    Well, I said it, I hate paintwork haha! Seriously though, anything involving bodywork is always a challenge for me. Next time I'll definitely get a professional to do any bodywork so that I can get the best result.
    I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out if I'm honest.
    In the future, I'll take it to get done properly.

    Hey bro. I still thought that you did a pretty awesome job on this. Keep it up. I always wait for new content that you put out. Looking to do some touches on my 2003 Toyota Altezza very soon. Your step by step detail is flawless. Thanks again

      Thanks for watching :) I really appreciate it! My best advice is the take your time. I rush things in places and wish I hadn’t. But oh well, lesson learned I suppose! More videos coming soon! 😋✌🏻

    Great content, much appreciated. I'm looking to get an IS300 soon and your mods go for a tasteful OEM+ style that serve as nice inspiration. Excited to see more IS300 content with your level of detail. A clear Scotchgard bra / protective vinyl film might be a good idea for protecting the lip and bumper.

      Thank you very much! I try my best to bring the very best content. There’s so much more to come! I think I will get another lip and ask a professional to do it at some point in the future :) The mods to come won’t be as OEM haha! Lots of power to unlock later on! 😁 thanks for watching!

    If your looking for any bodykits I’d recommend MCG Autostyling in Ireland they have all bumpers, sideskirts bumper lips etc they are fibreglass but the fitment is very very good and fairly priced aswell if your interested!

    Great job mate. I feel like the clear coat should of protected the chips at least a little. It going to happen I guess but didnt think just after a few drives. I was quoted a grand to do lip, rear and skirts. I'm still on the fence and not to sure if I want to give it a crack or not.
    Im tempted to play with halftone with my IS with plastidip. just to have a bit of fun before going clean with it.

    • @shizukesajdm
      @shizukesajdm  Před 3 lety

      Yeah I don’t think the clear coat was amazing quality really. I should’ve used a 2k clear coat. Or added PPF. I haven’t used plastidip before, let me know how it goes! :)

    • @PapadumGeek
      @PapadumGeek Před 3 lety

      @@shizukesajdmyou either love it or hate it. It works well but if you are low, it can rip it up and looks a bit messy. For the price, it's a bit of fun. Plus if you don't like it, you can just peal it off hahaha.
      Other note, loving the vids on the car. Im tempted to get a IS300. People want 15K - 20k+ for them here in Australia. Might just drive my IS200 to the ground and then do a 1JZ swap or something.

    Dry sand up to 320 before primer. Apply primer, wait up to 24Hrs. Wet sand with 400 to 600 before paint, paint and wait up to 24Hrs. Wet sand with 800 up to 1500 before clear, dry and clean then spray clear light then heavy. End result with sanding in between steps and especially after base coat should result in a mirror finish. Also spray at least 3 coats with 1st light coat, 2 wet coats, but I'd say the more the better as the top two are sacrificial layers for sanding. That's just from my experience. Enjoy

    A bit off topic but I'm thinking about getting an is300, could you do a link showing how to use the automatic gearbox? I'm used to a modern s tronic gearbox but not too sure on the older types.

    Looks like you used the wrong paint. Plastic bends and twists. Normal car paint doesn't. You should only use paint designed to be used on plastic. As for your bumper. Look on Lexus parts direct because for about 250 quid you'll get a brand new one And colour matched to your car.
