i love that youre looking at a piece of history like this because theres a pretty big gap in the knowledge of audiophiles vs the history of their hobby
I really find this stuff interesting! There are a few different written articles that talk about the series of events, but I haven't seen much on CZcams talk about the history of headphones.
@@sidesaladaudiorare to see history of this hobby but whenever there is a video on it it’s usually pretty interesting
Super underrated channel. Great content as always man! More people need to see your videos.
Thanks!
Great work! I’m so glad you managed to measure the SP3X. The midrange is surprisingly even. The genes of later Koss on-ears are definitely in place there.
I have two SP-3 (the slash nomenclature wasn't introduced until the SP/3XC (dark brown), which started to be sold as SP-3XC but was later sold as SP/3XC. Koss later retconned the name)
Love them :D I like to watch old TV series with them on. Like spy movies & shows and such. "It takes a thieve" or "Mission Impossible". They really shine with old music.
Oh cool. I didn't know the name was retconned, but that makes sense with the discrepancies in the name.
lmao wait that SP3X graph looks really solid, even compared to modern day gear
because audio quality isnt this flexible thing that new tech can improve and its all just marketing lol
It really doesn't sound all that bad, (for the range that it does play well)
we need more headphone history
Great video Sir! I really appreciate all the work you went through and information you provided here.
Thanks!
wow :o
That face tracking is criminal
My glasses are messing it up 😭
@@sidesaladaudiobru
Speakers are 😳
Why does each eye keep winking/blinking independently? you ok?
I'm using a more advanced face tracking software, but my glasses are messing up the eye tracking. Lol
Still working on that
Interesting and informative, nice work.
John Koss sounds like a made up name lol
