Your inventory isn't full of inventions Luke
you're saying it wrong and always have done
"Every time someone plays he gets a bit smarter."
Guess we'd better play in groups of 8192, then, or he's going to crash.
Ellen just sinked in style (to the new level of evil). Jane will be proud! :D
That Ellening was just so elaborate and clever that i did not see it comming, neither did Luke. Bravo miss Rose, your diabolical brain is in peak form :P
Would love to see you lot in London but I've never played/seen d&d before. Please be honest, do you think it would be a waste of money for me? should I wait for a different occasion to see you?
"Luke's Problems for Later" should definitely be segment
Relatable.
I came here to comment this
I'd absolutely watch that, up first: Luke lamenting that he'll have to do his taxes soon
Given that my name is also Luke, it's a segment I could totally relate to.
Or a Tee shirt
Ooooh my gingerbread ship made it to Show of the Weekend! I will enjoy my five minutes of being cool by association now. ;)
If anyone is curious, the curved surface I put the sails on was a mega-roll I created from a sleeping mat, a rug, a yoga mat and some other bits and bobs. I feel like that pretty much sums up the process of creating the Jolly Damnation Gingerbread Wonder
OMG! THIS WAS BEYOND WONDERFUL!!!
Seriously impressive
Some serious skills there! And those little oxventurers are adorable ^^.
You made that? I saw the pics on Twitter and holy fudge she’s amazing🤩
With skills like that you should definitely apply for Bake Off!
Luke at Disney world: "don't tell Ellen"
Ellen throwing evil Luke's sunglasses away.
Absolutely SAVAGE Ellen! 😂
Bake off person: what's holding the ship together?
Thehelening: uhh, it's orphans boss...
Gotta love those lovable skeletons!!
Comment: "Ellen's pick for game of the year was obvious"
Ellen: "How could they know I picked that"?
Me: I expect a supercut-version of every time Ellen name-dropped koa.
That'd be superlong.
I'd like to see that.
Would have added another 25 minutes to the video, probably why they didn't.
"So i thought, New year, new me"
OH MY GOD, EVIL LUKE HAS SET UP A CLONING PROGRAM!
Either that, or he's figured out how to reincarnate/resurrect himself into a new body every time he dies.
We're all screwed in any case.
Surely Jane would've seen regular Luke tied up as she goes down into her secret lab behind the sofa
Oh right it's Jane
Carry on
Good Jane might but no one's seen her for ages...
@@Banquet42 The regular versions of all the team have been tied up down in evil Jane's lab since at least early 2018. I've started to worry about them.
@@LJay_1985 Jane does feed them, every blue moon sure.
@@Banquet42 There's a good Jane? Isn't regular Jane centuries old?
@@marhawkman303 They call her good Jane.
But its like the difference between Chaotic Evil and Neutral Evil
I was so amazed at Luke's ability to read that "article" without bursting into laughter and then he just doubles up the amaze by saying that he didn't even pay attention to what he was reading! :o
I knew it would be something like that as soon as she handed it to him. I could see the look of impending Ellening on her face.
How is it possible that I'm reading this(all these comments) just at the rate this comes out...
Indeed, also shocked he didn't just stop at the delinquent part of Ellen's vehement indictment of Luke's activities mid sentence to just slowly turn and look questioningly at Ellen, the way only he can with his eyebrows...
Ellen: "I didn't really enunciate as well as I could have..."
Luke: "Well neither did the Spice Girls."
Me: That Spice isn't really Sporty of you, Luke
Don't be such a Baby.
The Spice Girls will be needing to say "Allo, Vera" after that burn.
Sounds like a very Posh spice. Instead of that, Ginger spice is very medicinal, for burns or nausea.
BOO!!!
that song the person came up with for Peak performance was brilliant
Just listened to it... brilliantly done
Thank you!
Not even 7 minutes in and Ellen is already laughing herself silly. Glad that some things don't change!
Not sure, but I think she was laughing at a pitch that’s beyond my range of hearing.
Soooooo infectious...
"Isn't withholding my sunglasses the same as subjugating humanity?"
I didn't realize evil Luke was an enlightened centrist.
"Evil Luke's been at the wheel for quite some time"
Well, that explains the whole K.K. Slider...thing
Ellen's reaction to losing the box counting game to Luke was channeling some powerful little-sister energy.
In all fairness to Luke, he was faster on every other counting challange. If it had been a match setup rather than aggregate, it would have been no contest
After bingewatching all of the shows of the weekend in the last half Year, I just realised, that the live DnDs that they announced never happened and it made me cry for way longer than it should have!
Luke: I got caught in the radius!
*holds his lower arm. His Radius*
The depth 👏👏👏
Now there's a theme park idea: Oxventureland! With rides like Peak Performance and the Egbert shield jump, visit the red wet Orphanage of Bumble and get some lovely Necropolis snacks.. Hmm, may need some work
I'd actually invest!!
Thanks to Ellen's t-shirt, Rose got more screen time in Show of the Weekend than in Rise of Skywalker. It's clear which is the superior entertainment. Love you guys.
Surely even if Luke was behind the sofa since May, we'd have seen the top of his head poking up. Only Ellen would be totally hidden behind there, and no one would ever be the wiser.
No need to hide Ellen, she's been going the "Jane" way for a while now, following a very dark path indeed ^_^
@@alexanderzhmurov9624 Only because she doesn't want to end up down there lol.
Luke: "You stood on the shoulders of giants."
Me: "Err... Dr. Kawashima doesn't have shoulders..."
"You stood on the foreheads of giants"
Because *somebody's* KoA character already stood on his shoulders, and lopped off his head
Isn't everyone giant to ellen? Ha ha sorry........
Poor evil Luke. He just wants to have a normal life with friends, because he doesn´t want to be stuck in his evil ways. And this is the only way he knows how to get people to like him. :(
Also, he did the Charity Single which we all love. Normal Luke would never do that. #WeWantEvilLuke
Ellen, if you'd be so kind, tell us more of this Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, you've barely mentioned it at all this year/decade.
Also, the continuing adventures of Orca would be a lovely treat, please.
Sometimes I click the info card to see what's there and this time it resulted in me being first to vote on the poll ,thus 100% correct. I love democracy
Yes, ...democracy, modern democracy, exactly right you are
"First past the post", except "the post" is just the voting booth entrance door, and the winner is decided by whoever gets inside and successfully casts a vote first.
Ellen: **throws Evil Luke’s sunglasses away**
Me: I’d like to see Evil Luke try and come back without the source of his power.
25 minutes in the full extent of the Ellening hits Luke hard.
Luke: Oh no my fairies have gone
Ellen: holds side due to laughter
Now it feels like Saturday night again, welcome back SOTWE.
That ballad of peak song was brilliant
12:18
Luke: "You've stood on the shoulders of giants..."
Me: "Surely she's stood on the shoulders of a giant... head."
"All my fairies I ate them all!" Zelda has gotten very hedonistic
The Ballad of Peak Mountain is superb. 😘💖💖💖
💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
The evil clones are here again - time to get the spray bottle to keep them at bay.
Oh, the clones!😉
Let’s hope they don’t attack, Andy can only boo so many bad puns.
Now i want a clip show of every single time that Ellen mentions kingdoms of amalaur
That song at the end was actually the most amazing thing. There are some real talented people in the OX community.
"These are Luke problems for later..."
Part of me wants to hear more of these "Luke problems"! I'm intrigued!
Lukes like we have a lot to thank Evil Luke for, if he's been here since May.
First Ellening of the decade😋
I cannot overstate how good Peak Performance as The Devil Went Down to Georgia sounds.
Edit: Oxventure Land, people. Make it happen.
"Today in Dr. Rose's Brain Drain..."
I love the idea of a Peak Performance ride at Disneyland having little animatronic zombie animals struggling in cursed traps and limping their way up the mountain alongside the track.
Yay for new Show of the Weekend, feel like it's been a decade since evil mirror universe Luke was last around
I'd quite easily sit and watch a video of Luke Problems, searching for a plug in a drawer and it needing to be the right one is a hell we've all endured as gamers.
Its 3:07 AM and I need something to watch. Thank the lord for time zones
I simply agree
Ye, I'm doing ze same sing
only one Show of the Weekend in to the year and already we have them singing along to music, what a year we are in for
Evil Luke is from the mirror dimension made by Jane who in the mirror dimension is the ruler and sent Luke to take over this dimension for her. Easy.
I remember playing Brain Training on the DS. I would do the reading game so quickly (reading the words but not actually taking any of it in) that the game would often think I was cheating.
Me, too.
We need a “Luke”s Problems” show ! Maybe call it “Luke’s Series of Unfortunate Events”?
Ellen: "How many Power Rangers are there?"
Luke: *holds up 5 fingers*
Me: "there are 6"
Depends on the series. Also if you count up ALL of them from all the series, there's probably over 100.
depends on the generation, i think one of them only had 3
Duane Gee a couple start with 3 but gain more
Ellen-ing has evolved...........
Wow - that song about the latest Oxventure was great - I want the back-catalogue please.
I was more pleased than I thought I would be!
I cant wait for the new single. "I get knocked down, but I get fairyied up again, and then knocked down again, and fairyied up again...and again....and again."
I love the idea that Luke is such a sweet and kind person that Evil Luke isn't really that evil, he's just slightly more goth.
Elen: Box counting
Me: scoffs
Also me: amazed at how intense it turns out to be
This quiz might go down as one of the greatest Ellenings ever. Luke's poor brain.
I don't usually consider myself a continuity type, but I am absolutely SHAKEN by the retcon that Evil Luke wrote the single.
That clickity clack of the box counting is so satisfying
Omg that song is excellent! Thanks to them for making it available! Fun beautiful ballad, everything I could have asked for, and it ends so brilliantly. Amazing job. ❤
“All my fairies have gone, I ate them all!” - How we all felt by the end of 2019
"Shouldn't have made a mistake" That's some solid advice right there
I still want Ellen to play Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
"How many Power Rangers?"
5, 6, 7, sometimes 8 or more if it's a weird season.
I remember Jungle Fury having like, 8.
or i may be wrong.
I'm pretty sure Dino charge had 10, plus two wizards. The kids I babysit were obsessed with it and I remember seeing the team-up and thinking "well, that's a bit excessive"
ThunderCuttlefish was a big part of my childhood too, Luke.
i would like a show called Luke Problems For Later, where its just Luke walking us through the little struggles of day to day life
I also wanted to replay botw a while back but i didn’t want to delete my save andi was too scared to start master mode, then i had a brilliant idea! I now have a new profile on my switch exclusively for my botw replay, yeah im a genius
Luke sadly saying "I would go on a pub crawl with Donald Duck" is how I hoped 2020 would start.
Breath of the wild on Master mode
Luke i wish you the best of luck with Thunderblight Ganon...i struggled with that thing on normal difficultly
14:45 Ah yes, that wonderful television show Thunder-headcrabs...
19:29 - "...when an evil friend of mine with an emulator..."
If there's anything evil in this scenario, it's Nintendo's tendency to give their old games artificial scarcity to create demand for them. To fight such a system, emulators are morally good.
All software is sold based on artificial scarcity. If you're not okay with that, then you basically have to use only open-sourced programs.
Think about it this way: Your *copy* of a game might have artificial scarcity, but the game as a whole doesn't, because there's nothing artificial about the scarcity of competent programmers, artists, managers, testers, etc. Giving the games artificial scarcity just helps make it economically viable for them to keep making new games- basically all of which turn out great.
0:38 I love that you can hear the grinning in Luke's voice.
I think the continued existence of Evil!Luke only adds to the OXBoxTra canon.
I personally like the call back to the Corazon bust on the prow of the Joyful Damnation
I had a lot of fun making that. 😆
Having the last video of Ellen still hanging around in the back of my head I just wanted to say that I feel like you look like you are happy and back on track (heath wise) and I hope you (and everybody else) has a great 2020
"It feels quite cool when you do take something down..."
*He says, over the clip of Link smacking a creature on the bum*
So cool...
Schoner's song is really good😋
That brain training quiz was an amazing trap. I didn't see it coming. Well done!
Of all the times Luke and Ellen have broken each other, Luke's "fairies" bit is the best. You guys make any day immediately wonderful :)
Edit: I spoke too soon. It only gets better.
Way behind this and other loved channels. Got to the point where I briefly wondered if I really need to catch up. Or just skip to current vids. Damn I’m glad I chose to catch up.😂
Another great video. Ellen and Luke get me rolling every show. I chase that laugh high ever episode. That sweet elixir that was the kippers rocket boots episode. I literally almost suffocated. Keep up the great work.
Loved the show guys....great to see you back! That song by Brian Schoner, absolutely amazing. I’m after been giggling away to it here in my living room. Well done 👍
Luke: "The whole quiz was a trap". ME: Does anyone know where i can pre order the new switch game Brain Ellening?
I love when Ellen has her goose puppet. The goose puppet should be a regular part of the show.. lol
So glad you guys are back! First SOTW of the year! Woop woop!
Donald duck and Luke would get on with each other I'm sure. Technically Donald is in a band-I'm not joking. They're called artists are idiots. They use samples of Donald duck in place of a singer.
There's another band called "hatebeak" who have a parrot for a singer. True.
Happy 2020! You guys have the best chemistry too :) keep up the great work!
Wow, 35 min runtime? Must be full of detail!
**Luke and Ellen sing the entire Dr Mario theme**
Evil Luke: If you don't give me those shades back, you'll sink to my level. Is that what you want?
Ellen: No...
*Throws shades off screen*
I will sink further!
I love this channel. Your on-screen chemistry is amazing
Ellens slightly out of focus pouting at 24:09 is so adorable! I feel the box counting could already be a favorite moment of the year 2020.
When Luke told Ellen she stood on the shoulders of giants I just pictured Ellen on top of Luke!!
I'm SO impressed at Luke and Ellen's ability to repeat Spice Girls themed things at rapid pace, I feel like this was not their first time doing it
Man... I'm doing life wrong. You know what I've made since Peak Performance went live? Poops. I have made poops. I am now officially on par with my cats. Great. Dude writes a song and makes a video... I make poops. I am a cat. I am a cat who knows how to type. Wait... no that's awesome! Forget his song and video, I'm a cat who can type! Sweet.
Thank you Luke and Ellen for making my Saturday mornings so enjoyable week after week!
this might be my favourite episode of show of the weekend yet! which means a lot
Happy New Decade, Luke and Ellen! Can't wait to forge more #preshmems with you and the rest of the Oxboxtra family
The whole brain age thing was the ultimate Ellening. Starting the New Year off strong.
The ballad was amazing
Ellen's laugh is infectious.
Oh gosh, a Peak Performance amusement park ride sounds terrifying. Falling in a spike trap, setting a bear (and a person) on fire, zombie animals, a giant dragon blowing the roof off and freezing everything... Definitely more intense than It’s a Small World.
Also I think it’s great that you’re showcasing the gingerbread Joyful Damnation on the same day Luke released a song about making model ships. :D
