    The easy-to-travel-with FPV fixed wing is an interesting niche I’ve always had a lot of time (and wallet) for. Thanks for reviewing this so fully and I’m glad to see it earning a spot in your lineup.

    Hi Lee, Great video looks like a great day little plane, I would liked it they would have used metal gears. But you can't get everything, thanks again for the video and information about this plane.

    Hi Lee, I sense some 3D printed thumbscrews coming along soon 😃 Thanks for the review, useful tip re. the delayed motor start 👍

    Thanks for the honest VCI Dove reviews. Nice to know that VCI is listening to your suggestions. Looking like the el sailplane to replace the ancient original HH ConscendoS. Hopefully v2 with improved tail and elevator/stabalizer attachment system will be out by the end of '24. Big + is the compact size when taken down. The big - will be me dropping a screw. Like your idea of a slide in elevator assembly with a magnetic "latch". Mini rare earth magnet should be adequate. Thanks for the launch tip. Save a finger tip or worse.

      All of the reviews are as honest as I can make them. Subjective options on what 'good' look like so not all 'reviewers' may agree on a models merits. But I don't get paid for my 'reviews' like some do, which makes those 'reviews' 'more like 'paid for advertisements'... Happy flying!

    i knew the rudder would struggle the moment i thought about why they put the stabilizer up there; Could the wake from the motor assembly, make the airflow too turbulent to get effective use of the rudder surface? That's my guess at least.
    On the bixler they angled the motor for example, on the skyhunters they have trouble too, especially the smallest one (the only i own)

    Fantastic flying and review, Lee!!! 😃
    Could you please put that surgical tape's name in the description? English isn't my first language, so it would help. 😬
    Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
    And happy holidays!

    Impressive how you crammed that flight controller into that tiny space. So close to the motor makes it more susceptible to vibrations but apparently that's not an issue in your case. Did you stick it down with double sided tape? I use nano tape lately for my flight controllers. It probably doesn't absorb much vibrations but it works so far.

      I always mount my FCs in planes/wings using double sided foam tape. the 3M stuff used for number plates is fab, and I also have some thicker stuff if I worry about vibration affecting the IMU. Balancing the props makes all the difference..

      @@Painless360 Cool. I forgot to add: what I do on not so sticky or uneven mounting areas is to glue down a cut out piece of a credit card to create a flat even surface. Then I apply the nano tape to the flight controller and stick that combination onto the card piece. That way the flight controller is also removable without too much hassle and residue.

    Why cant you connect all the lights to the flight controller?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 6 měsíci

      Only the strobe is controllable using the extra connection.. Best of luck!
