    Wayne, it was fun “following” you along in this mini series. The landscape of the Southwest is just stunning.

      Alex, we're indeed fortunate to be able to fly over this amazing landscape. Thanks as always for watching.

    Always love the opportunity to join you on your flights. Wonderful footage.
    I fly a Cirrus from South Florida but always with someone else. I get bored by myself.
    Have to learn from you.
    Happy flying

    What . . . I was expecting to break out singing: Take it Easy" . . .
    Ya know we have a trademark on flying with "Cookies" - HA!

      Now "take it easy' on me, Ron... on a previous video I pass overhead KINW and I slipped in some text-over "The Corner", and no one seemed to get it. Go figure 😀. As always, thanks for watching.

    I was concerned about your flight. Aviation accidents are often the result of a chain of poor decisions. Raisins in cookies?!?!...good to see there was only one poor decision in this flight :) Enjoying your videos!!

    A great travelogue!!! Thanks for the details along the way. BTW...How come you always have smooth air???

      @@GeezerGeekPilot Glad to hear that. What was the average fuel cost across the country?

    • @GeezerGeekPilot
      @GeezerGeekPilot  Před rokem

      Jim, to be honest, I didn't really pay attention to fuel prices... I chose fuel stops based more on course and my stretch distance.

    • @jimtorley70
      @jimtorley70 Před rokem +1

      @@GeezerGeekPilot I see. Your DA-40 has really good range so your fuel stops weren't that many so your logic was sound. Where/when is your next trip? I enjoyed the ones to Mexico, Caribbean and Alaska and look forward to yet another voyage! AND raisin oatmeal cookies ARE THE BEST !!!!

      Jim, two weeks ago, along with 4 other planes I flew a FlyingDocs trip to the southern Baja... video in the works. I'll be flying my wife and greyhounds to Loreto Baja in Jan-2023... and hope to be doing another multi-week journey with Bill/Joe later in 2023. 🍪Raisin/oatmeal cookies double for breakfast on these trips.

    How'd you get the Santa Paula aerobatics box in there? Did you customize that yourself?

      Bryan, the doc below has the kml file and instructions for importing to ForeFlight. Let me know of any difficulties. BTW, I believe I got the coordinates from something Brian Schiff posted. docs.google.com/document/d/1AFyGISlLWYQuR3RlHJM4Y8601U7gV3Et_w33b5D2jEQ/edit?usp=sharing

      @@GeezerGeekPilot At first glance, I thought maybe that layer already existed somewhere in foreflight. Afterwards I started playing around with making a custom KML file and basically did the same thing! Pretty cool. Thx
