Awesome job! That sea salt is such an awesome technique on regular models. Didn't even think to do it with RC bodies, But i'm no pro painter either lol. Awesome job!! * it blows my mind that it's 2021 and these big companies are still not pre cutting decals!!!

Literally just bought this body for my drag slash and went on you tube to learn how to paint it! I was all set to paint the outside with John Deere green from work! Boy did I pump the brakes fast on that!

After watching your video, I couldn't wait to go to poorboy raceway in SO Oregon to pick up a C10 body for my Traxxas revo 3.3 whoo hoo!!! Proline listen to the man and die-cut those stickers!!!!

Turned out real nice, like that you did it on inside of body most do it on outside.
I just got into airbrushing and airbrushing RC bodies, I completed a stampede body where I used a paint brush to do the wood bed. I had never done wood grain but it turned out awesome.

Thanks for the first RC body video with the liquid mask very good tried flames on a body similar to this one my first attempt and it came out so cool.

Looks good do you trim the bodies after your done painting them and I agree with you about prolines decals I don't understand why they don't do that
Yep...I trim all of it when the paint is finished curing

hey sorry to ask this might be a dumb thing to ask i have just started painting i am getting better to what i want to ask is about the liquid mask film you said it makes a mess in shop but i was wanting to know how an what to thin it down with to spray thu my airbrush an can i spray it out side hope it not a dumb question i love your work i got a lot of questions but one at a time thank

I think as needed. From bottle to bottle it varies. Not sure how much since they are always different. I run about 45psi most of the time
Love the look. What was your method to getting more of a flat look on the roof of the jeep?
Flat clear coat on the outside of the body
Could you wash the body in water to dissolve all of the salt??

Pretty cool but, I don't understand. It has a matt exterior finish but then at 22:00 it's gloss.
Peeled the overspray film off
I was expecting some some actual patina, like copper or bronze that might look like rust.
Good technique though! First time I've seen it done on the inside.
I've done it in copper as well, customer just didn't want that look. Exactly the same method of course with different colors.
