    It would be nice if Eastenders was on Netflix or available to purchase seasons.

    I don't know what has happened to EastEnders in the last few years, back here the storyline's were good and there was decent characters something which today's lack

      And the funny thing is there was a lot of unwarranted criticism directed at the show during this era (minus special weeks like this and the hottest parts of the Watts/Den. storyline/stuff like that) off the back of the Hutchinson drama behind the scenes and the general anti-gangster/Johnny Allen mantra the press had against the show at the time, which a substantial minority of people bought into.The audiences of 2005 had no idea at the time how good they had it.

    God jean was so horrible to stacey she was only a teenager at that time, i know jean was grieving but so was stacey and its jeans fault she was like that because she was refusing to take her medication

      Brian died in 1999. The only reason it featured so much in Jean’s head is because she was ill in the first place (and it was his death anniversary the day before). So she wasn’t really grieving. She was just ill.

      I’d allow Christmas Day 2005 if I were you. Kat and Alfie getting their happy ending (before it was ruined) is somewhere on this channel and that was the best bit. The rest of the episode was quite dry (they saved the hotter stuff for New Year’s Eve that particular festive period).

      @Anonymous_Anon882 Před rokem

      More like, ‘Jake had no intention of marrying Chrissie.’ I can’t remember what happened the week before (a lot of it was overshadowed by ‘Wellard’ and the Sonia/Naomi drivel) but that wedding ring (however he got it) was probably just an attempt to curry some sort of sympathetic favour with Chrissie after losing the bail money. He likely just didn’t want to walk in there completely empty-handed.

    Goes to show how good the actress' playing Stacey and Jean can be when given the best material. Stacey is unwatchable now...No fault of the actress what so ever but the character is vile.

    • @Anonymous_Anon882
      @Anonymous_Anon882 Před 2 lety +1

      Nah, Stacey’s still good. Jean, on the other hand, kind of does justice to the term “how the mighty have fallen.” But the actresses who play both characters have always been phenomenal and always will be.

      @Anonymous_Anon882 Před rokem +1

      She boarded up all her windows with cardboard and barricaded the front of the house with torn-up sofas, washing machines and trash bags. It’s safe to say she was ill enough to make misrepresentations about Stacey’s weight (it’s actually a common symptom).
