When I got divorced and lost my job and my home, I went out and bought a 12 gauge shotgun for one purpose. There was something not letting me pull the trigger. I'm so thankful I'm still here. I now have a great wife and family with a beautiful 2 year old baby girl. No matter how much pain you're in, things will get better. Believe it

Those who struggle with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, etc. I’m living proof that it gets better no matter how down you are. I pray for each and every one of you to find the strength inside to fight another day! Spread love!!
Big respect to you Gabe for speaking out about depression and what it can lead to. Admitting you've dealt with it yourself shows a lot of integrity. Sorry for your loss. On the flipside, you've inspired many others to tell their story and never give up.
I'm a combat vet and my family and I are going through a stressful time in life at the moment. I didn't know I was going to be getting a wake up call. Love your videos Gabe and sorry about your friend. Keep it up. And Thank you brother

@@BluegabeArrington Its hard to understand everything up to that point that made him take that action. I hope/pray that anyone at that point will make a call, go for a walk or hug somebody they love. Time goes fast and life is a short gift. Sorry for your loss. Glad to see somebody with a platform expressing values. I think we need a little more of that. That’s why I follow you and I’m sure your fans will echo that.

In 2008 I lost my younger brother, he was my best friend. And then on December 27th, 2009, my mother passes away and between my brother and mother I wanted so badly to take my life but I honestly couldn't because I have 3 grandchildren who need me. I'm thankful that I haven't taken my life cause I'm not depressed anymore and life is much better now. Thank you, Blue Gabe, for shining your light on us, peace, love ❤️ , and much respect to you, your children and family.
What fantastic advice to those suffering with depression. Absolutely true words, don't be selfish and take the easy way out leaving loved ones behind to pick up the pieces. Love this video, spending time with your boys 👍
For those suffering with depression. Always remember somebody loves ya. No matter what you mean something to somebody. Taking your own life is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Mental health is a hidden illness in the look of a person. Everyone needs to be gentle with themselves and understanding with others. Love heals all. Thank you for discussing suicide there are so many ppl who refuse to talk about it .. My sons dad took his life as well and it doesn't effect them it effects everyone around them.

Nothing in this world like fishing with your boys, recently I took one of my sons fishing and he is 25 now, we had the time of our lives!!! Nothing can compare!!!!!!
Gabe you and Kelly are awesome .my husband and I like all your videos and roberts as well. I haven't fished or hunt since my husband has major health issues . He has had 3 heart attacks and now they say he has dementia . Your videos keep him smiling . God bless and stay safe

I worked a lot when my boys were young and I missed out on lots of things they did. But my goal in life was to be there hero no matter what, and I think that is your goal. Don't lose sight of it. I miss my daughters being that age Gabe. They are 19 and 16 now and I'll tell you now that your boys will be there in a blink of an eye. My 19yr old daughter is serving in the Army in Washington state and my 16yr old daughter will be off to college in less than 2 years. Nothing in this world is more important than family and the reason I like watching you and Rob so much is the way it reminds me of me and my family as the girls were growing up. Thanks for sharing.

Im sorry for your loss i've battled depression for 5 years now I have had many suicide attempts it kinda irritates me when people are like go do something you enjoy because it isn't until your in that state and your that low that you realise the things you used to love dont make you happy no more and every day is a struggle I remember there would be times that I physically couldn't move from bed because I had no motivation to do anything what so ever I've also had help multiple times but I found it never helped because I always felt some what ok when I went to the therapy sessions I'm not hating or trying to cause any arguements as I know it is a highly sensitive subject but a lot of people are like oh you need help or oh you'll get over it and it's not until your in that situation where you have no motivation to move out of bed or do anything that people realise just how bad it can be. Once again not trying to cause any arguements or cause anyone pain I just wanted to share my point of view after battling depression for 5 years once again I'm sorry for your loss and I'm sorry to anyone who may have lost people.
I always admire Bluegabe, Kelly and Robert aka Deer Meat For Dinner. They are really good, grounded people. Keep up creating good content, inspiring videos! And to Luke and Jake, you are amazing, good kids, know that!

Bluegabe - my compliments on just about everything. I was introduced to you by Deermeat right when you started. You have really progressed a lot, you work very hard, you are savy enough for manufacturers and others to trust and invest in - and most of all - Kelly Young approves of you. In fact, I THINK she likes you. How great that is. Your two boys and Kelly show further proof that you are worthy of Deermeat's adoration. I remember in one video, one of you mentioned how much Sarah Arrington relies/can rellie on Gabe,touching. Sarah and Kelly should shoot some videos. Anyway, guys, I watch on ROKU. Not much chance to comment, I'm subscribed to all 4 channels but I don't comment and it kills me cause I feel so close to all of yall and want to help. Gabe - please teach those boys good grammar, they will be judged on how well spoken they are when they grow up - and, they are beautiful boys.

I work at the hospital at UFHEALTH Gainesville, and mental health is so important and very real! I encourage anyone feeling down to talk with someone because keeping your feelings bottled up only brings out the worse for you and everyone you love! Great video!

I love you guys, I grew up in MS. We were all about the outdoors. I was active in Scouting...I'm an Eagle scout. That means nothing to alot of people...but, it ain't easy. Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, canoeing, Cycling, and swimming...that was our world!!! Sadly, I am not physically able to do much of that anymore. I have watched Robert for years, and I have watched you from your very first video. Now I watch Kelly as well...You guys are a perfect couple...cut from the same cloth! Don't let her get away...she's a keeper!!! Keep those videos coming....I love them all!!!

Anyone going through depression, please remember, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. Surround yourself with good positive trustworthy people and please talk to someone. Don’t carry the weight of the negativity with you secretly everyday. One day when you least expect it life will get better and easier.

Watching your video with the boys at the end and I think it was one of Robert’s vids where he was fishing with the kids and yalls momma reminds me of my Grandmother who did the same things with me as a kid. Unfortunately she passed on the 22nd at 1150pm. She raised me since I was 3 wks old. We were lucky to live in East TN around all kinda of fishing. Sitting at her works lake lot fishing with worms for blue gill and bass off the dock just like your boys. Thank you for what you do.

It’s crazy how I have been born and raised in Louisiana and do what you came to Louisiana to do constantly and enjoy it. But my dream has always been to go to Florida and go fishing in Jupiter ever since I’ve started watching you and deer meats channels years ago.
That’s the best thing ever watching kids enjoy a basics outside fun. I’m from Louisiana and all my kids did it and love it to this day. They will never forget it. 😁👍👍👍
I have struggled with crippling anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts since i was 10... it got to the point i almost did it in 2017 when my kids dad faked my 3 kids deaths. for 5 months i lived soulless and empty. it took my oldest turning 18 to find out what had happened... that was also when i found Rob and Sarah and a few other channels. everyday is a battle. somedays better. somedays worse... but for now i see the next day.

Definitely agree " seek assistance for mental health, you are not in it alone"!!! More people care about you than you know!! We are willing to help!! We just need to know you are in crisis! Please ask for help if you need it, there is no shame!!! Everyone needs help with something at some time!!

Ive ben fighting depression since i was 16 and yours and arms family homestead channels have helped but they haven't cureded me ! I wanna say thank you for bringing that to light !

These Florida scenes bring back memories of my childhood. That was 70 years ago, and now I live in the Arkansas Ozarks. I remember that brown inland water, and exactly how it smelled. I wish I could go back and spend my final days there. I love the sights, sounds, and smells of the Florida coastal waters.
