My Scatpack was litterally stolen 2 days ago, I used a Samsung Smart Tag, similar to the Apple Airtag! Some guy drove it 20 miles away and parked it in front of where he lives, I was able to track it and recovered it with the cops.

When you tap the top of your iPhone to an AirTag (the white part) that will always show up, if there’s an unknown AirTag it will show up as a notification from the find my app
