who has $110k for any vehicle let alone an EV that looses 50% depreciation in 7 months
💯!!
So… better to buy a gas car for $110k that losses 50% depreciation in 7 months? 😂
@@camreed6832 true. Either way you get hit with the loss
@@camreed6832 didn’t say that. But EVs are taking the MUCH greater hit on value right now compared to ICE cars. Just read the news that’s not hyperbole geez - just widely known facts. If you buy a $110k EV and $110k ICE car right now and pay sticker for both the EV will VERY LIKELY be worth FAR LESS in three years than the ICE. Just follow the news . . .
@@GuysTalkingCars yes, the MSM that is being controlled by the oil executives 🤦🏼♂️. I bought an ACURA MDX for 78k and sold it 4 years later for 32k. That car lost me almost as much as the total cost of my Tesla model y performance. Are you saying I’ll lose more than the total cost of the Tesla in 4 years?
Most hilarious thing: video plays, immediately followed by commercial for Cadillac Lyriq. 😂😂😂
LOL!! That’s hilarious!!! 😂
Insurance and battery replacement cost killed the ev market. We had a Mercedes Benz EV in the shop. With a bad battery, after warranty, just the battery alone without labor was 22 thousand dollars to replace. The care was only 4 years old with 32 thousand miles.
Yeah that’s a problem for sure
Bingo - that’s a MAJOR issue
I've said this before but EV's should start well under $20k and for a top end they should cap out in the 50s. They're freaking remote control cars. Way less parts and way cheaper. My guess would be the prices are so high due to the R&D. These car companies are just plain stupid for going al in on this crap. They deserve what they are getting right now.
💯!!!! These are disposable vehicles!! Meant to be driven until the battery capacity drops and then disposed of. No one is collecting these, passing them down to their family, or “restoring” them. These are meant to be driven and trashed. So spending 6 figures is insane!
@@GuysTalkingCars true.. when the battery capacity drops in 300-500k miles, time to dispose of and get a new one. Just like your ICE car that costs just as much and only lasts 200-300k miles.
Inexpensive EV's violates the justice of socialism. The car should be almost inaccessible to people who do not work in the Ministry of Truth..
The problem is that they’re not going all in but actually they’re just half assing it and making a shitty EV on a gas platform. They need to make it from the ground up
No one is EVER going to buy those EVs. The question is, who is going to eat them - the dealers or the manufacturer? Or maybe the insurance company. I would cancel those policies quick !!! And there are acres and acres of Chinese EVs standing around ports in Europe.
💯 well said!
This video is ridiculous. Cars are always parked outside… doesn’t mean they are “baking”. Non EVs are also all parked outside in the sun. I can go to the local ford dealership and see all the 2 year old f-150s that have been “baking in the sun” and “rotting” for 2 years.
Yes they are - have you seen the reports of days supply?? Sorry but 2023 and 2024 cars sitting long enough to have bleached tires and faded dash’s, bird 💩 all over the paint and $100k plus sticker ARE BY WAY OF FACT baking in the sun - unwanted and unsold. The 2025 models are starting to drop and here they sit.
@@GuysTalkingCars again… just like ICE cars. My local ford dealership still has 2022 f-150s while the 2025s are dropping. Weird how you make it like it’s an EV issue when the reality is, it is a new vehicle issue. Not just EV. Inflation and the current economy made it that more people can’t afford new cars.
I’m with camreed on this one. This video is kinda stupid since all kinds of cars gas/electric are sitting in the lots not being sold. And those prices are 100k+ are top of the line Mercedes not Kia of something less expensive.
Trust me, this is coming from a gas lover with a corvette and a track Camaro sitting in my garage. I don’t like electric cars, but this is not truthful information.
@@camreed6832agreed, these guys make it seem like it's only evs when the local dodge dealer has tons of challengers and chargers still left over from 2023.
Video title, intro LOL.
🤣🤣
@@GuysTalkingCars Baking in the sun Lol
Dealers are saving on security cameras cause no one wants to steal them
You’re probably right!!
$116K for a POS no one wants! ICE ICE baby lol.
💯
A scary look at a real life problem in the car market. Hope we aren't facing an economic crash. Thanks for your time and efforts
less than a mile from me here in MA there is a lot with at least a couple of hundred teslas sitting there collecting dirt.
Wow 😮!! Are they brand new?
The Federal government knows whats best for us… cmon guys.
🤣🤣🤣
were they this ugly from the factory or have they melted into these blobs because of the sun?
😂😂😂
Talk to me about your EV when: The battery will provide 400+ miles of range every time, no matter what the weather or my driving style. Can recharge in the same amount of time it takes to fill a tank and when it costs same as my 2015 ICE car. Until then, pound sand.
Exactly!!!
💯
This is the third video I have seen where EVs are parked at abandon malls. One in OH and another on in AZ. They cost too much, the charging stations are always broken, and the range is AWFUL. Why spend $100K for a vehicle that can only be used to drive around town and depreciates once you drive it off the lot. Plus the car insurance is also expensive. Nope.
Too bad for legacy automakers that they can’t make affordable EVs. Good thing I bought my 2024 LR Model Y for only $42k and have taken roadtrips out west to Florida and to Montreal. That’s $58k less than the $100k you mentioned. Just because you “believe” EVs can’t be driven on road trips doesn’t make it true.
Yeah that sums it up - the depreciation is killing EVs right now. These are basically disposable cars and should be priced as such. They serve a purpose but the shelf life is very short.
@@leomajor88 just not for me…too many issues. But I am glad it works for you.
Funny how you used a Tesla in the thumbnail and this video shows everything but Teslas.
Is that really a Tesla? Hmmmm 🤔
I just bought an i4 M50. Loving it. I'd never go back to an ICE vehicle. The dealer can hardly keep them in stock.
Those of us that actually own EVs all say the same thing. Never go back to ICE. these videos saying we all are switching back are just being posted by the oil company to stop people from going away from ICE.
😂😂😂
Love BMW
You started to discuss delivery dates but edited out the actual delivery dates. How long have the cars been there?
We could not see delivery dates but based on condition they’ve been sitting many months
What kills me lately is all the obviously paid reviewers talking about WHAT A GREAT DEAL! Used Lucids are right now.
😂😂😂
I guess those vehicles are just overpriced. Even more so now that Tesla has brought their prices down. Give me petrol any day. I like to hear the engine and smell all the fumes. Who wants to ride in silence? I can put up with the slow acceleration, paying a fortune for fuel and paying all those maintenance costs. I actually enjoy queuing up at petrol stations where you can talk to other petrol heads - who wants to just charge up at home? It must be boring sitting in something like a model 3 and being able to do 0-60 in 3 sec, to be able fill up the tank for £6 and to know that you only have to change tyres and windscreen wiper blades if it ever has to go in for a service. Give me a proper car any day..
Agreed!!!
I see a ton of ICE vehicles sitting there as well!
Indeed!!! Overpriced! But the EV selection looked particularly bloated - and the bleached tires, weeds growing, spider webs, bird 💩, and faded dash boards only proved the point these cars may just end up as service vehicles or worse. No idea who’s paying $100k+ for a Mercedes EV????
Exactly
And now 40% of EV buyers are going back to ICE. What a shock!
Saw that!! Crazy!!!!
Not true at all. That was put out by the oil companies who are desperate to stop people from buying EVs. Talk to anyone with a Tesla, including me. We all will tell you will NEVER go back to an ICE car.
Not true at all.
You should really talk to people who actually own EVs instead of listening to what the oil companies are putting online to fool the fools. Actual EV owners all say they will never go back to gas.
@@camreed6832 Are electric car owners happy with how everyone's insurance has increased because of them?
MB's get the fun dead battery/Christmas tree lot rot.
😂😂😂
Wow!
Impressive teeth.
🤣🤣🤣
All the new ICE cars also sit in “unprotected” lots.
They do! We know! It’s just weird - and this one felt particularly abandoned like an old western town 😂
@@GuysTalkingCars looks just like every lot Ive seen ice cars in.
@@camreed6832 the days supply of all cars is ridiculous- but EVs are taking a particular beating right now in sinking values. Which leaves even more of these sitting on lots. The ICE cars will sell at the right price - but have you seen the reports? Banks are starting to not even finance the EVs because of the falling values. Crazy times.
@@GuysTalkingCars but ice cars are NOT selling either. And EVs will also sell at the right price. You trying to say ice and gas cars are any different is nonsense. The only reason there are more EVs available for sale is because all the car companies built way more of them then gas cars.
Where are all the green hysterics? Why don't they buy?
😂😂😂
Doesn't look like just EVs to me...
99% were
I find it crazy how so many people are so intent on talking people out of EVs (for clicks) and even use AI generated images to make them look bad just like the thumbnail of this video. People will do anything to make EVs look bad. However, actually talk to anyone who owns one… we all win never go back to gas. Just a bunch of old people afraid of change and jealous of others who moved on from gas.
lol - we own an EV -what’s our beef? Simple! Having choice removed from the equation and rammed down our throats. Latest survey has 40% of EV owners returning to ICE cars. The reasons are extensive but hey, ignore what’s happening and just go with your narrative as the rest of the world walk back this aggressive EV stuff. Lol 😂 these takes only make this even more obvious thanks for proving our point
@@GuysTalkingCars LOL. I agree I dont like EVs being forced. But I have owned EVs for 12 years and Will NEVER drive a gas car again. They are Quiter, Quicker, and cost WAY less to operate. The latest survey was put out by the oil companies…so trust that if you are that stupid. Just keep up your click bait AI generated images and lies. You’re doing great. I’ve talked to thousands of tesla owners and NEVER had one say they would ever buy anything else except 1 guy who said he might buy a Mustang Mach-E because he likes how they look. But not a SINGLE one has ever said they would ever go back to a gas car, including myself. But is you like to pay more to go slower, make more pollution, more noise, and go backwards in tech to an ice car… go for it. Everyone can make their own choice… But you complain about the world trying to force people into EVs, while you’re are here trying to force people OUT of them…. You are no better than the government, lying, exaggerating, making shit up all to make money from clicks and force YOUR narrative.
@@GuysTalkingCars BTW… for the last 100 years… YOU HAD NO CHOICE. You talk about your beef is having choice removed and rammed down your throats? What CHOICE did you have to not buy an ICE car before? You had NO choice. It was either an ICE or NOTHING. Unless you wanted a horse and buggy I guess… that would be a choice. Now you do have a choice between ICE or EV. And you say you have no choice. LOL. When the reality is, this is the first time you’ve EVER HAD A CHOICE.
Trust me there is ZERO jealousy. You’re missing the point and clearly you’re not understanding the video. The market will dictate a natural organic transition, but there will always be a need for both. We have an EV in the family and plenty of friends. Drive what’s best for you. Infrastructure is not ready for this, and prices are absolutely out of control. Half the world is still burning wood, coal and dung for heat, and you want to demand everyone drives a 75k EV. Good luck pal.
@@shanetipton4345 Have you heard of Google? It’s this great tool you can use that will tell you in less than one second that you can find EVs for sale MUCH cheaper than $75k. If you’re going to complain about a new technology replacing an old one, at least be factually accurate.
