Can’t believe the switch is older than me
The Switch is honestly my fave console ever. Still play 90 percent of my games on it.
Waiting for a new console is like waiting to die. Don’t wait, live! Finish your back catalogue of games waiting to be played and finished, or go back and revisit those great games you spent countless hours enjoying. Don’t wait for the Switch to die, live!
Wow. In the seven years since I got my launch day switch, I've dated, got engaged, married, moved twice and had a kid.
The other day we were playing multiplayer Mario Kart with a Pro Controller, Super Nintendo Controller, N64 Controller and a Gamecube Adapter. This is the timeline we live in.
Man, time flies by so fast. I was also 14 when it came out, I had just turned 14. I remmeber the excitement around the switch and BotW was so big. One if my friends got the switch as soon as it came out and he would bring it to school and show us in the morning before going to class. I had to play BotW on Wii U because my parents couldn't find a switch for a my birthday present becauae it was sold out everywhere. I got it for Christmas 2017 with Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2. So weird how its been that long, it really doesn't feel like it. I'm 21 now. I still play the switch regularly. Can't wait for the next Nintendo console, it has to be around the corner
I still have my original Switch I got on release day in March 2017. I don’t use it much anymore as I recently upgraded it to the Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch. I only use my original Switch and my Switch Lite for Pokemon stuff. Happy Birthday, Nintendo Switch.
I owned a wii U. My brother used to make fun of me for buying one and loving it. I pre ordered a switch. He made fun of me called it the wii u 2.0 and that it would fail. After seeing me play BOTW for 5 mins then grab my console and continue playing as I went to my room, I saw the gears in his head turning. 2 days later he bought one. 😂
i was 13 when the switch released. Now im 20 and in college
Before I got the Switch, I watched gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey every night after come back home from work, I wanted to play that game so bad. When I got the Switch, that the first game I got, and that game made me feel like I'm being a kid again man, the joy that I had, everything, I hope I can realive the first time experience with that game.
The Switch was the first console I bought with my own money as a "real" adult. I still have the photo of me in my Mickey Mouse pajamas, holding the box and my copy of BOTW. I also remember how incredibly excited I was, literally counting the days before Mario Odyssey. I had it marked on my calender and constantly had "Jump Up Superstar" playing in the background when I was doing homework for university. I still play my now OLED Switch every day and was watching this very video on it, only pausing to leave this comment.
Can’t believe the switch is old enough to drive a car
One of my favorite memories of the Switch - in Jan of 2019 I took a team of 15u boys to the NFL Flag Football Championships at the Pro Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
I was 30 when the switch came out, and I preordered it it’s the only console I’ve ever had when it was 1st released, now waiting on the new switch and I will preorder it as well. Thank You Nintendo, I have NO other game console ONLY a switch.

I've had my since June 1st, 2021. 3 years old is how old my Nintendo Switch is. I'm 33 years old and I do enjoy playing my favorite games on it.

Great video on a legendary console! Switch is probably my favorite console of all time, it really helped me relive many titles I used to enjoy so much along with so many new titles. I made a video a couple years back when the switch Oled came out, on how to transfer save data. I still get messages all the time of people migrating to another Switch, seems crazy how many people are swaping consoles still 7 years later in the same platform.
Whatever happens with the next console, I'm thankful to the Switch for single-handedly making video games a thing I could still fit into my life. And my vanilla Switch from 2017 is still going strong, although now with cool Zelda joy-cons instead of the original gray. I'm hoping the next one is just like this, only more powerful and with backwards compatibility with the original. That's it. End of wish list.
