- Welcome to this brand new CW Flash video...or well sorta. In this video I'll be talking about The Best CW Flash Ship That We NEVER Got, yeah we got to see Barry Allen or The Flash with Iris, Linda, Paddy and even Felicity! But one ship that I really would love to see way more of is Snow Barry or Caitlin and Barry as a couple! I love their chemisty and every scene they are in even when they are in their evil forms! It's weird how they let Felicity and Oliver happen because the fans liked the ship but they were dead set on Barry and Iris and every other ship could burn in hell,like Greg my man what are you doing?
My guess is it's because their handling of the Olicity ship in canon destroyed the fandoms perceptionof the couple, and Felicity as a character, they naturally take the wrong lesson. that they should ignore what the fans are shipping and focus on the comic canon ships. Why they didn't call it quits on Olicity if they take that lesson from it I don't know.
Honestly I''m glad they didn't do Snowbarry in canon, becasue the odds are they'ed have screwed it up and ruined the ship like Olicity, keeping the ship as just a fandom thing saves it from that.

@@medafan53Green Arrow and Black Canary are probably the worst couple in comic media, tho. I read the comic where they got married and Slade attacks the cerimony with other villains, and all the members of the League say the same thing: "This isn't going to work.", Dinah actually says that most couples have something that connects them, and in their case is sex, they are good at it and find each other attractive. Really?! That's it?! No love, no similar goals in life, similar taste in things, just atraction and sex? Sorry, but that's just god awful! They are clearly toxic with each other and Ollie does cheat on Black Canary eventually, so i have no idea why so many people were bothered with the Arrowverse not following trough this mess of a couple. I even would go as far as to say that the little we saw from Dinah and Ollie on the show was better than the comics: Yes, Ollie cheats on her like the comics, but BEFORE he goes to the island, so he had a change of heart, plus in Season 1 both of them are searching for some sort of justice: Ollie as a vigilante, Dinah as a lawyer, so they did had a bigger connection.
I'm indiferent with ships, i would be ok with Dinah and Ollie just like i'm ok with Felicity and Ollie, what i'm not ok is comics Ollie and Dinah horrendous ship.

Barry didn't. The writers did. But, no, I'm right there with you with that ship. Genuinely cheered every time there was a kiss between them (regardless of if it was down to an imposter or a literal Ice Queen)
I really wish that the writers would let Snowbarry happen if not on Earth-1 (Now Earth-Prime) then somewhere in the new multiverse either Barry and Caitlin are normal people (SnowBarry) or as heroes (FlashFrost) or as villains (SaviFrost) or Caitlin with powers and Barry with out powers.

We got this ship teased a ton in the early seasons
Barry and Caitlin going to the bar and Caitlin gets drunk was probably the most "Snowbarry" episode ever.
Yeah, I know. I at least thought the writers and Greg would make Snowbarry happen at least for a season because we got it teased so much in the early seasons even when the show ended we got it teased.
I sometimes like to wonder what the show would've been like if Savitar had killed Iris in season three. Because then they could've focused season four around the idea of how Barry deals with the loss of Iris, while also knowing that he can't become like his future self. So, he gets the benefits of having his friends there to help him through it. Which could've helped plant the seeds for a Caitlin and Barry relationship in a future season, while also giving them the freedom of progressing the plot beyond what the newspaper says from season one.

I would say the main reason on why they are such a good ship is because Kaitlin is actually feminine and not going to actually try her best to look after bary and does what’s best for him not what’s best with her and they way in which she will try to talk with him in a argument would be in a less argumentative way in which she would just say that she cares about him and try to talk about his perspective and not be a so called boss babe I mean just watching Isris and Barry I can only imagine the arguments that they are going to have over and over again which is not a healthy household to raise a child especially one’s with the power to run fast enough to alter time at a whim

SnowBarry was definitely a guilty pleasure ship at first.
But as Iris became worse and worse, the guilt decreased in kind.
By the time I stopped watching it, I was 1000% a SnowBarry shipper.
Honestly 4:59 Danielle should’ve been the Iris I’m not sorry. She had chemistry, she’s a better actress and the personality she gave as Caitlin is better Candice should’ve been snow
I’m not saying, Danielle shouldn’t have been Iris. She definitely should’ve but the actor Candace, who plays Iris it was just the writing that killed her character. But yes, I do agree. Danielle should’ve played Iris 100%.

Barry and Caitlin was supposed to happen, but grant turned it down to be as comic accurate as possible.
Honestly, I would’ve rather had Barry and Caitlin together in the show. That’s how much I love the ship.
Then they should've casted Danielle as Iris while playing it like she does Caitlin. She already looks more comic accurate.
How the show turned out it rarely felt as "comic accurate" i didnt mind adaptations if they make sense but again with the writing went none of the stuff made sense

I think in s3 , they should have let iris cut out of story which will make barry depressed and caitlin saves barry by advising how she was when ronnie died and thats how they could have built the relationship and they can still have iris from a diff universe like wells
i'm sure a writer or producer confirmed that the original plan was that Barry and Caitlin would have spent some time as a thing before something caused the relationship to fail leaving him free to be with Iris. as things were really building up later in the first season though it got decided to steer away from that instead. maybe they figured it would be better to not have her being his ex who's always around and still part of the main team AND once she'd also get powers, even able to fight alongside him when he's facing villains. then again that might be giving them too much credit when they're ok with having barry's true love be his adopted sister lol
also, after she had first switched to her killer frost persona, when Savitar reveals his identity to her, she instantly goes to following everything he says, believes in him completely. like if they had given more episodes to form more of an arc for "how are team flash going to stop future barry who also has KF helping him?" then I reckon there would have been some suggestion they were a villain couple

Shouldve just casted Danielle Panabaker as Iris while having the personality of how she plays Cailtlin. She would've been a spot on portrayal of the character. Straight out of the comics. "Best person for the job"? Give me a break
Snowbarry not happening was proof we have failed as a species
The thing with Barry, Iris, and Caitlin is akin to that of the quarterback-head cheerleader-nerd trope. The quarterback and the head cheerleader are together because "duh, they're the quarterback and head cheerleader. They are perfect for each other!" Meanwhile, the quarterback and nerd have a relationship that forms slowly and is a relationship born of mutual adoration.
Barry and Iris suffer from the writers insert problems that make either one or both (usually Iris) look either dumb or like jerks. The proof is in the Nora fight (you know what I mean.) Barry and Caitlin have problems but it isn't as dragged as Barry and Iris and it's balanced with wholesome moments like the karaoke scene and the pie scene.
Just another instance of everyone having better chemistry. No hate on Candace or Grant: the writers just hoe'd them.
It makes me upset because Barry and Iris as a ship had potential to be great in canon, but the writers tried to force everything and it didn’t feel authentic or natural. It felt like you couldn’t root for them, but you knew they were going to be together regardless so you’d just have to accept it. I feel like it could’ve been better if the writers didn’t try to make it feel so forced and let it seem more developed and natural.

In the Blackout episode in season 1 Caitlin admitted that she was scared to lose him if shocking him didn't work. She also told him that with or without his speed. He was still him.

The thing about snowbarry or westallen being endgame, is actually a little bit bigger than any of us might think. originally, actually, snowbarry was supposed to be explored in s1 and maybe s2, there were plans for it and yes, all that teasing, the everyman and the karaoke was supposed to lead to something that the writers wanted to explore. And there is/was plenty of debate on who scrapped it, some say it was the westalleners-shippers who got wind of it and went insane, some say grant or candace him-herself objected and it was scrapped. Which is sad...
Grant said in (i think it was a comic-con) interview about snowbarry, that the writers were experimenting and toying around with the idea at the start, but it was of course, as we know... inevitably dropped, to every logical person's dismay and chagrin.
For me it's Barry and patty, they had really good chemistry.

Right. And, what’s worse is that Iris is an arguably decent character when it’s outside of her relationship with Barry. Whenever they focus on her character without involving her romantic interest in Barry, she’s more likable and has more depth to her. But unfortunately, the writers had a habit of focusing on her and Barry’s relationship as a major part of her character so we’re more focused on her bad traits
Apparently the production crew wanted Barry and Caitlin to be a thing but Grant Gustin denied the idea cause he wanted to stay true to the comics with his love interest being Iris

To be honest, that‘s my opinion:
Barry should have let Iris go when he caught her dating Eddie. He loved her for over a decade and she knew, but she did not care and brozoned him. In my opinion, he should have went for Patty. She idolized him even before meeting him because of his forensic reports and she wanted to help Barry as the Flash. I do not ship Barry with Caitlin because Ronnie was still alive then.
Iris only chose Barry because she had no other logical options. She even dated another man after Eddie died. That means that Barry was her third choice, at best.
Right now, I am single, but I follow a code:
If I ask a woman out and her answer is ”no“, I will never ask her again and even if she asks me in the future, I will reject her. I am nobody‘s second choice. I cultuvate self-respect. I do not care how many partners a woman had in the past. But if she knows me, I want to be her first option.

In the blackout episode in season 1, I think some people forgot when Barry and Caitlin were by the Flash suit talking, Caitlin moved super close to Barry, she was going in for a kiss but Cisco had walked in.

I liked the show, I really did, for a while. But about during season 3 is when quality dropped, season 8 was ridiculous in a not funny way and the rest is noise

Grant had such great chemistry with so many potential love interests, then the showrunners picked the worst one as the main one smh.
Iris isn't really introduce in a likable way. Didn't help that her personality would swing all over like she's all friendly lovely and suddenly blaming Barry for something he couldn't even do anything about (ie. She found out who the flash is and suddenly accuse him of what's happening to missing Eddie as his fault when really thawne took him to ensure his future doesn't change and his plans go through) or suddenly saying you don't care about your partners parent being killed in front of them then eye rolling. It's also annoying that she held the whole team flash together when Barry's gone when her reporter job has nothing to do with team flash expertise or leading for that matter. Then that bs of "we are the flash" when he's the one in constant danger and she's all cozy.

Barry was never Caitlins type so it wouldnt make sense for them to start dating. She was into big muscular men like Ronnie, Hunter/Jay, Eddie, Ray, Oliver. Patty or Iris makes more sense because they are both big love interests in the comics. Everybody hates on iris but they really messed up Caitlins character in later seasons as well.
Barry isn’t a huge muscular man sure but he’s still a muscular man

I do a Flash series of my own over on my main YT channel called "The Future Flash" its set on Earth 17 of the new Multiverse and it follows an alternate version of Barry Allen/The Flash with blue speed lightning and in my Flash series there's a big possibility that Snowbarry could happen unlike the CW's Flash show but I definitely have big plans for my Flash series in terms of original content, stories and new villains (original villains) and I ask you guys join me in my journey of storytelling with these iconic DC Comics characters (heroes & villains alike), my FlashVerse with my DC Comics shows (especially with my Flash series) is just getting started

None of Barry’s love interests would’ve worked, especially Caitlin. And yeah, Barry and Iris wouldn’t work that well in real life but it’s a show and the writers made it work while also writing her terribly. Also, most of The Flash fans acts like Iris was a villain, y’all wanted her dead so bad (not towards the creator of this video, just the fans in general). It’s weird, I fell like we watched different shows lol.

@quazargamer839 In Earth 2, she actually wanted and supported Barry. Plus, her being a cop added more to her strength as a character. Kaitlyn would've been what Falicity in Arrow was, annoying. Snow Barry only would've worked for a season 2 but not long term. Plus, outside of a lab and a dead boyfriend, we didn't really know about Snow.
