Ive recently brought the night cat lay flat hammock and use a cheap air mat with pillow. Best nights sleep out of any previous tents or hammocks imho. I love it
I used my one of these with underquilt for them first time ever last night in the woods in torrential rain. Not a single droplet got in and the underquilt made a major difference!! The best way to set these up is rigid that way you get a more level sleeping platform and the outer does not sag onto the inner. 100% recommend it,!!
True especially when you have a lot of rain. My gear performed well last night in the wind and rain as it got quite stormy last night into the morning.
I don't know your problem as I have used it alot and I had no problem with wind and rain .As far as to be low to the ground if you took your time to put it up I am sure you would have that problem. I would like a pocket at the other side. As long as it keeps you dry .
It just don't work for me and my style of camping. Some good ideas but it needs to be bigger and no storage? Not practical for the UK climate. I have many hammocks and this, although it works would be at the bottom of my list. I can go bigger, lighter and more shelter for less money.
You didnt put it up right, it needs to be much higher and a whole lot tighter. I have one and love it, sure you would too if you took the time to do it right.
@@frogmaster83 Same here. I don't own any of their products but saw their bridge hammock on a few CZcamsrs channels and it looks like it might work fairly well. That rater funky leaf camo looks like it would make a decent ground tent in Autumn - for those of us who like to keep a low profile. The only bridge style hammock I own is the Russian Hammock Tent, which is now pretty good now I've sorted the leaking issues.
if anyone interested in a OneTigris Sailaway one man bivi tarptent thingy let me know .. :) nitecat looks like a chukle has he modded it t stop canopy sagging?
Hmmm, i haven't heard of these being so droopy before. Maybe its more of a gimmick hammock for campers that already have everything. For the price of those things you cud easily get yourself a decent 3x3 tarp and netted hammock.
I’ve got one…if it’s droopy as you say then you’ve not got it set up right it has to be rigid at 1.5 m off the ground. Used mine in a storm last night and it never leaked one drop!!

Not tried the lay flat one, but they do have some good ideas as a company. This Mk1 just didn't work for me when I used it overnight.

I am in Irish weather and no problem with rain and I have a trap up tonight so I go out in the night. I agree with you about the storage.
I think a tarp is a must.
Please, follow the instructions carefully and you will have no troubles. It‘s not the same as any normal hammock.
We had a settee in the seventies that was that pattern. Great vid JB.
Very nice! 😂
Ralph is a very pleasant and above all objective guy
Very true. 👍
Works better when trees are closer. I aim for 3.5-4m. Been out in decent rain and didn’t get wet. I wouldn’t go back to a normal hammock so boring.
Love Jim's voice
Only one I have. 😁
Think I will stick with my Haven XL😊
Valid points
Propper test this weekend.
I’m not going for it but it seems better than the french f2 , beware that tent could kill ! Best wishes .
We will see after the weekend.
My first impression is that it looks very boxy. A little like a bivvy floating in the air, with no out of the weather space if that makes sense. :)
Yep, that one of my thoughts.
What about the "Lay Flat" option? What made you prefer this one?
Not tried the lay flat one, this one was only lent to me for testing.
THanks for the very quick reply!@@frogmaster83
Yeah, most of their stuff Ive seen has been more Goodbye Kitty than Hello. And why bother with camo then put a sizable white logo on it 🤷♂️
I agree, its all about promotion.

Looks like a Monorail. I do admire the white logo emblazoned onto the camo!, very edgy. As long as you kip well mate it matters not.
I have a few reservations, we will see at the weekend.

Is there a ridge line inside hammock? It's not cheap horded Logo.
Not sure mate but I do know the is 2 versions of this hammock. I think this is the mk1
I prefer the look of the newer Night Cst Flat Lay Hammock to be honest. Costs more but when the price eventually comes down it could be worth a punt.
I know nothing about them, that's why I can say what I think.

Outdoor Gear Essentials has them for £150 which is a good deal at the mo
Nice viddy , it’s a compromise but all in one system it’s not bad , the new flat lay is gonna be the one 👍
Why complicate things!
I think I'll stick with my DD camping hammock and 3x3.
Cheers Al
I agree mate.

might be my setup is the problem, we will see at the weekend when I have a bit more time.
looks like the trees are to far apart that's why your getting so much sag i think
nope they were quite close, its a spot I have used many times with other hammocks.
Yeah definitely not sold
I am thinking the same at the moment.

Yep, better options out there in my opinion.

@@soldier-Dave glad its works for you. I just don't see the advantage over a normal hammock and a decent tarp. 🤔🤔
Not a fan of that to be honest
Nor am I going by 1st impressions.
To much faff
Yep.
You didnt set it up correctly
