I admit - I sometimes watch Inside without watching the game before, and yeah, it's often better than most games.
It's the best sports show there is. Great chemistry, humor, skits and bits, insights, interesting interviews and varying opinions. It hasn't lost a step after all these years either.
I think that’s pretty normal. The nba is not very entertaining anymore.

If Kenny ever reads this. North Carolina had D103 fm out of Fayetteville. The station sat by a swamp on hwy 301. It rocked the house and brought in hip hop guest on air like Special Ed. We was country but D103 was "dope"! Big UNC fan since 1981. Oh yeah got to talk with Matt Doherty at his home while doing some work there, a few years ago. So cool, I thought it was the greatest day ever

Newer/ younger Inside the NBA fans don't care for Kenny but real ones know of his impact on the show.
Kenny makes the show for me and many real ones. Without him I don't watch it.
I think that's because they haven't seen some of the older stuff.
As a newer fan I think he's extremely underrated. He's instigated some of the best moments on that show!

Great interview!
People low key make fun about Kenny a lot of times, but dude is actually a super successful chill guy. Giving decent basketball analysis and running a 'late night' NBA show. People act like he's a nobody cause Shaq and Chuck are legends. Regular folks acting like they could do what Kenny did. He is still a two-time champion and played in a tough era in the NBA, he ain't a regular dude.
My all-time favorite UNC player. We graduated the same year. I lost track of my mom for half a second - she had found Kenny Smith, hugged his neck and best I recall, called him "Sugar". I was mortified, but he couldn't have been sweeter. He's always been The Carolina Way.🩵
