- After 1.5 years, and close to the 300hrs the cake baking robot is finally finished.
The goal of this project was to use a large project to force myself to learn the basics of robotics, and I absolutely have learned the basics of robotics throughout this project. Here are some of the resources I used to learn robotics, and buy stuff from.

Frame work was built mostly with parts from Actobotics.
Most of the programmming was learned from googling it, and asking the community for help. It was surprising how little programming I actually ended up having to do on this project. It was mostly plug and play when you find the right code.

i've never been this proud of someone i don't even know.
Amazed at the persistence you had here.
Holy crap, it's finally done. Any new robot you guys want me to work on??
Make a robot that dials a house phone
Laundry folding robot? Congrats on the completion!

Worker robot
Great video, I am so amazed at how hard you worked, like when you said 5-6 hours a week! You are so motivated.
You could make a Cube solving robot; I know it's already been done but it would be awesome to have your own one!
P.S: I discovered your channel recently, and I noticed how our channels our kind of similar. I have learned speed cubing, unicycling and various other things a bit like you. If you're curious, here is a video that explains what I mean:

Thanks!
Dr BEN.
I loved watching this, as a professional programmer / builder. Don't forget to go back and think about what improvements in your problem solving process could be made to prevent these issues next time. i.e removing the mixer, building something to replace it, and finding out the problem remained. Isolate the problem by removing one part a time until you have clear causality. Kudos for realising on your own that building the system 'linearly' is not the way to go. You gotta build it in chunks / modules, then join them together. Great work!
What's most impressive is your perseverance. Well done and thanks for sharing
Been here since 2k subs. Dude. It’s so unfair how u work so hard and don’t get the recognition for it that u deserve. Keep pushing and I bet you’ll do amazing things.
Proud of you Man for finishing the Project !!! Keep on Inspiring people with your motivation! Great work !!
I'm not easily motivated by strangers, but your channel really does it for me. Amazing job dude.
4:25 is literally every FIRST Robotics Competition team ever.
This is so inspiring. It's amazing how much you can achieve with a goal, motivation and hard work.
Congratulations!
inspirational, really love your videos man, makes me aspire to learn and continue all my projects
Thanks man, keep going!
Great work!
This is amazing. Hell of an endeavor! I enjoy making things but to make something that moves and performs a function is on a whole different level! My hats off to you sir, this is awesome.
Impressive persistence! Video gave me chills
So awesome, so clutch!
Thanks dude! We gotta make a video together sometime soon!
Lol hello or Здравствуй)))
Ты тоже смотришь этого замечательного парня ?))
Your videos are so amazing! Keep going!👌🏻💪🏻
Awesome job. More than the machine, it's your attitude to learn and succeed is the winner here.
NEVER STOP MAKING VIDEOS!!!
Good job mate keep up the good work!
For the water/milk i would have went for a hose and a pump.
For the butter could use a guillotine and a metal box with a pushing piston.
A funnel for sugar with a simple piston under it to close the hole.
Loved the eating perogies while working haha so Albertan. Cool robot man
Congratulations!
The feeling of failure, failure, failure, failure, failure... SUCCESS never changes, even after years of experience!
Props
So nice to see you back! How this can be only at 2k views after almost 24 hours? The production quality and editing are incredible.
Now just a delivery system for the supplies and actually cooking the cake. Then of course icing.
You hit the nail on the head with the 95% frustration 5% joy. The frustration makes the joy much more addictive though. Also hardware bugs suck.
congrats man, you finally did it!
Hey man, love your Channel, please keep uploading, you are the best part of youtube
You deserve more views and subscribers
I swear I was just about to comment that I missed your videos, haha. Congratulations!!
Edit: I can't imagine how satisfying that was for you when it worked perfectly for the first time!
Oh man, felt so good!
AWESOME OMG THIS IS SO COOOL
If u want to make it more clean when it pour the sugar a an stuff maybe get something around the bowl on the edges so when it pour it goes into the bowl
good job
Where are you at?
Cool!!!
awesome! I am taking the opposite path, learning solidworks so I can 3D print components then going to learn robotics, if you learn how to design and 3D print things you will be a dangerous guy, congratulations!
Very cool channel
Where have you been?
Can you provide a link to the music that starts are 6:34? Or even just the name of the track? You said epidemicsound.com but they have thousands of songs on their website. And cool robot by the way.
YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!
try building an racing drone all by your self! Its fun and i can teach you if you like! email me and i can list you some parts and tell you how they work and how to build!
Hey we met at the CZcamsr meetup in meadows rec centre a while ago. You mentioned that you would like to learn how to swim or learn a stroke in swimming. Would you still be interested in that?
should be called the cake batter making robot
I legit thought this was going to end with "...this cake tastes like sh".
Hey @52 Skillz, I’m a producer at @DailyBlastLive. Can Daily Blast Live & partners use this video w/ credit? We love bringing our audience fun videos like yours? Thanks!
YAAAAAAAAS
Hey came from Mike Boyd channel and really liked your videos and gave u a subscribe
I think the only logical next step is an icing bot.
Also you should build a robot that mixes/prepares certain alcoholic drinks, like a bartender
Hi)
Cool. Now build a vending machine that makes tacos from scratch. Chop chop. Call it the Taconator.
next time give me a call - we have tools that easily dispense those powders and liquids for you!
3:00 - that fake excitement rofl.. Dude.. thats just a small motor spinning a rod.
4:12 so relatable
This isn't a cake baking robot it's a cake MIXING robot.
Starts @6:55
This guy came to my school st edmunds
Grinch’s ultimatum
Jordan 'n0thing' Gilbert tries robotics.
U came to my school today
Привет из России. Классный ролик, классный канал на CZcams. Очень жаль, что у тебя всего 33к подписчиков, потому что ты заслуживаешь большего! Удачи тебе!:-)
The pouring things, yeah give this guy ramen and he would make a robot to make it. Cant cook
Just finished an automatic dog door from an arduino - it worked great until one of the dogs decided to rip it all down. Sigh.
This super inspirational. Wow.

Never trust a robot with Cake, Hint the cake is a lie! jk it's the true true
You made a robot that mixes cake ingredients into a batter, it does not actually bake cake.
nice beard
Не прошло и года...
Like for grandma!
Holy shit that is incredible hahahahah
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢
I'm sorry, but you didn't build a cake baking robot. You only built a dough mixing robot so far. So you know what to do... That things not finished. not by a long shot. Now stop talking and get to work.
No offense but it's not a cake 'baking' robot.
However, very impressive
Also, very pointless 🤣
How is this any type of robot, let alone a CAKE BAKING robot? You have to pre-measure all ingredients, you have to put said ingredients into specifically designated holders. Then hit a button that starts a AUTOMATED process to dump the increments into a mixing bowl, after mixing, it then dumps into a baking dish. No baking, no cake. Want another liquid cake, start from scratch - after of course cleaning all the parts. The cakebot has successfully trained a human to make a cake for the bot. Hostess has had a REAL automated cake making machine for decades. Let me know when you have a robot that goes to the store, gets the ingredients, brings them home, mixes them with bowls and equipment it takes from the cabinets, puts the mixed batter in the oven, and then frosts it when it's done - THAT's a cake baking robot - not this semi automated SoC device. This is right up there with a REAL VOLCANO made by a 4th grader using paper mache, baking soda and vinegar - no really, it's a real volcano.
Von Skipppy I can't tell if you are being ironic
