      Hi Ben, Is it possible to run a lead conversion event if we are using a download pop-up from Klaviyo? I can't find a way to link the pop-up on site to register as a lead in Ads manager. Thanks in advance !

    Thanks Ben. It's awesome. So easy to understand. It's just that, today, the appearance is quite different. When I click +create should I choose Conversions for Find Your Objective, and below it choose Leads for campaign objective?

      @@DougDtech okay... That's fine for you I guess. For me, the leads I get through lead forms are usually not as qualified as conversions even when my targeting is very specific.

    what would be a good example of a lead magnet for a DTC product? this works for service-based businesses, but will it for DTC?

    I'm curious, what type of click-through and opt-ins rates have you seen, on average, for yourself, and clients?

      Any CTR above 1% is pretty good. Opt in rates - I aim for 40%

    This is outdated now as when you go to select the Ad type, conversions is no longer available. When you select Leads, it brings up so many different options not covered on the video so I am not sure how to do this advert this way now

    Ben, quick question: it seems like when selecting Sales on the new ODAX menu (formerly Conversions), it won't let you select Lead as your conversion event. It only allows you to select Lead when you do a Leads Campaign.
    Are we good to go ahead and selected Leads instead of Sales for the Email List Campaign?

      Yes that’s right - you want to go with leads if you want leads

    Ben, thanks for this video! You mentioned it’s best to choose the default “Lead” conversion event. Just to confirm, if I use my own custom conversion event for optimization on an opt in, that will work just as well? Or does the “Lead” event have some special mojo?

      Hi. It will work exactly for what you optimize it for.
      You can use a custom conversion and name it LEAD GEN. This could be to track an event on a page like your thank you page and It still works very fine.
      The default events are to guide people especially beginners. Thanks

      Hi Chris, thanks a lot. You may actually see better results from optimizing for the Lead event. There is likely to be a small difference - nothing major. But Facebook has an idea of what a 'Lead' is and that can help inform optimization.
      I wouldn't change up a winning campaign to make this switch though. It's significant enough to warrant that.

    Thank you Ben for these videos again! You explain it all very nicely. However, I have a question about the time zones. If one ad is in 3 different time zones and running, wouldn`t it create differences with the stats (creating kind of competition within) or the way you put them (UK,CA,AU) is just flows with a great pace of time difference? Or there is no such thing and I was just confused? :D lol

    Ben, your videos are so informative. I have a question regarding the yellow error messaged under Conversion Event. I already have my FB Pixel set up so why would I still see the error message?

      If you haven't generated many conversion events recently then you will see that. When conversions start coming in, you should see that turn green.

      I'd have to say no now. With the restrictions brought in to curtail Messenger capabilities - email is my preferred option.

    I have some concern about the auto placement. Since some time on storie for example, it put the whole big primary text on top of the image etc...
    Also how can we know which platform work with autoplacement and IOS 14? ( I cant have good data knowing wich placement bring the lead now )
    Would you recommande auto placement too for the testing campaign on purchase event ?

      Hi Brice, I like to go with automatic placements if you are using the conversion objective because Facebook will only use the placements that are delivering the best results for you.
      After iOS 14 you can't see 100% accurate data. But you can still see relative performance. That allows you to adjust your campaigns.

    Hello Ben, I'm working for a Peruvian company that uses primarily WhatsApp for sales. They don't have an email list, but they do have a list of more than 6 thousand WhatsApp numbers instead. Do you recommend to create a custom audience based on that list?

    Hi Ben,
    I have a campaign running for 2 weeks now. It’s doing alright with Roas 2.3. However, the average ctr and cpc were 4.05 and $0.78 ( for the first 11 days). In the past 2 days, it dropped to 2.5 and$ 1.4. I’m still getting sales though. Is this fluctuation normal?

      Yes that sort of fluctuation is very normal. I'd give the campaign more time :)

    Don't you know that people coming to your video they don't actually have an email list, or this is their first time advertising on facebook, and you're talking about a lookalike audience?!
