CONTROLLED BLEEDING "Body Samples" [Full Album] [2016 Reissue]

Expanded reissue of one of the earliest Controlled Bleeding LPs, originally released on Dossier in 1985 and reissued on Arttofact Records in 2016. Less harsh overall than the previous tape releases they had done up to this point, it features shorter tracks with a wide range of experimental sounds from the era including rhythmic metal percussion, ambiance and noisy post-punk explorations. The second disc contains a variety of previously unreleased material along with tracks which appeared on the original CD issue of this album in 1990.

YES !!!! About time this album was reissued and a new upload hasn’t made me so happy in ages. Maybe I’m biased because Paul Lemos is practically a next door neighbor of mine, but I think that, in the first big wave of industrial bands, none were as ambitious or adventurous or versatile or just plain old interesting as Controlled Bleeding. I’ve got all their albums on disc but am confined to a crummy little notebook at present and can’t do any other fans the favor of uploading them myself. I hope someone else out there can make up for my regrettable shortfall. Seeing this deluxe disc uploaded has made my day and shows the full range of what CB are capable of. For the record, they’re still around and better than ever.

Tell Paul that he, Joe Papa, and Chris Moriarty were (and still are) three of the most genius creators of music that ever lived... their ambient beauty of their later explorations along with their Dub phase are incredible, I've heard NOTHING like them to this day, my obsession with Controlled Bleeding is just as strong as ever. Incredible music.
What are you favourite albums? Some are so underrated... my personal favourites are:
Golgotha, which has such an interesting structure for an album (like a beautiful cake with horrors on the inside)
Our Journey's End, which got me into Controlled Bleeding. From the moment I heard 'Trang and I' I knew this was a band worth paying attention to. I never realised how deeply I would fall in love with them.
