+TGGeko Worf is Klingon to the point of not being a normal Klingon. Most Klingon's are willing to stab and cheat, they lie, they conspire. Yet Worf is the only one rigid enough never to stoop to anything beyond his version of chivalry.
+V Guyver Worf is a Klingon who grew up only with the idealised view of Klingon society. He aspired to be something that didn't actually exist, in order to live up to a reputation he thought he could never achieve. The difference between Worf and most Klingons is that Worf is about internal honour, whilst most other Klingons are about external honour. By that I mean that most Klingons view honour as their reputation - it is how they are perceived by others that matters. Worf is the opposite - it is about he judges himself foremost. That is why Worf accepted his discommodation, because his honour demanded he sacrifice his name to save the Empire. It is also why the entire High Council went along with a lie in order to protect the public name of the son of a criminal. Most Klingons only cared about the image of honour, whereas Worf was all about living up to his own code.
Helbore SF Debris made the same point. Which is accurate, but the other thing about all this is that Worf is living up to a unrealistic form of Klingon chivalry. He's a Klingon Don Quixote in that aspect.

Worf was always the most boring Klingon compared to the others.
TGGeko I like that they actually get into WHY he was like that in Deep Space Nine, because he had to hold back around humans and because he had an idealized view of being Klingon because he didn't get to see how the messy political realities were until he was an adult.
Worf: "That's a prejudice xenophobic view"
martok: "We are klingons, take your woke nonsense back to the federation."
I mean worf is kind of right lol
Ιt was xenophobic! For Klingons race is not so important as long as you prove youself strong, honorable and worthy! Sirella is xenophobic even to Klingon standarts -Martok said that an alien must honor their traditions and prove themselves worthy and admited that Jadjia forfill those standarts!
