I think the fact that there is that much content regarding tying shoelaces, something I never expected to think about after the age of 4, should give everyone confidence that out of 8 billion people there is an audiance for whatever you're into.

I think its important for beginners to understand that this video should be treated as a resource that you come back to over and over, implementing the advice given just one step at a time. Trying to do all of this all at the beginning might actually be a bad idea. Its better to pick some tips and then apply them in your business or blog and see how the results turn out. If that works then add to what you are doing. If it doesn't work then try a different approach. Its critically important to just keep doing rather than stopping and trying to overhaul the approach into this perfect system. There isn't a perfect system. What works for one person may not work for the next person.

Hey Tim, I want to add something you may have thought of. Before doing all this setup, anyone who is just starting a new business must test the business idea or prototype with others.
Outreach people and share the idea or prototype of a working product. If the response is good, then you should seriously consider building your business else, scrap it. You will save tons of time, money and resources.

Awesome video, internet is completely cluttered with content marketing tactics. But this one video is enough to make understand and execute things. One query. if i search a seed keyword for example " baby bath tub" , i get all product links which links to ecommerce websites in top 10 positions, but the KD is low, can i write blogs for this topic? will it look odd if my page is ranking for blog and others are ranking for actual product. Please share your point of you.

Pertaining to Lesson 9.3. Do you have a blog/video/advice on how to know which articles to publish for a guest post or publish on your own blog? For example, I have a great topic that I want to write about but don’t know whether I should pitch it to another blog or keep it for my blog.
It's a "it depends" case. It's up to you to decide and may depend on the topic, it's relevance to your blog and many other factors.

This video (which I think is republished) is a bit misleading when it speaks of blogging frequency.
TLDR: A higher blog content frequency with good content is better for multiple reasons.
Most might focus on frequency instead of content quality, so I get the point there.
But what’s misleading is suggesting people can post 2-3x a month and expect real growth.
The topics shown in the video are virtually impossible for any new or low growth blog to compete. That site shown most likely has a ton of authority to begin with (most likely from writing a lot of good content).
Usually those 2-3 articles are core/pillar/cornerstone articles and are in-depth enough to cover the topic fully - just to compete.
It’s more challenging if you’re not in a tight niche. You’ll typically target more specific topics to gain traction and that's different than a core/pillar/cornerstone topic.
"How to lose weight fast" is a HUGE topic and the competitiveness matches that as well - good luck competing on that.
If you have the capacity to write content you’re an expert on more frequently that’s better than the top 3 pages, then that should be your goal.
Bigger brands like Ahrefs and the site referenced have the capacity to lean on existing content, and if that’s you, then you’re probably not watching this video to begin with.
They also have the sustainability to weather dips and wait for returns over a smaller business that needs blog growth to continue running.
If you misfire on 2 of the 3 blog posts because of misaligned search intent or missing the downward trend, that’s very risky.
I'd also imagine Google will have a better understanding of what your brand is about if you're giving it a deeper level of content so it understands who you are topically and how much of an authority you are on those topics.
At the end of the day, it's all about helping your audience solve their problems. If you can do that better than everyone else consistently, you'll find growth.
Traffic isn’t a vanity metric, PPV, CPV etc…
Do you think blogging is a waste of time for businesses that provide local services? I might see high traffic, but a reader from another state won't turn into a customer. On the other hand, an educational blog could build trust and increase retention with traffic I currently see from local SEO. Is it a low payoff for a lot of work? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this.

Something I don’t understand really and maybe I missed it is the amount of backlinks it shows for a website when doing keyword research, is that the total backlinks to that website, or total backlinks to that specific page/url? Also, when you work on backlinks is it more important to get backlinks to all different pages on your website, or can they link to your home page? Thank you so much!

This is an awesome course. I have a platform question. I have heard that WordPress is the best platform for blogging because it helps with ranking, etc. However, if you own an eCommerce Business and want to leverage Blogging for Content Marketing (as shared in the video), then there are a lot of better options than WordPress/WooCommerce. For instance, Shopify is a great choice for eCommerce businesses. Does blogging on Shopify negatively impact SEO Ranking. Does blogging on Wordpress improve SEO Ranking?
It's hard to tell because we haven't examined Shopify this close.
