    I beefed up the tail spring with extra wire so it can draw more current, and with a Samsung 40T I seem to be measuring around 12,000 lumen when I first do a max burst, and it quickly settles down to the 10-11k lumen range. This is an awesome flashlight!

      @sarge1231 Před 3 lety +3

      I have both, and actually like the EC01 a little better I think. Except for the head size needed for the 3 led lights they are about the same. The 3500 lumens of the EC01 will run a little longer without getting as hot. 6700 lumens does not appear to be almost twice the lumens to my eyes. I might have been expecting a little more of a wow factor with the extra 3200 lumen turbo output, and it does look brighter, but not to the degree I expected. It does get insanely hot very quickly on turbo, which was expected. I prefer the Sofirn IF25A to either as an every day carry or even the IF25 with its unique adjustable color temperature. All of these are really good EDC option. The EC03 just gets uncomfortably hot so quickly that the turbo can be used for very limited amount of time. If lost in the woods, it will be great to start fires though. The head on this light gets fire starter hot very fast.

For one led the EC01 is impressive, unfortunately x3 more led's does not mean x3 more light.

    Just got my EC03 - I bought it on sale for pretty much the same price I bought EC01 two months earlier.
    Both are amazing flashlights and the only gripe I have with both of them is that the PWM is at 16kHz for the EC01 and at 15.7kHz for the EC03 which makes both of them audible and very annoying to me (though EC03 is much louder while EC01 is barely audible). Also my friends don't hear the sound at all so this is only a problem for people with good hearing :P
    Anyway I don't know if the frequency is a property of the Anduril UI or flashlight design but I wish it was either pushed past 20kHz so it wasn't audible anymore or lowered to below 10kHz so the sound would be less annoying.

Is that possible? I’m confused by all the step-down/ramping these lights do. I'm not an avid collector I do like to pick some every once and again. I'm not an owner of any astrolux lights so I'm not knowledgeable on their quality. Iv mostly thought klarus and olight. Had a couple Thrunite's but my very first thrunite failed and they would not honor the warranty. I told them right up front I'd be completely honest with them because it it only worked intermittently. 5, 6 clicks to power on. 3 years ago. Single 18650 model. TC10 maybe. I was looking under the couch for my daughters pacifier. Cats love playing keep away with the babies pacifier. The light was laying down on the cushion. I pushed on the cushion to get up which made the cushion slope down. The light rolled off the couch where it fell approximately one half of one meter or about 18". It rolled off and stayed flat and level as it dropped a crippling foot and a half onto a plush living room carpet with 1/2" thick padding. Customer abuse. Denied. I've noticed thrunite's finish is terrible also. Coating comes way too easy. My klarus and olight"s dont have a scratch on them.so I just bought the Olight Seeker 2 Pro in blue. Do you think there's enough difference between your reviewed lightt here and the seeker 2 pro to warrant getting this too? I'd like any opinion, please and thanks.

    Here's an HONEST review. Ordered the 6500k but it's a pasty white instead of the brilliant white I expected! But leds need max current to reach brightest color & w/ 3 leds... well it gets pretty white on turbo. Torch could have been very slightly wider (the head certainly is) & it would have accommodated the btry it needs, the 26650! It's so short, I find it awkward. Fatter would have been easier to hold as well. It wastes light due to poor focus, well too much spill although w/ that many lums, a flood, albeit messy is useful. Cost me a little over $40 (on sale) fr Bangood & THEIR shipping was only 10 days from China! (My exp. w/ AliExpress has never been fully satisfactory.) It could have been brighter w/ a brilliant WHITE (that's full spectrum) light. IT IS A L O T OF LIGHT for that little thing. W/o even owning one, I think maybe the FW21pro, the choice I was considering, would have made me happier. Of course I didn't choose it due to the piss poor focus. Remember, although these vids are all we've got, they tend to exaggerate what will arrive at your house. If you need a very small torch w/ a big head that really puts out, it's good, I just wish I could read my reviews BEFORE I spend my valuable $.
