How to Cook the Classic Indoor Steak | T-fal OptiGrill
    ____________________________
Ereka: Hello and welcome. Today we're going to introduce you to a revolutionary new grilling technology. This is the T-fal OptiGrill, and it's going to change the way you think about grilling forever. Am I right, Chef?
Tim: That's exactly right. No more under cooking, no more overcooking, and no more worrying about how long it will take for any of your meets to be done which is really kind of a crazy thought. Be prepared to be amazed by perfect results every single time on the T-fal OptiGrill. Now, right here I've got three New York strips, beautiful, my favorite cut of meat.
    Ereka: Gorgeous.
Tim: We're going to season these and put them on the grill.
    Ereka: Okay.
Tim: So the first one for you I'm not going to add any oil or anything. I'll let you do the salt and pepper on this one, and I'll do the rub on the other one, how about that? Then straight onto the OptiGrill.
    Ereka: How's that?
Tim:That's great. Okay, if you'll lift the lid up, I'll put the steaks on for us.
    Ereka: Beautiful.
Tim: The OptiGrill's been preheated. All we do is just turn it on and hit the steak button and hit OK.
    Ereka: That's the easiest thing.
Tim: Pretty simple. First one, there's yours, no oil.
    Ereka: Beautiful.
Tim: Here's mine, salt and pepper, a little bit of peanut oil. And then the last one of course a little bit of peanut oil and the rub. Put the lid down. We're ready to rock.
Ereka: Done, we're ready to go. That's it. And really steak is just the beginning because the T-fal OptiGrill has six different preset cooking programs. You can select from burgers, poultry, sandwiches, sausage and pork, red meat, fish and seafood. It does it all, and in every case, you're going to get perfect grilling results every time, every time.
Tim: So now, that's a green light which means we're going to get ready because when it turns yellow, you want to make sure you pull it off right at yellow, that's the perfect rare.

It needs an option where you can save your favourite (coulour) setting and next time you cook just press you saved option and cook

You need to rest your meat for about 5 minutes. It continues to cook. We have one and it tends to overcook if you cook it to medium. Cook to rare and it will cook to medium after it rests.

Inside perfect, but far too bright on the outside. The roasted aromas are missing.

Just bought mine. Can't wait to use it. I'm not a big meat eater but when I do eat it I like it burnt or charred. No pink. That's just how I like it. But the problem with that is that it gets dry if you do it yourself at home. This machine solves that problem. I can have juicy meat but cooked through. And my husband can have his bloody eww I can't swallow uncooked meat. Makes me gag. Can't wait to play around with this grill. ❤️

I agree. I like my meat well cooked. But not, eeww, chared.
You don't have to stand over it and guess. It tells you.

you have to make sure the steaks or chicken is the same thickness to accomplish this.

I believe it has something to do with the air space between the plates.

I overcooked 6 steaks. Finally called customer service and my steaks were too thick. You can only put a 1.5" steak on it or it throws the sensors off. She said it says it under Tips in the manual. I WOULD NOT BUY THIS HAD I KNOWN THAT.

    • @southwestsearch
      @southwestsearch Před 3 lety +2

You eat steaks over 1.5 inches thick?
Actually, I found that out when I cooked chicken legs.
They didn't look that thick but, yes, thickness makes a difference.
So, smaller pieces. Not been disappointed since.

That's not a rare steak. That shit looks raw. Cook steak to medium for best of both world. Nice grill mark on the outside, and warm and juicy inside

PaulTurbo haven't used mine since my first one broke and they sent me a new one. New one took 2 months to receive. The grill marks ruin any meat you cook. Taste terrible and if you cook chicken or fish it turns out rubbery

I thinking of buying it for cooking chicken breasts and steak mostly. If the chicken is rubbery I might as well just stick with the old cast iron skillet.

PaulTurbo cooked chicken tenders last night. Very good not rubbery. Love this grill. Makes great sandwiches too. Can’t wait to do fish.
