- Downhill mountain bike racers flock to Killington, Vermont, for a chance at $80,000 in prize purse for the 2023 U.S. Open of Mountain Biking.
Open-class race winners took home $15,000 as riders of all abilities tackled the challenging Goat Skull track. World Cup athletes like Greg Minnaar, Nina Hoffmann, Jackson Goldstone, Dakotah Norton and more were on hand for a shot at the win.
While the first runs of the weeks were slower on a wet track, by race day, conditions were perfect and racers pushed themselves harder than ever. Ultimately, Dakotah Norton and Nina Hoffmann backed up their 2022 victories with wins in 2023. What's more impressive is that 2nd place in both Men and Women went to up-and-coming riders who aren't even old enough to race World Cups yet. Asa Vermette and Aletha Ostgaard walked away with $7,500 each and they're barely old enough to drive.

Best non-live race coverage I've seen. UCI could learn something here.
The best coverage. Much better than World Cup.
Better coverage than any world cup race this season and nice calm commentary.

Thank you so much for the time stamps in the description. I'll watch the whole video, but it will be great to be able to quickly find runs I might want to watch again.
Im gonna raise my handlebars up after that finish, Stak Norton style.

Better camera work than GCN- sorry, MUCH better camera work. And where the hell did Dak find 2 1/2 seconds at the end?
Jackson looked like a package of Sour Patch Kids.
Super interesting introduction of the course from the perspective of a builder/course designer!
