Great short video to teach to my international students without getting into detail. However, it does leave out the sad truth that lies in the history of the settlers who brought in diseases and took over the land.
It also leaves out the colonization of Europe by organized religions, Judeo-Christianity and Islam (a third Abrahamic religion). They inflicted centuries of every evil known to man on these White indigenous peoples and they compelled them to explore the world and inflict the religious colonization on others ultimately ending in the collapse of Western Civilization right about - now, by leftist communists aka useful idiots of these capitalist colonists. I'm not sure as to how I feel about the military strength thing. I would want a bit more gentle of an explanation of the parade. I've always thought of the parade as a emphasis on largeness, playfulness, and individual appreciation of each person's contribution to our country. Military strength is one small facet of the parade in relation to the parade as a whole.
Thanksgiving is not associated with the military. That is not really a depiction I would want spread. I grew up in America and never say any military presence in any parade or festivity. THX is also about friends and family coming together.
