My favorite parts are how detailed you are when measuring specs of a new light, and doing your comparisons between lights... their color temps, lumens, CD, throw, and overall specifications. Also perfect camera shots of the beams of different lights so we can easily see the differences; great attention to detail, extremely informative and very scientific! ...you must be an engineer or something similar. Also, my daughter has special needs, and a couple of her fascinations are lights and sounds, she is memorized by them! Her favorite part of your videos is at the end when you do your walks in the dark with the added sound effects, she loves them! Keep up the good work bro👌👍

First time that I got a flashlight before you did 🤭😋 also... one thing I truly love about this one is it can work while charging...seems trivial but had to use it for ceiling bounce while working twice and nice to charge it and make sure it's at max when done. Got the 4000k, at lower output at night in the garden to round up snails eating my plants it's very pleasant and not giving me light fatigue when using for an extended period of time.
This took fucking ages to come to me from Banggood. Shit I forgot to check if it works whilst charging, some lights can do it without a cell now, just work off a powerpack which is awesome.
@@garyd395 4000k FD2 absolutely no yellow for me, rosy tint. The 5000k is very greenish/yellow depending on how you see it at lower output. At max ramp or turbo it's not a pronounced at all.
Superior channel, "for classes, not for the masses". The overall atmosphere is very calming and technically very ultra-decent made. I bought this model, my first real flashlight, a day ago (4000K, HLY 26650 battery 5000Mah). They didn't have "ea01s" but thankfully to comments, at least this has more throw, so higher lm would be wasted to more flood, which I don't need. Quickly understood the modes and sub-modes except for 7 clicks for auxiliaries config - from which starting state? And only by accident succeeded in making "Strobe" my primary in configs. I've watched this video as some kind of meditation, well, many, many times. Music, ambiance and technicalities add to the atmosphere. No monsters in this one but still scary in a good way!

But I still had to exchange the cheap "Police" 1101 flashlight-shocker because of the lost cable. 44y. old taking care of my mother, still sane. I went through many phases of life. Looking forward to using my night shifting time: chess, programming, maybe drawing (graduated painter), refreshing math and physics skills on "Khan Academy". You at least have children and somebody to live for (I suppose not having any). Living in the similar surroundings, "Banjica", Belgrade. I tried the lamp yesterday and somebody parked the car and looked at me strangely. I immediately made a decision to use "turbo" mode just when I'm at work 200m2 depot cables, alone there. Instead of the formal: "You are welcome" I decided to break the monotony hah.

This light takes three types of battery that all have different amp/mAh ratings, it's also can be calibrated to hold brightness for longer, and different ambient temps would influence step-downs, it'd be borderline futile.
Very nice video and a beautiful light. But there is one problem with my light. When i charge the battery in the light, it will charge up to maximum 3.9 or 4 volt (green light) and not 4.2 volts. So i have to charge the battery with an external charger.
Have you measured it with an external charger? The MF01 Mini has a problem that causes it to measure battery voltages up to 0.4 volts too low. Mine shows 0.2 voits too low. That means that it'll actually try to overcharge the light.
Just got mine. My Acebeam button top 21700 does not fit, sticks past the tail a couple mm. I guess with trying to make it work with 18650 also its tight tolerance, I need to get a Samsung 40T as its shorter! I Guess the 30T would be good too for cell for it.
Do you prefer this or imalents ld70? I like simple when it comes to flashlights but this has some cool features as someone getting into this fairly recently
By the time I found out about the E07, the silver version and 219b for the entire range was already gone from the global website. I have an FW3A though and even though it's less powerful it's still kind of the same concept (compact multi-SST-20 Anduril torch with optic). After thermal calibration (max 70°C) it can finally sustain some decent output.
I was lacking a thrower, so I bought the FT03 XHP50.2 after seeing your review . I wanted an Anduril light, so I bought the EC01 before receiving the FT03. I am going broke rapidly. Do I really need to have this one also? ps. I opted for the FT03 in a futile attempt to save money over the MF01s plus dedicated batteries;)

I noticed you had much more lumens out of the 21700 than the 26650 on turbo in this review (7470lm vs 5500lm), I know the 21700 battery you used, but what 26650 were you using? FLASHAHOLICS thank you, that is helpful info. I have the efest 26650 4200mah but with 50amp max 35 continuous. I have always had good luck with my efest for years now and use them in my D4SV2 with good results, so I'm hoping they push out more then 5500 lumen in this light. Thanks for the info! Now I'm really confused. Looking for one and only one light for EDC coat pocket, but front pants pocket if small enough. Narrowed down to (not so narrowed down actually) EC01, D4V2, D4SV2, MF01Mini, and E07. First 2 are the smallest and better for EDC. I'm looking for a decent throw with lots of spill (D1 and D1S not enough spill), and I need reasonable runtime at at least 600 lumens or so. Lights that wow people and then drop down to nothing are not really good for EDC. Thoughts anyone for a truly all around good light for EDC?
@@WillEDC Hopefully a little more efficiency like on the D4V2. My new D4SV2 is a previously unavailable D4S colour too. Anduril and Aux lights are a biggy for me, my D4S will be going after the comparison beam shots. Especially as the new one will be rocking XPL-HD for more power and flood.
@@lionheart_2281 I have a 30T, not much output difference tbh. At 3000mAh the 30T is pointless on 7000 lumen lights, the voltage drop means the 40T quickly shits on it.

It's too bad Bethseda did the players wrong on Fallout 66 because ppl fear they're going to screw up the new elders scroll coming out on the new consoles.
Receiver the flashlight yesterday (olive / 4000k) and tried it with a 26650 from a Sofirn SP33. It still shines very bright, probably enough for me as I use it for underground cave exploring where even 300 lumens is a lot of light. I'm still going to purchase a 40T cell later, but so far I'm already very satisfied.
*This is how it starts , you're lured in by tech flashlights next thing you know you wake up one day and theres a pentecost tatooed on your forehead... 😂*

So I received mine and am already concerned I waited 3 weeks for a lemon. First, it didn't come with a battery, so a little disappointing there. So I dropped in a fully charged Nitecore branded 18650, and it lights up fine, until I try to go turbo. I get a flash and it dies completely. I have to unscrew/tighten the back or pop in a charger to get it running again. It comes back to life immediately. Anyone know if the 18650 can't handle turbo? This is my first foray into over-1000-lumen-flashlights.

I would NOT ! use a efest 26650 5000mah why because it has only max 18 amp discharge continu and a max of 45A for 1 seconds, better use a SAMSUNG INR21700-30T UNPROTECTED 3000mAh this has a max of 35 Amp en 100 amp for 1 sec. (Pulse) or use the SAMSUNG INR21700-40T UNPROTECTED 4000mAh 35 amp max and 70 amp for 1 sec (pulse)!

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV If that is the reason than ok, because I heard this in the past and it was never true in my case. I'm using the Golisi 26650 with a true 32A cdr and I never had any brightness difference using it or 21700.

In your opinion is the light worth the price? I have a couple 21700 T30 batteries that should hit close to the max lumens, however with any flashlight the true lumens are usually off. The only flashlight that actually surprised me was the MS18 which I purchased from Neal's Gadgets ran 102,000 lumens for 10 seconds before it started dropping. Anyways my go to EDC is a convoy C8 with an ST20 and even though it puts out good light I wanted an EDC with a bit more output so I can make runs of my 35 acres of land. Been having transients illegally staying on my property and trying to keep them off is a pain in the butt. My land is mostly woods and it would be easy to start a bad fire which is why I chase them off. My land runs next to government property and they don't monitor their land for them which they have already had a bad fire caused by transients.

Anduril is very addictive, apart from buggy Muggle mode it's easily the best UI.

@@Tn18d When I ramp up to max muggle it usually steps straight back down to min ramp. Sometimes it just holds max ramp for a very limited time.

If 4.0 Volts or 4.2 really doesnt matter regarding capacity, its good for the battery, for me its very nice

Go 40T, the 100 lumens or so from the 30T isn't worth the 1000mAh less.

By the time I found out about the E07, the silver version and 219b for the entire range was already gone from the global website. I have an FW3A though and even though it's less powerful it's still kind of the same concept (compact multi-SST-20 Anduril torch with optic). After thermal calibration (max 70°C) it can finally sustain some decent output.
I was lacking a thrower, so I bought the FT03 XHP50.2 after seeing your review . I wanted an Anduril light, so I bought the EC01 before receiving the FT03. I am going broke rapidly. Do I really need to have this one also?
ps. I opted for the FT03 in a futile attempt to save money over the MF01s plus dedicated batteries;)

I noticed you had much more lumens out of the 21700 than the 26650 on turbo in this review (7470lm vs 5500lm), I know the 21700 battery you used, but what 26650 were you using? I have always had good luck with my efest for years now and use them in my D4SV2 with good results, so I'm hoping they push out more then 5500 lumen in this light. Thanks for the info! I've not tried yet but it should do. Depends what you set the thermal limit to tbh. It hits 45c in default setting quicker with a 21700
Now I'm really confused. Looking for one and only one light for EDC coat pocket, but front pants pocket if small enough. Narrowed down to (not so narrowed down actually)
EC01, D4V2, D4SV2, MF01Mini, and E07. First 2 are the smallest and better for EDC. I'm looking for a decent throw with lots of spill (D1 and D1S not enough spill), and I need reasonable runtime at at least 600 lumens or so. Lights that wow people and then drop down to nothing are not really good for EDC. Thoughts anyone for a truly all around good light for EDC?
All of those are great. EC01 has a bad tint shift, D4V2 gets hot fast and the E07 can be temperamental

@@WillEDC Hopefully a little more efficiency like on the D4V2. My new D4SV2 is a previously unavailable D4S colour too. Anduril and Aux lights are a biggy for me, my D4S will be going after the comparison beam shots. Especially as the new one will be rocking XPL-HD for more power and flood.

@@lionheart_2281 I have a 30T, not much output difference tbh. At 3000mAh the 30T is pointless on 7000 lumen lights, the voltage drop means the 40T quickly shits on it.

Receiver the flashlight yesterday (olive / 4000k) and tried it with a 26650 from a Sofirn SP33. It still shines very bright, probably enough for me as I use it for underground cave exploring where even 300 lumens is a lot of light. I'm still going to purchase a 40T cell later, but so far I'm already very satisfied.
*This is how it starts , you're lured in by tech flashlights next thing you know you wake up one day and theres a pentecost tatooed on your forehead... 😂*

So I received mine and am already concerned I waited 3 weeks for a lemon. First, it didn't come with a battery, so a little disappointing there. So I dropped in a fully charged Nitecore branded 18650, and it lights up fine, until I try to go turbo. I get a flash and it dies completely. I have to unscrew/tighten the back or pop in a charger to get it running again. It comes back to life immediately. Anyone know if the 18650 can't handle turbo? This is my first foray into over-1000-lumen-flashlights.
I bet your Nitecore battery is a protected cell. The Mini doesn't come with a battery, I suggest getting a Samsung 40T 21700.

I would NOT ! use a efest 26650 5000mah why because it has only max 18 amp discharge continu and a max of 45A for 1 seconds, better use a SAMSUNG INR21700-30T UNPROTECTED 3000mAh this has a max of 35 Amp en 100 amp for 1 sec. (Pulse) or use the SAMSUNG INR21700-40T UNPROTECTED 4000mAh

21700 are the highest discharging batteries available.

In your opinion is the light worth the price? I have a couple 21700 T30 batteries that should hit close to the max lumens, however with any flashlight the true lumens are usually off. The only flashlight that actually surprised me was the MS18 which I purchased from Neal's Gadgets ran 102,000 lumens for 10 seconds before it started dropping. Anyways my go to EDC is a convoy C8 with an ST20 and even though it puts out good light I wanted an EDC with a bit more output so I can make runs of my 35 acres of land. Been having transients illegally staying on my property and trying to keep them off is a pain in the butt. My land is mostly woods and it would be easy to start a bad fire which is why I chase them off. My land runs next to government property and they don't monitor their land for them which they have already had a bad fire caused by transients.
