Taking my 4 year old snowboarding this weekend for the first time. This video is very helpful, thank you.
How did it go?
@@justjuan589 extremely well. Either lucky or gifted with good balance. What helped was his positive attitude when he fell he would just get back up and try again.

Seems simple 👍🏼. My son (10) wants to learn. He’s never done any board sports before.
Have them give it a try. Can be frustrating at first, but if they stick with it, it’s a lot of fun!

I taught both my girls to skate and surf already, how difficult of a transition will the have snowboarding. Im an avid snowboarder myself but haven't taught anyone how to snowboard yet, nice video btw

What age did your boys start?
We’ll be entering our 3 season with my 5 year old and he’s still nervous to go on his own
Started at 4. Each year it got easier for them. Good luck 👍
My boys look to be about the same age. Are you a good snowboarder? I’m not, I boarded for about 2 years, 10 years ago. How important is it to be taught by an experienced person?
It’s easier to teach if u know what u r doing. But as long as u know the basics u can pass them on to your kids
I like to think that I taught my 6 year old a lot over the last 2 years, but I think him just falling down the hill has taught him the most. These kids are riding falling leaf. So is my 6 year old. I never taught him that, it just naturally develops. Once he link that first turn from falling leaf to toe side, bang they know how to board.
What size board to get if you are 13 years old
145cm to 150cm
you go to boreal?
Not there, but been to Squaw, Heavenly, Northstar. It’s nice out there

When my kids were that young we rented a board to see what size worked the best. But at around 4 I got them a Burton 90 board. Seemed to fit them well
