Eight Crazy Nights | Bum Biddy Song - Krátké a kreslené filmy
This movie has the same moral as Shrek: don't make fun of people for how they look, unless you're a main character, then you can do it all you want.
It's more redemption
Lol
True😂😂😂
@@seanchukwuezi3079 You can't be redeemed if you never stop. Even during his big speech about how everyone should respect Whitey and not make fun of him, he's already moved on to making fun of other people.

I love how he talks about his own offenses first. He's not being a hypocrite, he's calling himself out as well.
He’s saying he’s no better than them and asks them through song “now be honest. You have mistreated him haven’t you?”
Then he goes right back to being an asshole but good for him for pretending to be a good person for a few minutes

This song has literally no right to slap this hard. Eight Crazy Nights keeps me up at night bc you can tell a lot of talented people were involved, yet the writing is like next level abismal.
Its a movie so bad that its good. So many stupid jokes, characters, and moments, yet its been out for 20 years and we still talk about it
Ive known people who say its not an amazing movie, but they watch it yearly because they remember it
It didnt have to be good, but it had to be memorable. And it did that tenfold
The film is one of the worst films but the animation and this scene is great and decent.

@@vyndis3639 The Mayor told a joke and everyone had a REALLY hard pop and the Asian guy took his shirt off and smacked his face on the table.

Ong bro
Perhaps, but the humor balances it out.
SQU33G1, I agree.
It hits like a shaved feather 😂
I'm still a kid and I grew up on this and it always hit hard
A LOT of the jokes in this movie blow ass but there's a lot of solid hits in there. Plus it's just got insane production value.
i think part of it is like...the good parts are so good it makes the bad parts look worse igss? like the bad parts are disappointing set against the rest of it
I do think in general this film absolutely sucks, but it is definitely worth watching and despite not being a *good* film, it does a great job of being a silly *bad* film and has many iconic and simply great moments. The voice acting on Adam's part is also astounding, and the music and animation is amazing. It's disgusting at times, and it's jokes do indeed blow ass, but despite it's many flaws that ultimately render it a bad film, it will always have a very special place in my heart. And I've never looked at a basketball referee the same way after watching this film.
@@drharoldpontiffcoomerthe movie is great overall and Ymir only reason people say it's bad in anyway is because it doesn't conform to the new age "morals" where everything is offensive so that makes it bad or unfunny
@@nnightkingj jokes about deer licking feces and grinning with their brown-colored teeth right into the camera aren't "offensive", they're disgusting. Just because the movie is iconic and fun to watch doesn't mean it's a good film and every joke in it should be praised. What the hell is offensive about the film?
@@drharoldpontiffcoomer the moment literally served the plot it's not like it was a joke for the sake of Jokes regardless every movie has jokes that won't hit with everybody besides I'm talking about the fat jokes for example at the basketball game I wouldn't every day this film is iconic it's mostly hard from what I see and I genuinely feel this is a good movie period good story that shows how grief can affect a person good characters, moments animation music and to me jokes overall
What I found so surprisingly ironic is that one minute the townspeople was ready to send Davey up the river but moments later when Davey revealed how Whitey was mistreated over the years everyone including the Judge himself took Davey’s redemption seriously and silently relent on that 10 year prison sentence.
Like how Saint Moses the Black said , "My sins run out behind me and I do nly see them but today I am coming to judge the errors of another" .
That’s honestly a great concept for a story, but writing wise seems to be off.
2:51
I absolutely love how he just shows up outta nowhere
Me too and he dance perfectly 😁👍👍
to be technical, he's supposed to be there the entire time but the animators forgot. In the beginning of the actual scene the main character was getting arrested
The sheer drama in his voice paired up with those super long sentences being said really fast in the first 45 seconds is nothing short of hilarious 😂
2:51 this comes out of nowhere and it makes me laugh unintentionally
Also the mom and her son singing voices are way too good for this movie
Turns out that the mother’s singing voice is the country singer Alison Krauss. I recognize her voice.

There's just something about this song that keeps drawing my attention
It has some genuinely good moments such as this. The song is silly, but full of heart and not unnecessarily crass like several others
I think it’s a very good movie. I watched it when I was a kid and back then I have no idea what Hanukah is, since my country has no jewish people. I still relate to many moments in this movie.

I did the math. Whitney is 67 years old in the movie. Meaning he was born in 1935. The movie takes place in 2002 as seen by the televisions. Now, at the prom it said 1945, whitey was only 10, either he was a smart kid or just happened to pass for a teenager
He was 69 in the movie, about to turn 70, so if the movie took place in the winter of 2001, he was probably born in 1932. The poster says 1946, so he was probably 14 or 15.

The movie's worst qualities are the toilet humor. They can be semi funny depending how they're used I guess? But the constant fart and poop jokes in this movie really set it back. The singing is actually really impressive and the animation being done by the same people who made the Iron Giant is nothing but fantastic. The fact that the movie does a surprisingly heartfelt take on accepting loss and not letting it ruin who you are and to be kind to others, while both letting Christmas AND Hannukah shine in a seasonal movie is great.
I genuinely think if the movie would have toned down the toilet humor, it would have been received way better.
That the thing about this film. It really the bad film. But the singing and animation is really good.

*And DVD too.* 😁👍👍
Honestly I am so blown away by this animation. It's absolutely phenomenal
I think some people don't realize how great this song is. Aside from having a good tune and funny lyrics, it was really heartfelt how the worst offender Davey is the one who convinces the town that they were all wrong to be so mean to someone who never did anything to deserve such treatment. We get to see how other people mistreated him and we witness their remorse. We see Jennifer and her son help support Davey as well as they are one of the very few people who truly realize how mistreated Whitey was and did what they could to help support him.
The bum biddy song and dance was well animated and cool to see. I love the fact that Davey mentions Tom and his hook hand as it just comes out of nowhere and has nothing to do with Whitey, but he still mentions it anyway and Tom acknowledges his mistake of using the wrong hand. xD Seeing the guy doing that kicking dance at the end was great, too.
3:00 This is weirdly hypnotic
1:51 “WE SHOULD ALL ROT IN HELL!!!”

I come back to this every Christmas and every time I laugh at the single guitarist that it shows just doing the single dramatic string to help Davey's song. Like the man KNEW his job

First it was nostalgia critic saying how this movie is shit, then oneyplays says it's actually good
I guess in some of our perspectives we can think its good or bad
It's definitely not as bad as Doug claims it to be, there's a lot to like about it. I think its main problem is Sandler's brand of humor kind of tarnishes what is otherwise a really solid holiday film. Take that out, and it's actually not that bad.
