To answer your question honestly and I grew up in a a very shady area in Pasay where a lot criminal of things happen, a ghetto, in short. Cops here in there Philippines are scary esp. when President Duterte got elected. Back then they would just plant drugs on people to arrest them, to extort some easy money.
These are my experiences living and growing up in Pasay: I saw 8 cops tries to execute a man on the street, tries to shoot him and the stray bullet hit my friend who happens to be a girl. I saw My bestfriend got arrested, He who worked at Chowking and a pedicab driver on his day off. He was tortured really fucking bad, I saw it happen in front of me they tortured him inside a van by the time they were finished, I couldnt recognized his face anymore, he is innocent I know this for a fact. He said to me "I really thought I was going to die in there, they were really suffocating me and I was grasping for air really hard, They were kicking my face" and he also said "There was nothing I can do but pray and I just left it all to God, if this is it then this is it, just take care of my family".
