I know .. as long as you have everything on your USB you should have all your saves/ect for your games and just need to re-configure it in dev mode, once you get it installed
I bought a series S since they disabled emulators on retail on my Series X ( I heard about potential bricking so I'm not messing around with my X) Still a good investment I would say since playing Tenchu Z on xenia and N64 games on my bigass TV in my living room is priceless to me.
just a FYI that the dev mode brick isnt really a console brick and wont mess up anything on your xbox, its something within dev mode when using things like FTP, but you dont need FTP since you can do everything from the Xbox access portal ! so tbh adding it to your series x shouldnt be any issue :) you will not get banned/Your console wont be affected in any negative way and im also on series x so i completely understand how you would feel at first but you will be good !

It's a retroarch question that I don't see that you have the video. Why in a new installation of retroarch, does it not load the saves, states, configs, etc., if they worked in the previous version of retrarch? I put the correct directories of the external USB, I already tried 3 installations and the same thing happens.

What should I do if my majority of my games are not showing up when I look for the games directory on my USB. I for sure have games because I played them when there use to be retail mode.
Nevermind it did it, I just has three games in sub folders in the game tab so only those showed up..but when I picked the main folder which is the games folder instead of sub folders..all the game iso showed up..Thanks reviveme! you explain everything extremely well

@@newjackgaming88 not at all, download dev mode in the MS store on your console, and then it should tell you more from there, you would just need to sign up,connect your xbox account and pay a one time fee of like 20$, and youll have it forever
If you already have your USB formatted to NTFS then you don’t need to reformat ! But if you never allowed permissions, please do that to your drive and you should be good to go :)

if your saves were on the xbox internally then they are all gone :( , make sure to set up the memory cards to your usb so that all your saves are kept safe ! do you still have your retail apps installed?
@@ReviveMe Yes, I had the apps yet on my retail but I real lost the saves.. But I see in your Channel a video How to pick any save data and put on memory card, so I pick on google a save for some games I already beat hahah Like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for example and worked 😃 Man thank you so much!!

No links disappeared , I’ve always had the files in the discord server , if you were to get them from the website then you would get a bunch of extra files that you don’t need from the pc versions, you could always just join get what you need and then leave lol

Man i wish! I always thought that it would be more dope, but it’s works just as good in retroarch so i don’t think there will ever be a standalone one unfortunately but if one ever does come out i will for sure make a video on it :)
Once you get dev mode installed it should be pretty easy , come right back to this video and just follow the beginning steps to how to install the app! Once you get the apps installed it’ll be the same process of setting them up like how it was on retail. I will be making another video on how to install the apps an try to make it simpler

Xbox one s lacks the performance to handle this one, you can use retroarch and play ps1 and below! (Will still have issues) but Series S/X recommended!

Dev mode will never banned you,
Dev mode doesn’t apply to the store TOS since there is no store, so you’re completely safe ! :)

Yes you can but you end up being limited to only 30gb of space

Hi there, could i just format my USB to FAT32, would it still work as per normal, I'm in Dev mode
Retroarch may read the FAT32 but all the other apps will not work properly, Has to be NTFS and need to allow permissions on the drive

if your usb is already formatted to ntfs, then all you would need to do is the permissions step at the botton allowing permissions to the drive :)
