I have a few vintage books in my collection that aren't for reading, just for keeping. It's crazy that sprayed edges used to be a common occurrence!
I am glad others also have books they keep even if not to read!!! I just LOVE the look of vintage books! Also YES I LOVE the look of the sprayed edges!!!
Your thought process behind this whole thing is such a breath of fresh air! I have read books in the past that I absolutely love but don't own, yet I will go out of my way to purchase new books that I haven't read yet and probably won't read for a while. I'm glad that I have the mindset to purchase second hand for the most part but I definitely think I need to buy those books I have previously loved and take more time thinking over the new books that I bring into my home. Congrats on the progress you've made ♥

Thank you on the chunky book truth! I also rarely finish a 600 + page book and feel satisfied with how I’ve spent the time. I DNF’d plain bad heroines earlier this year about ⅓ of the way through because it was rough. I looked up reviews afterwards and I feel really good abou that decision.
I love decorating with books! I have collections of books dotted all over my house because they just make me smile whenever I walk past them. The sprayed edges on those Agatha Christie’s are so cool!
YESSSSS I am SO glad you also like decorating with books!!!! They really do bring so much joy just having them around the house, and some covers are honestly MADE to be put on display!! Also I am glad I am not the only one who feels this way about 600+ page books, like right?!?!?! UGH I SO AGREE!
I love this unhaul! And it's not _too_ brutal since you did read a lot of them and want to pay them forward! Dropping your count from 111 to 60 is SUPER impressive!

I LOVE the idea of books as decor as well as to be read! I could't agree more that they are beautiful and they are part of history in some cases.

YES I am so glad you agree as well, I think books can make the prettiest Home Decor!!! Also Yessss this Buffy series was such a let down, I had really high hopes because I LOVE Buffy and have enjoyed other Buffy comics but this reboot series just wasn't it 👀🤔😅
I have no difficulty in reading a six-hundred page book; I'm usually sad when a book that I like or love ends too soon.

100% agree with you on the Buffy BOOM comics. Terrible. I still collected them and will never get rid of them because I keep everything buffy related but they sucked soooo much. Don’t blame you for not finishing.

I love that there was a haul in the middle of this unhaul 😂 I get what you mean though...why am I in such a rush to buy a book that I know I'm not getting to within that month? It will likely still be available when I'm ready! hahaa- why does Giles look like a little boy? I never read the graphic novels, except one (just this week) called Buffy 97. It was more a compilation of half-baked stories though.
YESSS hahah I had to sprinkle in a little haul on top of the unhauls 😅🤣🙌 YESS literally he looked like a little kid in that graphic novel it was so bizarre! The Buffy Omnibus bindups are really good too and dont have to be read in order which is so nice!!
cool you found Kill For Me, Kill For You! I just got that in my March BOTM box and read it so that will be im my upcoming March wrapup. I saw a couple of the major "reveals" coming but not one of the others and it was still a wild ride.. very fast paced read. Popcorn Thriller as they say!
YESSS I actually read Kill For Me, Kill For You right after I brought it home and I liked it!! I rated it 4 stars, even though like you said I saw some of the reveals coming too!!! But it was a really fast paced read which I loved!!!

What's funny is that I started with Marple because it was shorter than Poirot 😂 But I also have a specific edition that I'm collecting. When I find them in stores, I pick them up right away, but now that I'm a few books in, it's actually a lot easier for me to unhaul ones I wind up not liking as much. I'm also doing the same with Shakespeare plays in a specific edition, trying to find the ones I read in school and unhauling ones I don't care for.

AWWW I LOVE that! You make me want to make some dedicated Buffy content! I never got to read Hexed before I ended up passing it on on my Pango account but I still would read a borrowed copy from the library!
@@mikalareads Hexed is amazing, top five favorite comic story, highly recommend if you hit a reading slump. I would TOTALLY watch dedicated Buffy content!

I read the first three buffy comics and I didn't think it had good artwork and story. I didn't bother to continue the series so it's good you're unhauling them!
I still think I may checkout Ararat by Christopher golden in the future! But I definitely was not ready to start a new series right now, not knowing it was one when I picked that one up LOL!!! ALSO I agree 100% with your thoughts on the Buffy series! Honestly that seems to be the consensus with that one, of allll the reviews I have seen no one seems to think very highly of it!
I need to do an unhaul again soon - I went to a library sale recently as well and while I read some of them super quick there are more from that sale that have now added to my TBR so I essentially went back to square one. Still hoping I can read it down a bit more this year though.
UGH THIS is my biggest problem is when I go to library sales I tend to bring home WAY more books then I can read in a reasonable amount of time, so I realllly feel your pain!!! The last library sale I went to I limited myself and actually only brought home 4 books!!! And one of them I had read before! So I was very proud of my restraint there hahah!

i am so surprise theres not an audiobook for the raven and the Reindeer im so curious on what decides what book gets te audio book treatment and what doesn't
The Raven and the Reindeer is self-published and making an audiobook is quite expensive, so that might be it.
@user-pk4gy9ic6c I was suprised too that there was not an audio for this one, especially I have seen other of TKingfishers fairytale retellings with audios like "Bryony and Roses", but just not this one arg!

I havnt seen this trailer yet for Maxxxine, but I will definitely check it!!! I am so behind on the newer horror/thriller films these days but I wonder if I could start some sort of series on my channel around watching the new movies, I think that could be so fun!
