I saw architects live last year. My stepdad being in hospital at the time dying of bowelcancer. It was their firrst tour after Tom died. So The whole concert was very emotional and they held a speech and I was crying my eyes out the whole concert. It was amazing. I also saw the guy next to me crying as much as I did. One of the best concerts Ive ever been to.

If you want a REALLY emotional one then Architects - Gone With The Wind (Xcert Cover). Xcerts if I’m correct, were and are good friends with the band even though they are a pop band and Architects are metalcore. The lead singer and Tom often talked about music and life (the singer talked about it in the description) and was really devastated when he passed, like all of us were and are. They dedicated it to Tom and even got the blessing of the Searle family and the band to do it. It really really moved me when I first heard it. It amplifies the lyrics massively. Especially because I know cancer can be such a f*cking b*tch. It’s not me personally but someone that I love. They are fine now and have recovered but damn, it’s such a cruel disease. I think Tom’s type and my loved one’s were similar as well. F*ck cancer man. No person should ever have to go through that. Maybe you could start a new series with these type or genre of songs. You have the Monday Bleghs so maybe Sad Song Sundays? I don’t know haha. Thanks for a great reaction man and I hope you have a great day man.🤘🤘

Tom wrote this while dying of cancer. It's about struggling with doubt and nihilism, but the analogies to his disease in the song are unmistakable.
I like the blegh... It's just a, "I have no more words to describe what I want to describe" type of sound. Almost a "disgusted by" and helpless sound (in this case, disgusted that all our gods have abandoned us, and having fought so hard but still losing (emphasized by that clean vocals visual - that's a dejected, broken man's feelings)). 99% of bands would have put a "fuck" in there, or just a scream/bark...
Idk if he “invented” it, but he sure wasn’t the first person I ever heard do it... I’ve only really gotten into Architects the past couple years so whatever. But I’m with you brother, BLEGH is the way to go! God BLEGHS us all 😂

The first blegh I heard from Sam is the reason I kept listening.
I don't know if Sam Carter invented Blegh, but he definitely helped popularize it. Stray From The Path did bleghs in 2009. Bleghs are sick lol, I don't get his issue with it.
