    Here a year later and I’m still getting chills watching this. I remember sitting at a table at the local bar and grill with my father and getting the notification on my phone and then looking up at the tv and seeing Newcastle on nearly every tv and trying not to shout in happiness. It made me proud to be a Newcastle supporter as an American.

    As a Chelsea fan, this is a great day for the people of Tyneside and all those associated with Newcastle United Football Club!!! After nearly 15 years of misery under Ashley, it's a new era for one of the North East of England's iconic football club.
    Onwards and upwards for Newcastle and their fans!!!
    In less than 5 years time, they will definitely be the next Premier League champions. Too much emphasis has been focused on the North West of England (mainly Manchester) and London.

All the decisions are made in the USA and it's run as though it is an American football club - happy to be average, as long as there are sales in brand merchandising, and majority shareholder can use the club for collateral for US investments. Man Utd had the same problem with the Glaziers. The majority of the Arsenal fanbase want Kolcheny out.

    If Newcastle are smart, they will spend the first few years using the money to first renovate the stadium and club facilities, as well as improve the city of Newcastle. Then they should focus on bringing in a new management team from general manager to sporting director to head coach to a new coaching staff along with improvements to the academy. Then in 7-8 years, when the club's facilities and management are world class and the city is refurbished, they can easily attract top stars

    I've supported Newcastle since 2006. Since then i've seen 1 good FA Cup run, 2 relegations, only 3 top 10 finishes and 11 managers plus 0 ambition. I'm just glad I can watch a club reward the fans for once. Also why is the salty ones here literally only Arsenal and Spurs? Literally had so many liverpool and city fans say congrats its just arsenal ones complaining

    Shearer, Ferdinand, Ginola and all the other greats that have played in the Black and White stripes of this club will be very happy. Justice finally been has been achieved for this club after this long running saga , now they have a lot of work to do to get back into both competing at home and perhaps in Europe in a couple of years time or so, plus to regenerate the city as well.
