I put these in my car and I’m glad I did. They didn’t fix my sticky reverse lockout issue, though. I suppose this is the best place to ask what else could be causing this, since you guys are doing such a good job with aftermarket support for these transmissions.
For some more context, I’m thinking the front-to-back cable end bushing is badly worn, since there’s a lot of play in the shifter in that direction, and that play was still present in that cable when I had the transmission locked in place during a recent short shifter install. I haven’t taken the whole center console out and looked at the bushing to confirm, though. (I’m not sure that the front-to-back has anything to do with the reverse lockout to begin with, but it being worn surely wouldn’t help.)

You can't adjust a shifter with a bunch of slop any better than you can align a vehicle with a worn out suspension. Stick not wanting to shift out of reverse can be either slop in front to back OR side to side bushing OR both causing what amounts to a bad adjustment. Fix the slop & reassess.

There is a rubber or plastic grommet that deformed at the base of my stick shifter, and it would not allow the shift to come back up. I could have shaved it down but I opted for a new shifter along with your kit. Shits solid now. I just uploaded my video a few minutes ago.

Sounds like you're talking about the old bushing. Ours replaced that to restore functionality without resorting to a bunch of new parts. And the material is significantly more rigid than stock for a better feel and a forever fix
