Ok, but Reacher is effectively immortal. He can only die of old age, because the author is too predisposed to making him a surrogate for who he wishes he was. This is not to say that the show isn't fun as hell, but my god the books are baaaaaad.
I honestly feel bad for reacher. Despite some superhumman showings in the second season he is the most grounded to real earth of all of them.
That is part of why he would get killed by them in a street fight or a gun fight or a weapons fight. The WRITERS of Reacher were trying to make him stronger and tougher than most people maybe bordering on "peak human" but NOT off the charts super human like the other 3 in this video. In some of his fights he got hurt and his opponents put up a somewhat decent fight before he took them down and he was never tested (so far maybe season 3?) against REALLY HARD opponents as the others were. He is basically beating up punks and thugs. The ONLY advantage he has over the others is size and strength and due to them all being pretty strong its not as big an advantage as he would have against a regular person the "gap" is smaller.
@Zurround Clancy actually wrote an insane character in Reacher unfortunately this is not the book adaptation it should be.
Edit: I read these books back in middle and high school. Im now closing on 30yrs old. So that was around 10-12 yrs ago. I remember some incredibly brutal sequences that would've landed both men well into Tyler Rake levels of lethality. Without Remorse in particular was a wild ride. Regardless the point is that was a while back and memory isn't perfect.

In the movie the main villain, Chong Li did what should have been a fatal stomp on his head but he survived (but got knocked unconscious and had to be hospitalized) due to having an abnormally thick skull.
I had Wick winning from the moment I read the title.

Reacher got did dirty, I've read his books and he is a lot more than just punching. He knows everyone's weaknesses by talking to them.

he hasnt though. and Wicks greatest asset is plot armor. He could be killed by a sniper with very low difficulty

The numbers do not lie. The four John Wick movies took place over a week...and amassed HUNDREDS of kills, most of which have the same specs as the other three contestants..and still wins. And that one week takes place after being retired for some time, and all the history of Wicks skill before retirement. Baba Yaga wins.

Well in the original “Scorn” screenplay, John Wick is meant to be a long retired assassin in his mid 60’s & super attached to his elderly dog who is killed by Iosef immediately following his wife’s funeral, thus dragging him back into the FAFO game. Keanu obviously had a strong influence on the plot & overall franchise, hence changing the films name from “Scorn” to “John Wick” cuz that’s what he kept calling the 1st movie & it stuck like superglue.
Tyler Rake is a monster. I can rewatch his movies over and over.
i watched both the Extraction movies with a lady friend back in August and by the end of the 2nd movie she was googling to see if there is a 3rd movie

@@kanielabarcai6182 Of the 4 men in this video he is the LEAST likely to win a fist fight because in a fight SPEED is the most important thing. Strength may play a factor and he is the strongest and he would crush me like a bug but being that they ALL are pretty damned strong the GAP in strength between him and the others is not as extreme as it is for most of the punks Reacher throws around and being the SLOWEST of the 4 he is the least likely to win a fight. The human body is delicate and the faster 3 all know just what pressure points to aim for.

I think if I'm honest the fight between the four would be very inconclusive since all four are all highly trained & show a great mix of close-quarters combat, stealth, durability & training. Personally, I think in this fight Reacher's tactical prowess is also a factor that is underestimated as Reacher was an accomplished Major in the US Army. He can identify others fighting styles and find a capable counter for them in the moment as we saw in series 1 of the Amazon series where he identified a South American special forces fighting style.

Honestly, I think Tyler Rake can take this. Yes, John Wick is hard to beat in a shootout but if anyone can do it, it's him. And I think an unarmed fight would come down between Shaw and Rake
I rank Reacher dead last in fist fight because SPEED is so much more important than STRENGTH and of the 4 he is the slowest, probably because the ACTOR could only move so fast with his big bulky body and possibly no training and that was the best they could do filming his scenes. The BOOKS the show is based on might have him faster.

As much as I love John Wick’s fighting and shooting abilities I have to go with Tyler Rake, he’s tall, strong and can shoot and fight all at the same time. He is just a master at what he does.

John's whole shtick is dominating the world's best killers and assassins in a world composed of killers and assassins. I admit in a hand to hand fight he is probably screwed but, with guns he if far more than capable enough to win.

There's one thing that wasn't mentioned though. Reacher has an ability to prep a battlefield that the other 3 don't possess, and a highly tactical mindset that wasn't really touched on. His job in the military was to hunt down and capture or eliminate Spec Ops soldiers, arguably the best in the world at disappearing, and he was able to do that through keen investigative skills and tactical knowledge. He's kinda like Batman in that regard. I'm not saying that it would change the outcome, but it's definitely worth mentioning.

Prep is an interesting point. Arguably shaw is just as good as reacher in that area by feats. John and rake dont have prep feats cause everywhere they go they have no idea who or what is waiting for them. If given the chance i think all of these characters would be even in this area

John has beaten bigger muscular dudes before but always using weapons when he fights without weapons he struggles against the bigger fighters. Achilles is the best fighter with Maximus right behind him. Leonidas is a better leader and probably takes the physical attributes in this. I love Wallace and all but he just isn’t as good of a fighter compared to the others

I agree. Reacher isn't fighting trained assassins or trained death squads in majority of his fights. I think Deckered Shaw would come in second in fighting skills since he did fight against a pretty much cyborg that can read your moves and counter them. But in a gun fight he would be 3rd. Curious as to how you (Danco) would rate each one in order from 1 to 4.
I pretty much agree with you Dan but here's my take.
Random encounter in the middle of a city John takes it with ease.
If Tyler can get some prep time a la Batman. He's going to snipe everybody and it'll be over before it can start.
If we're in say a Russian bathhouse no one has weapons every man for himself Shaw's going to take it.
If someone from 110th is murdered or framed Reacher putting everybody in the ground.
Overall John is definitely going to win because he's the most suited for any random situation but it's mentioned above there are going to be very specific times when he's getting rocked.
Finally a really good narrow showdown, also have a look at reacher s1 and 2 its very good
Robert McCall from The Equalizer should definitely be in this line up.
And Jason Borne.
Robert would lose without prep time. I love him but he's never beaten anyone we've seen on the level of these guys. Most of the people he's beaten are average CIA ops or average gangsters for hire.

John wick shouldn't even be on this list he not fair. He label as "human" but except maybe the first movie he's not. He is 100% not. I know in movies there the rule of suspension of belief but John takes that to a whole new level in his movies especially his sequels. Like look how the third movie ends. After having non-stop attacks since the first movie less than 3 weeks. He falls off a building hitting multiple mental bars and lives. Black widow (who lives in a superhero comic book world) goes through 25% that in her movie and everyone like "it makes no sense". There a super bais with John Wick. When your playing a badass fighter in a movie, of course your going to gain some real life fighting skill.
But when you've tirelessly put in so much work into your character that your own stuntboss/choreographer says that you've gone so far beyond acting that you're a real life threat/dangerous man, then you know the other challengers in this video stand no chance. Im of course talking about Keanu Reaves/John Wick.

John Wick wins mid difficulty. Tyler Rake is a good second. Jack Reacher might be the best hand to hand fighter but that would mean nothing in this 4 way gun fight. Decard Shaw isn’t even a factor here. John Wick wins with minor cuts and bruises (almost all given by Tyler Rake).
While I know John will win and voted John, I got to say you got it all wrong, Decard will be his biggest problem mainly because of his Deadpool personality that leads him to do unpredictable shyt. He'll find some way to do incredible damage on John but that'll only happen if he's able to make it to that round. Most likely he would because Tyler and John would be going after eachother while they leave decard to beat down Jack, which decard wouldn't really have a struggle with.
Idk man Deckard is a wild card. What makes him so special is he's not afraid to cheat in a fight. He’ll literally throw a bomb at you. At the very least, Shaw beats Reacher.
Deckard is a factor here. He can and will in in a pure H2H battle....but the problem for him is that this will not be just a close quarters battle.

What a great video. What a great comparison. I do agree that John Wick would probably win it all. The numbers listed for John Wicks, do not include the people before he went into retirement. As for Reacher, are you going to include the Tom Cruise movies in those numbers? He did some pretty awful things in those movies.
