    Bought this gimbal right around when the COVID hit the fan (Feb/Mar 2020). Love it. Had trouble balancing it. I watched a few different videos and went over the instructions several times. It kept vibrating like crazy. I watched your video and you explained it perfectly. Thank you thank you thank you!

      Same here, we had so many restrictions I couldn't use it as much as I would have liked. Recently did a 4k walkthrough 60FPS with my hero 7. Looks amazing so looking forward to sharing that on the channel soon. Glad my balancing tips helped. Its always the hardest thing about using a gimbal.

    Great info and beautiful footage! I'm in search of a light weight gimbal for Sony a7c. Moza Mini P is one of the first choice. Is Moza Mini P's L-bracket is compatible with Arca Swiss plate?

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  Před 2 lety

      Thanks so much. Glad you liked it. It just has a regular tripod mount thread so you should be able to mount any plate on it as long as it is not too big. The Acra Swiss looks fine to me I use a similar size one and all good.

    Amazing video as usual, man.
    I’ve been looking for a gimbal to shoot B roll or even home gym tours. I tried a couple and didn’t like the difficulty in balancing my camera in them.
    This one looks very good and I may give it a shot.

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Stevie. Greatly appreciated! Yeah they can be a real pain to balance. It just requires some patience and a good video tutorial. That's why I spent a fair bit of time explaining it on this video as the manual is never really clear so hope that all makes sense. I think for the price it represents great value and is fine for
      the iPhone, action cams and pretty much any camera under 900 grams. So if you have a compact camera it is a good option. If you want something that can cover a heavier payload they also have higher models on their website under the pro section. Moza haven't sent me any purchase links yet but I will probably get one in the next few days and I'll update this post when I get it.

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah there is a bit of up and down movement as I am walking along. It is very hard to get rid of that with any gimbal unless you walk super slow. I just shot it as I was walking so I wouldn't look too strange walking through the city. But if does remove most of the movement. Thanks for checking out another video and glad you like them!

    One question regarding the two cables: the first is the charging cable which is fairly routine and the second is for a 'supported camera'. In another video(I fail to recall which) the presenter said Sony but I don't know as I don't have a Sony. The same presenter said you'd need a different cable for other models. Do you have any intel/info on this?

      Hi There, so glad you found the video helpful. Here is the full list of cameras suppoted. www.gudsen.com/download/MOZA-MINI-P-Camera-List.pdf?v1 In terms of the cable you would have to check what connection is on the camera and get the right cable to suit it. It could be usbc, mini usb or micro usb.

    Great review, enjoyed learning some new things, what do you think of the Moza apps?? So many people have reported issues it’s put me off buying the nova mini p. I’m needing a gimbal that will handle the new iPhone 12 Pro Max + lenses & filters, so this seems like a good hybrid, if the associated apps work well

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  Před 3 lety +2

      Great to hear. Thanks for watching. The apps run well, no issues for me on my iPhone XR on the latest version of iOS14 so imagine it would be fine on iPhone 12 too. I think it is a good choice if you want the flexibility to use other devices such as a go pro or compact camera as well as mobile phone. It is larger than a dedicated mobile phone gimbal but still quite light. Calibration can be quite tricky compared to the dedicated mobile gimbal such as the mini MX but once set up it works really well!

      Hey there, I just tested on a similar camera my Olympus OMD EM 10. Same kind of weight and size. to mount it vertically I tried using a Neewer 360 Degree Rotating Panoramic Ballhead this allows you to get the vertical going. However there wasn't really enough room vertically for the tilt and I just wasn't able to balance it. So for me no luck doing it vertically. I would say with the right mount you may be able to do it with an iphone...

    • @SlashR4
      @SlashR4 Před 3 lety

      WHen I feel like I have it aligned vertically - your first step - when I let it go it flops - I have to use the horizontal balance to be able to level it vertically but then when I try to adust the balancing of the horizontal bit and it flops. I can't seem to get it to how you do it - I'm thinking maybe my moza is faulty...

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  Před 3 lety +1

      @@SlashR4 A few things to check. First make sure it is turned off before balancing. Second make sure the gimbal is in the right direction on the tripod on the table top so the trigger is facing you as you set it up. You should have the vertical tilt motor on the right and the roll at the back. Once you put the iPhone in the bracket just start with getting it to balance vertically first by adjusting the right and rear levers on the motors. Keep in mind when you get close to balancing you need to be moving it by very small units only a mm back and forth to get it to balance. It can be a little fiddly but keep going, nudging it one way and the other until it stays still and balances. I don't think it would be faulty as it should balance anyway when not turned on. It would only be faulty if after balanced you turn it on and a motor fails. Download the Moza app so once you do turn it on you can calibrate it and test it.

      @@SlashR4 So great to hear that. I know it really is down to the millimetre, you just need to move back and forth by tiny increments until it stays still. The Moza is a typical Chinese junk product. I tried to use it with a
    phone and a small point and shoot camera and it often gets twisted up.
    When I go for low shots, it jams and vibrates. It's not really that
    smooth and jerks a little going side to side, and really cumbersome to
    disassemble. I just put it in a towel in my backpack instead of the
    case. Overall, stay away from the Moza Mini P.

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for your feedback! I found it quite reliable and works well for me. I have used it most extensively with my iPhone and GO PRO and gone on long walks for up to 40 minutes. I have done some low shots but not as extensive as my standard walkthrough and panning shots. As a matter of interest did you calibrate the camera and iPhone perfectly so that it stands in both vertical and horizontal position without assistance. I find that if the calibration is out then it can play up the way you describe but if I spend the time to get it perfect it really does seem to work very well.
