lesser extent in Libya. So maybe these and similar artifacts survive today, only because they are in European museums.

    • @interqward1
      @interqward1 Před 4 lety +1

      They were not Pagan, and they ARE not 'Idols.' Jesus Christ Himself referred to the Primordial Serpent Typhon and termed him 'Satan.' His disciples placed the dwelling of this REAL Being somewhere down a hidden niche in Ephesus. REAL, Being. Thus not an 'idol.' Zeus vanquished Ophioneus to the Underworld in Ephesus. Jesus Himself WAS part Greek-Egyptian through his ancestor Asaneith, the high aristocrat, and wife of Joseph. In the original language texts, Jesus Christ Himself prays to His Father: 'Ho entois OURANEOS.' And in other places He directly says 'for there are many gods, but for you just one Lord.' He affirms that preternatural Beings exist; they are not powerless 'idols.' Satan is a POWERFUL Enemy, not a powerless 'idol.' Anything deceptive is of the Devil and Satan. Islam and Muhammad themselves declare in the Koran that they will one day 'disappear slithering down a hole they came out of...' And that is a fact. If you want the Islamic texts regarding this I'm sure I can find them. These things are spiritual forces with sentience. Even Christian texts affirm they are held in Tartaros, but not completely destroyed altogether.

It's all very well for you to say 'Greek idol,' but as you know, Jesus Christ was a descendant of Asaneith, and therefore part Greek Himself, and I would like you to tell us, if you know it, what are the opening lines of the Lord's Prayer IN GREEK...

      @@stephenrodenbough2186 'Islam' - means 'submission' not 'peace;' it is from the root Arabic word 'salim' (submit) not 'salaam' (peace). Islam is the ultimate religion of deception, it is the work of the Devil himself, Satan. It uses and exploits ignorance.
      What makes 'Zeus' a false God? The word is from the Attic Greek 'Za' (ref Pherecydes) and is the same as the early Hebrew 'Jah' from which is derived 'Jah-Ho-Vah.'
      Since, like all Muslim apologists, you have avoided answering my first question, I will tell you what the answer is. Jesus Christ said this: "Pater Hemon, Ho Entois Ouraneos." 'Father of mine, who is God in Heaven.' Jesus Christ, Incarnated God, explicitly declares Himself the son of a Father God in Heaven. 'Ouraneos' is the Greek alternative for the 'Heavenly Zeus.'
      Muhammad, on the other hand, IS an idol, that is - a false god - because being a man, yet the Muhammadans worship him in their 'tashahud,' their addressing of prayers and blessing directly TO him even as he is admitted to be dead. And they categorically deny the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God Almighty.

    Obama put that the temple of Zeus of Pergamus to just tell you straight up he worships Satan.
    their deeds..
    1. bible says "strange flesh" but my pastor who knows more than me told me
    it means human sacrifice and eating its flesh after offering to their deities
    (Spirit cooking, satanic child sacrifices and cannibalisms)
    2. Sexual Immorality : Obama married a man. He also enjoyed orgies with hotdogs and pasta
    3. Satanic Idolatry : it's pretty obvious now they actually believe and practice Satanism/Luciferianism

    Seriously, though, I can see the mayor's point. I do think they owe the city some reparations, maybe in terms of funds for preservation of archaeological sites & projects to boost touurism, building a modern museum, infrastructure, etc.

    The Berlin based reconstruction works of the Pergamon altar are an artwork/masterpiece itself. Turks could have never executed similar expertise. And this also true for the very complex reconstruction works of the Ishtar Gate and the City Gate of Milet.

      could be, because years back I've had a dream, I got shown a map of today's Turkey, and on the western part of Turkey there was a big red dot on the map, and then I heard the voice saying: "Do you see this city? this is the "throne of satan"". And then I've got a vision what it looks like, there were many stones on that location, and the throne was made of stone as well, there was also sacrificial altar. When I woke up I was so amazed, I was wondering why would I dream about stuff like this? So I've rushed out of my bed, went to Google and wrote in Search: "Turkey, throne of satan" and bam, there were thousands of results, the city called Pergamon really exists on that exact location! But the most shocking part was that it was even mentioned in the Bible and back then I haven't even read the Bible. I've read it a year later. So I was wondering a bit, why would I dream about this when it was already mentioned in the Bible many many years ago? I am still searching for the meaning of this dream. My guess is that Pergamon will probably play a big role once again in today's world as some satanic place for devil worship, or something else could be going on there, something bigger

    What I'm about to write is in my opinion an accurate explanation of a Biblical account Jesus talked about,, and also mentioned in Revelation of the seven churches,, which I have never heard in 45 years of searching tens of thousands of sermons,, commentaries and documents.
    The altar of Zeus that was in Pergama, was on a high mountain, that is the mountain that Satan took Jesus to, and showed Him all the kingdoms belonging to Satan.
    Satan felt at home there as stated in Revelation 2:12 "and to the Angel of the church of Pergamos write; these things saith He which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
    13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is; and thou hold fast my Name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth"
    and in Matthew 4:8 "again, the Devil taketh Jesus up into a high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them" Satan felt at home there labeled under Zeus Baal etc, so stands to reason that he would take Jesus to Pergama(Pergamum).
    Why did nazi Germany exterminated God's people? Satan's buddy, Hitler, heard the evil one, no wonder Germany wants to keep the actual Temple, where Satan dwelled.

      According to Pastor Richard Wurmbrand in one of his books addressing the links between Satanism and Communism, the original Pergamum altar which was transported to Germany from Turkey, fell into the hands of the Russian communists under Stalin at the end of WWII.
      This altar was described in the letter to the church at Pergamum by the Lord Jesus Christ in the book of Revelation, as transcribed to the apostle John on the isle of Patmos in 97 AD, as being 'where Satan has his throne' (Revelation 2:13).
      In other words, if one were to inquire as to where the 'god of this world' (as Satan is described in chapter 4 verse 4 of the apostle Paul's second letter to the Corinthians), has his actual, physical throne, then it is within that altar formerly situated at Pergamum and reputed to have been moved from Germany to Moscow, most likely since secreted within the Kremlin itself and for what purposes, both past and present leaders of Russia might require regular audiences before the throne of the actual Devil himself, we can only dare to imagine. That is, if rendered somehow incapable of seeing quite clearly from both the past and recent misdeeds of those former and current rulers of that nation!

    Germany should give back the Pergamon Altar, it is ridiculous to say that the agreements are legal, it is ridiculous to characterize the agreement with a tyrant as legal. This is the legacy of a different world that Germany should not take, the German authorities should stop insisting.
    Believe me, the return of the Pergamon Altar will glorify Germany and therefore the German people. Pergamon Altar creates wounds in Germany every day it is not returned and it bleeds Germany from the wounds that have already been opened.
    The German authorities must now hear the horrible voice in the Berlin Museum, and put an end to this scream.
