Dr. Grundy, we have vinegar made from sugarcane, vinegar made from coconut water, We always cook fish with Vinegar and marinate some meat & other foods with vinegar. But if you add vinegar in what you are cooking don't mix it until it boils because the taste of the food is not so good, but when you let the vinegar boil first in the food the taste is nicer. That is how to use vinegar in cooking. In my country before, we always use vinegar and we are healthy, we even use the fat of pork and beef for sautéing and frying and we are not getting sick, because it's not oxidizing. Even eggs, we ferment them - like duck eggs put in salty water for several days and after a few weeks boil it and it salted eggs. In my country, we put it in a clay pot and buried it in the soil.....You can also ferment raw green grated papaya and grated daikon by adding vinegar.. it's so yummy too and we call it atchara for the grated green papaya, as a side dish for meat and fish also the daikon so good.. Now you are Cardiologist, Nutrionist, And Chef....Dr. Grundy, I salute you .....thank you for all the info ...God send you to us...we are lucky.

Best is apple vinegar. And use glass, not plastic bottle, if you do not want to confuse your hormone system.

Sure! Put about an inch or two of raisins in the bottom of a mason jar. Fill up the jar with filtered or spring water. Tap water can be chlorinated, which can disrupt the process. Cover the jar with a cloth and rubber band (it needs to breathe). Stir it daily to help get more oxygen in the mix of things. The bacteria needs oxygen to make vinegar. After about a month strain the raisins out of the liquid and then recover with a rubber band and cloth. Let it sit for another month or two. A mother of vinegar will most likely form at the top. It looks like the scoby that forms when you make kombucha. You’ll know it’s ready when it smells like good vinegar and the PH level is below 4. You can buy those PH strips online to test this. The raisin vinegar looks and smells a lot like balsamic vinegar, and it will have the Mother in it. Some of my other favorites are making vinegar with cranberries, cherries, and lemons. But you can make vinegar with just about anything, from flowers to scraps. Enjoy!!

Ou I just want to add if someone has stomach pain when drinking a tad of vinegar, it probably means either stomach ulcer or leaky gut, if you have hole in the gut I believe that's what it's called maybe the vinegar will hurt you a bit, notice how when you eat food and then have the vinegar test to see if you still have the pain? What do you guys think? Heal the gut wall preferably before taking the vinegar, I noticed I sometimes get pain and other days I don't on an empty stomach, when I have something to eat vinegar doesn't hurt anymore. My guess is the food is creating a barrier on the leaky gut area preventing the vingar from hurting me, but this is all just speculation I'm not a gut expert.

How is vinegar not breaking a fast? It stimulates the stomach to produce acid. Am I getting something wrong here?

I love putting a flavoured balsamic vinegar (love the Chocolate from Evoolution) into sparkling water too. Fabulous

I love vinegar, Dr. Gundry, but when I drank that balsamic-mineral water concoction you invented, when I drink that I get terrible acid reflux! Why is that happening?!! It pisses me off.
