As protests continue on campuses across North America, we go to the University of Southern California, where the union representing about 3,000 graduate student workers at USC has filed an unfair labor practice charge against the school to end campus militarization and drop charges against students and faculty. The “rampant violence that they inflicted on our workers” violates the National Labor Relations Act, says Margaret Davis, president of UAW Local 872. “It was a clear act of retaliation because people were engaging in pro-Palestinian free speech, which they have a right to.”

This is what university should be like. To speak out. To practice being future leaders. To stand up for what is right. What is the point of a university education otherwise???
To pay money and write exams????
This is what a real university should look like in the time of world crisis.
The College President litteraly called in her form of the Thought Police.
Speak out yes, commit kidnapping, vandalism and intimidation, NO!
It’s learn how to get a job and be productive.
As a graduate in a STEM field, a useful degree 🤣😂🤣, there are many other reasons to attend a University.
@@gezenews STEM includes many fields, some are not as profitable or steady as others. So if one seeks a University degree one has to choose wisely. Still in the University context, there are many more useful degrees in the Stem fields than within the Humanities, Social Science etc. which is why referenced STEM's practicality.
Typically STEM fields require some level of formal education, though experience will certainly move one ahead. In engineering a bachelor's degree is often all that is required. In physics one will typically get further with a PhD. There are also a number of variables and other factors, like being overqualified, (Where degree(s) and/or experience hurts one's chances.) to consider.
As to the career possibilities without a University degree, skilled labor etc., there is no doubt that one can earn really good money, especially with the proper training and experience. For example, I have friends who worked in the trades, starting out as an apprentice, working up to journeyman and then Master, who earned more than I did. There are also other jobs and skills that pay well. Still, I would rather work in my field(s), know other colleagues who achieved high management positions or started their own businesses that topped us all. So it really depends on the person and the field or job.
Bottom line a University job doesn't guarantee success or a better future, one can earn good or better money pursuing other avenues and wise choices, hard work, responsibility etc are key to success whatever route one takes.
I didn't enter my graduate program until later in life and experienced much in between.

The messaging and what these Universities are teaching these young students should be a real wake up call to North Americans. Don't dare think for yourselves, don't dare share an opinion. don't dare speak unless we know in advance what your saying and no groups larger than 3 on our lawn. This is the impact of both Zionist and Corporate University funding, that money comes with terms that violate all the principles of freedom and learning. The youth today are taking bold steps though and as an older activist it brings to my eyes. They have a lot at stake but are not swayed as the cause is more dire. Keep up the good work and the pressure! Free Palestine....

It's amazing what has been made of the Speech That Was Never Made.
Well done 👍 Also, we need to start filing lawsuits for libel against anyone claiming protesters are “Hamas supporters” with zero evidence.
So your for Gaza (controlled by Hamas) but not for Hamas 🤔
Palestine has a split government with Gaza led and controlled by a terrorist organization.
Evidence like chanting from the river to the see, or wearing palestinian color because over 75 % of Palestinians elected and continue to support Hamas. Dear god far left libbies and communist are idiots, but that is only because most are under 30.
Since 2007 Gaza has been governed by the Hamas Government in Gaza.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) is the government body that controls parts of the West Bank, and is controlled by the Fatah party. The PA was established in 1994, and is part of the Oslo Accords peace agreement between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

The total US aid to 6 million Israeli jews since 1948 as provided by the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz is $234 billion dollars (a conservative estimate), which equates to $39,000 per person. This figure does not include the $3 Billion for the "Iron Dome" missile defense system donated to Israel by American taxpayers..nor does it include the 10's of billions in grants, forgiven loans and loan guarantees.
Nor does it include the $1.69 BILLION dollars American taxpayers donated to Israel since 1973 to "resettle refugees".
And there's $38 BILLION more from the American taxpayer 2018-2028 making a grand total of $272 BILLION by 2028 donated to a "jewish state" by American taxpayers alone. It's almost $200 BILLION more than Germany's reparations to the jews (approx $80 billion). Why?
The United States is doomed!😭

What does her unfair labor practice have to do with protest. Shows to you and everyone that whatever it takes for the protest . They find something else to protect the protest because of arrest. IT SHOWS ITS A CULT FOLLOWING NOW.
So teachers feel like they need to be treated better than the students they encourage to break school policies..
*This is how you know these people can't think for themselves:*
They protest a war between two separate nations, where one side is responding to an unprovoked attack, yet, *they've been silent for the past 3 years while the military of Myanmar slaughters its people* following a coup, where they took control of the government *because the people voted for Aung San Suu Kyi. Who is she? Oh, just a woman who was awarded the LITERAL Nobel Peace Prize for campaigning for democracy!* You can't make this up!!
It sounds like a novel or film, but it's reality!!!
The Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project says that *the war in Myanmar is the MOST violent of the 50 conflicts it tracks.* Since the coup, *at least 50,000 people have been killed there, including at least 8,000 civilians,* the group says.
By the end of last year, *more than 2.6 million people had been driven from their homes* in a country of about 55 million, according to the United Nations human rights office.
*More than 18 million people are in desperate need of humanitarian assistance,* according to the United Nations, which says that a million had required such aid before the coup.
*Each month, hundreds of thousands of people are displaced by the fighting.*
Yet, they can't even be bothered to look up what's going on in Myanmar.. sad
