Two things can be true at the same time. Gypsy did something wrong, but it's also true that her mother was a monster. In an ideal world, Gypsy would have stayed the innocent victim, and her mother would be in prison. But instead, both are victims, and both are guilty of crimes.
The two things that are true are that gypsy and her mom were both scam artists and when the scam was no longer serving her she killed her mom. They are both sick people who did horrible things and Gypsy should most definitely not be given attention. She is already proving over and over that she is an abusive user of whoever serves her needs at the moment.
I think if Gypsy had killed her mother herself she never would have spent a day in prison. It's the involvement of another person and his lengthy prison sentence that tarnished the image she wanted to present to the world.
you do have to admit a crime committed by a mother to their child is vastly more warped that the crime of said childs mostly understandable retaliation, murder inst ok but no matter how roundabout she went about it what she did was a form a self defense.

Gypsy's mother didn't raise her to be a functioning adult. If Gypsy's manipulative, it's because that's the behavior she saw in her mother and that's what she had to do to survive. I hope she finds a really good therapist who will help her and not want to make money off of her.
I love the way people talk about Dee Dee, as if she was alive and able to talk about her side. Or that the abuse was confirmed with actual proof and not the word of a known manipulative liar

She tried her other options. What else was she supposed to do? Keep in mind she was also being heavily drugged. You can't expect rational responses from an abuse victim or someone on drugs especially someone who's been consecutively drugged since childhood. Her mother was actively making it so she could not even physically walk and there was no one she could really contact without her mom's input. The murder was justified. She's not perfect and it's messed up to expect her to act in accordance to what your personal morality would expect an abuse victim to act like. That's not something you're likely to experience and thus we cannot judge her actions back then.

Pretty much all the details you shared in your comment are completely false. I urge you to look into the interrogation, the case logs and the court documents. The murder was not justified. That is why she plead guilty. That is why she served prison time. Because it was NOT self defense.
Her mother was not "actively making it so she could not even physically walk". If you look at the crime scene photos you can see gypsys wheelchair shoved into the corner of her room with tons of items and boxes on and surrounding it showing it had not been recently accessed.
Her mother hadn't taken her to the doctor in 7 years prior to the murder. Gyspy was 23 when the murder occurred ( its been confirmed and proven that gypsy knew her age by at the very least 19 years old, by her own admission.) I'm not saying Gypsy wasn't abused, I'm just pointing out the details from this case. The fact is, gypsy hadn't been to a doctor in almost a decade and was 23 years old, not a child, and knew her own age.
Dee Dee was sick, obese and actively using a wheelchair when the murder occurred. Not only that, but Gypsy was actually acting as DEEDEE's care taker, administering her insulin on a daily basis. The murder was plotted for a year or more. Gypsy participated in r*pe fantasy and murder fantasy in cosplay with a red wig for YEARS to seduce nick and convince him to kill her mom. Every time nick said they needed to find another way, GYPSY said it was the only way. Over and over.
Go look at the court documents. Stop spreading lies and making her seem so innocent when she LITERALLY PLEAD GUILTY and was PROVEN IN A COURT OF LAW to be a master manipulator and a LIAR!! What DeeDee did was wrong, but what Gyspy did was ALSO WRONG and shouldn't be overshadowed by internet fame!! Disgusting!!
Seing anything of Gypsy makes me so upset because of my own experience with abusive care-taker. I see her as someone who is widely inexperienced and should not be put in front of an audience. She does not know how to navigate this world properly, she hasnt had the opportunity to properly socialise and she needs to find her independence properly cuz right now she is relying on validation of other people.
💯 and she is DEFINITELY being taken advantage of because she brings in the numbers. So many are just out there watching the faulty train for when it’s gonna derail and create a disastrous spectacle. And she doesn’t know any better because she’s getting the attention that she has been brainwashed to need. It’s so tragic and messed up. The whole entire thing.
I'm reminded of Bedlam, the English mental hospital where people went to gawk and laugh at the patients. That's regarded now as horrific, but how is this any different? People are gawking and laughing at this girl and giving her shit, and she's obviously in a fragile state and has some issues she needs to heal. I don't see how social media is going to help with that.

But I also believe that she was driven to commit that crime by her mother. This is an all-around sad situation. She's a woman who lost her childhood/teenage days due to a horrible mother and a bad, bad decision based on trauma. The public is doing her a disservice by thrusting her into the spotlight. I think it was well intentioned at first because regardless of how people feel about the outcome, she was terribly abused by her mother and essentially kept in a cage. She went from one cage to another and she’s out so people want to see her thrive and try all these things she’s missed out on, but as a byproduct she’s not being given the space to grow and get well. People are excited for her but her becoming an influencer is probably one of the worst things for her.

Honestly this to me screams I need therapy. I feel like she hasn't fully comprehended everything emotionally and she's confused. I feel like she doesn't know how to process her feelings because .... I understand the pain her mother caused her and also. The pain of wanting to have a mother but never being able or ever able to have that.
I think people fail to *actually* keep in mind is that she was an abused child, she didn’t get to learn, mature or grow up properly due to her mother nor did the child care system do her any justice.
Of course now that she is grown she knows what she did was wrong, I don’t know why people shit on her so much when she IS growing and maturing the best of her abilities since she didn’t have the chance as a child. Everyone is always going to have something to say about her, but personally I hope she can recover and become truly, truly free from what happened and figure out who she is now that she has control over her own person. But I truly hope she will be at peace with herself and grow.

The issue here is Rose never had a Chance at a real childhood or having the love of real parents. She never knew freedom and never got positive attention. Them when she had the chance she was freed and then again, in prison, she lost freedom and positive attention. Now she is out and getting all this attention. I am sure her child self is so excited and loves it. She is deprived of real love and doesn't know what is appropriate and what is not.
She needs to be surrounded by people who care about her and not just what they can get from her. Social media is toxic and evil. She doesn't need to be on it. Unless she has one that she posts a picture on every so often but that is that. It is tragic... She wants love but this isn't the way. She needs Therapy and someone to tell her that she needs to just find another route and live life the best she can .

She was raised to feel no privacy and true sense of independence and then sent to prison. She's never once been in charge of herself. So of course she's going to be acting this way without a good aftercare plan when she left prison. Shes falling back on negative familiarity while also seeking extremes because shes never had that type of attention before, like needing caretakers and these boyfriends/husbands imediatly leaving prison, needing to be the center of attention on social media from all these people even if they don't have her best interest. She needed to be more regulated when adjusting to society, to ease in and learn and socialize more rather than just going out as a celebrity in the spotlight. Its like giving an imature middle schooler full independance over themselves with no life experience and expecting them to make good choices.

I was a Munchhausen by proxy kid… Give her some grace. She’s going to be weird and say stupid things. Mix her traumatic life, being mentally stunted because of cPTSD, all with the pressures of social media?? Of course it’s going to be cringe. Imagine being tortured by the one person who was meant to protect you. Give her grace. She did what she had to do to survive. Her childhood didn’t exist like a normal persons childhood. Her medical files have been released to recently. She grossly exaggerated a lot of things and I had to do for my criminology course. She lied so many times during current interrogation messages between her and Nick and inconsistencies in her book. As well as her trial and the documentary, she has been inconsistent and lied multiple occasions. There is a lot of stuff people don’t know about because they’re just taking gypsy‘s word for it or watching the act on Hulu. I’m encouraging everyone do your research and just look at the FACTS.
People are forgetting that chief manipulated lied and gaslit a man who is on the spectrum with a low IQ into doing her dirty work when she could’ve just left with him and there’s evidence back up that. she could’ve just left even gypsy herself, said that her mother told her she could leave her. Also, she planned her mother‘s demise for three years! It’s not right that she destroyed not only this man’s life but his family’s life because his mother oh deed over grief of what happened to her son. His younger brother no longer has a mother and his stepfather no longer has a wife.
Also, DD was never diagnosed with Munchhausen by proxy. The person has to be alive in order to make that full diagnosis. The media took that he ran with it and once the lawyer saw it, he’s zoomed into that for gypsies defense,
However, DD was a big con artist and someone who committed a lot of fraud but was she really the abuser that gypsy has betrayed? I don’t think so. Gypsy has already lied about the cancer treatments. She has lied about when she found out. She didn’t have cancer. It was way before. DD was m*rdered she did went along with it after a while. She was getting a lot of free stuff. She was going on multiple vacations going to all these cool events meeting all these celebrities so she knew she wasn’t sick at some point and she also knows she has a chromosome disorder which explains the eye surgery the salary gland surgery even the feeding tube.
So everyone, please look at the fact of this case and take personal emotions out of it. I get it. I thought she was a victim at first before I had to do this deep dive.
Gypsy and stepmom and her supporters are trying to stop people advocating for Nick . people just wanted an appeal for him to get a fair trial because none of the messages represented in court, which proves , the amount of manipulation she used his mental capacity wasn’t considered as well. that’s why gypsy doesn’t want to get an appeal or have anyone listened to his side of the story
And if you look at both interrogation between gypsy and Nick, you see completely two different people one who’s on the spectrum and tells the truth automatically because people on the spectrum have a difficult time lying. and someone very conniving manipulative lying over and over and over again to get her way.
She helped cause a murder ! No empathy for this useless person an no free pass given.

While I understand most people’s preference of her to just lay low and live quietly, it’s kind of impossible. She literally has a Netflix drama of her story. No one will ever not know her. How will she be able to survive if she can’t keep a job? This is really the only way she could really make money. She can’t go to college or she’ll be the talk of every class, so she can’t get a higher paying job. She can’t work retail or minimum wage jobs because she’d be surrounded by people and never get any work done. Even outside of prison she probably feels like she’s still trapped. I get that what she did was wrong but she really doesn’t have a lot of choices.
And this is all she knows. Her mom raised her to be in the public eye and get money that way. It’s very sad.

People get out of jail every single day. I feel bad because she was abused nearly all her life however she still participated in a crime and manipulated someone else to help her. He’s doing life rn. The worst thing everyone did for this girl was give her a negative and glorifying space of the internet. Idky we are in a space where we glorify criminals. She is a survivor but she’s also a criminal at the end of the day. She should be even luckily she gets a second chance, she genuinely needs privacy, therapy and the time to grow, heal, and live a normal life.

Somthing i never understood about her is that after she got out, instead of healing, and processing everything that really happened to her. All the abuse and lies. And killing her mother. Instead she went onto social media. Now the media is part of the problem, they did have news articles about her before she was even released. But the rest is all her. I feel like she milking the fame right now. Im not implying shes a terrible person or that shes proud of killing her mother. But i know if i had gone through what she had gone through, and just getting out if prison after 8 years. I would want to live a peaceful life. As peacful as i can get it
And considering how inexperienced she is with the world now, its scary to think what could happen to her now. People could end up using her, or she could put herself into controversy.
No one has any idea what they would do in her shoes. We like to think we do, but we dont. People need to leave her alone and hopefully she is healing with proper therapy. No one has a right to judge her. The truth is, sanity is fragile.

Everyone knows who she is, millions of people have seen her story, so it's obviously no secret of what happened to her. The last thing I want is for something to happen to her. And I do know that if I was in her position, and my face was plastered in every news article I would def not go in social media and plaster my face around there some more. Just my opinion. 🤷🏽♀️I do hope she gets the help she needs after the trauma. I'm just scared for her. There is a part of me that wants to see Gypsy heal. What she went through was trauma. Being manipulated and well tortured can be very damaging, especially during her childhood.
But at the same time, Gypsy did commit to planning to murder her mother. She manipulates a man to murder her mother. As a result, she served her time in prison. I think she should go to therapy and live a private life.
She still planned and had someone murder her mother, and although the mother is also terrible, I can not feel comfortable celebrating Gypsy because both parties are close to the same. I get people can change and grow to become better. It’s just bizarre knowing what happened. It is not your normal oops. I've made a mistake incident. If she did change, good for her, but it still happened. Fame is the last thing she needs.

Look into the case more before making statements like this. Nick raped Gypsy because he said he would do it to her dead mom if she didn't let him do it to her. Also, he has multiple other crimes previously before meeting Gypsy for example having his hands down his pants in a McDonalds with kids around.
