The people demand Austin & Mike back on air 👏👏👏
Mike Renner needs to do a guest spot on The Ringer with Austin Gayle
Congrats to Renner! Stoked we’ll be getting more of him at CBS
Funny how they tried to clown him for being unemployed but he was always clearly the most talented analyst at PFF.
@@GuillermoCandelario-tl1swbro read the room, do you not mess with your friends this way?
The people miss Tailgate!
The boy is back baby 🫨🫨🫨
Missed Renner the show he did with Austin a few years ago was legit. Not seen much of him for a while.
The Tailgate podcast! He also has a CZcams channel (Renner Ranks) but he hasn't posted to it in awhile. The company he was working for folded
@@michaelbeale559 thanks my bro I’ll search it out. Did a couple of search for his stuff before the draft but couldn’t find him. Thanks again.
@@michaelbeale559 thanks my bro. Didn’t know he did a podcast had tried to search him out before the draft but didn’t see anything. Thanks again
@eddierxx124 No problem, dude! He also has a Twitter account too if you wanna keep up with him that way
Hell freezes over it's THE RETURN OF RENNER. You can see why CBS hired Renner he's extremely telegenic and the other 2 guys look like subterranean trolls 😂😂😂
George Renner here. I agree with everything Mike said on the Packers draft and wonder if we are related!
Renner? I barely know her..
Y'all should only be promoting Melenated QBs stop trying to hype these weak unathletic Mayo ones tho for real.
Love you Mike! You and Austin were awesome together! ❤
Another good podcast from Steve and Sam.
Great episode!
Renner has been missed sorely. Would LOVE to have someone like him that actually knows things on one of the draft shows. Not people spewing generic statements.
Good to have Mike back.
Tailgate era w/ Mike Renner & Austin Gayle will forever be goated 😤🔥💯
Man, he's really bagging on Coleman, not even recognizing that he was an OL pick for Washington.
The GOAT is back
I miss Mike!
Maye played against ACC competition!!
Let’s go Renner!
"We need more crazy feats of athleticism in our lives."
Agreed, Steve ... this is in fact protected in Constitution under pursuit of happiness.
On the Xavier Lagette thing; not even getting into how he projects in the NFL or how I feel about the pick, I'm just saying I think a 5th year rookie option is worth a 6th round pick.
Could be. But also you take on like 1 Millionen more cap hit per season by having him as an first round pick instead of an second round pick.
And 5th year options are only worth it if the guy can play which has an bad hit rate late first round.
They'll need that money more 5 years from now if he hits.
I don't think the dolphins adequately replaced one or two of their defensive line interior and they have not replaced Robert Hunt rg.
I thought Fifita needed another year to be draft eligible but Renner is on it with him. Fifita and Tmac will be a modern Johnny Football to Mike Evans. Both first round picks. Fifita is small af but man hes got a rifle.
What’s the scoop on Renner? I know he left PFF but was there some issues going on between them? Was it mutual?
Drew Allar is my fave QB for next year.
Love Trevor but Renner is the draft 🐐
Tell Renner to make some draft videos.
I would have liked Jag’s off-season a lot more if they traded for tee Higgins instead of signing gabe Davis. Then draft fautanu or chop Robinson in the 1st, and take another wr later in the draft like Roman Wilson. Basically the Steelers draft, I guess.
Not sure if it was budget cuts for content or what, but Mike and AG not being on PFF still ain't right
Austin received a great offer from the ringer and Renner Quit Pff. But man, was that a good tag team to have on this type of platform
I think Austin got a bigger offer, which was deserved. It also meant him moving back to the coast and out of Cincinnati. Which is huge for anyone who listened to him lol.
Idk Renners full story. But I think he would've been fine at PFF but there was some disagreements. Which leads me to assume money? Not sure tho.
Tailgate is the best pod pff has ever had
@DreadPages Yeah I believe it was money. They have made several jokes about him being jobless lately lol.
I'm pretty sure the joke is like hey, sorry we couldn't pay you what you wanted, but now you get paid 0? Lol
@LawfulRaider yeah, those jokes are hilarious, fart noise 💩. Zero class. Painful type of cringe.
PFF NFL Podcast with Sam, Steve and Great Value Bradley Cooper
S/O Mike getting the cbs gig. Miss him and Austin.. him and Gayle was a combo. The only ones to call out and bring up when Jags grabbed Trayvon Walker because baalke hated Jim harbaugh so much from SF that he’d rather not take his product and no one ever called that out after .. need them back on a table with NFL Stock exchange again
I love these guys projections, what exactly in Cousins history would lead you to believe that any team he's injected into will be the favorite to take the division much less win a playoff game?
There is a huge value in having the unremarkable but steady quarterback who won't cost you games if you already have other pieces in place. Atlanta was 7-10 last season. Six of the 10 losses were by one score or less. He's not going to lead them to 13-4, but flip two of those losses (one specifically) and they make the playoffs at 9-8.
With QBs like Cousins, he's going to do what he does, you're going to win what you win and your fortunes kind of depend on what happens in the league around you. You're not going to jump out to a bullet-proof division lead, but you're not likely going to be eliminated from serious contention by Week 14 either.
Tailgate boys could have went independently with their pod and flourished
Even the modest way they phrased Deion as a receiver is overstating it. Deion was as two-way player about as much as William "The Refrigerator" Perry was a two-way player.
The only season he had any significant targets was the one in which Michael Irvin was injured. That year, he was targeted 67 times, catching only 36 of them. The rest of his 14-year career he averaged 3.5 targets and 1.8 receptions.
Deion was a lot of things, but he simply wasn't a bona fide two-way player. He was a DB who fell into an opportunity one season, then failed so miserably at it (DBs have surprisingly poor hands, in general) that the year after his 67 targets he was thrown to only a single time.
I dont get the jayden daniels hype
Did you watch him play this year?
Turn on the tape.
There's good reason. Slobbering over the ability to rack up college yards on deep balls to receivers who almost always overmatch the opponents' DBs is for rookies.
Hell, Shaddup Sanders and his old man are going to be considered as having improved simply winning more games as a result of joining the WSPC (Weak Sisters of the Poor Conference). Beyond that, we'll see. The consensus seems to be that Shaddup has an arm, but not a special one. He can run, but not at any particularly special level. What will be interesting to see is what happens once he actually has to start making decisions in an offense that isn't specifically designed for him/dictated to him. He certainly isn't going to be showing up at the combine next year.
Manu will prove the doubters wrong in 3-4 years lol
First penix needed to sit to refine his mechanics now he needs to start because he’s older and the wrong tea drafted him. Who remembers the horrible pick by the redskins when they just drafted their franchise guy? I think his name was Kurt cousins
Nah man Kirk was a fourth round pick they are in no way comparable at all if the falcons somehow got penix in the fourth no one would complain
I guess you might want to actually look something up once in awhile. Don't worry. Some of us actually do the legwork (and had the knowledge already because we lived it).
The Redskins DID draft their franchise quarterback in the first round that year. His name was Rober Griffin III, who ended up being a bust/injury bust and has since proved himself to be mentally retarded every time he opens his mouth. They took Cousins in the fourth round.
On a related note, one of the MAIN REASONS you don't draft a guy as old as Penix - let alone to be a backup - is because you're not supposed to have to refine the mechanics of a quarterback when he's 24 years old. Typical rookies? Absolutely. Not guys who are predicted to be 26.5 years old by the time they become your starter.
You can tell Trevor and Renner gets awkward when they are around each other lol
Why
Tanner Mckee
Love Keon Coleman, but the Bills are doing him dirty by trying to play him at X. The pick made no sense to me from a fit standpoint.
Evan engram is the 1 for the jags
"Cliff Kingsbury had Bo Nix as QB-1 even over Caleb Williams"
I call complete b.s. if he truly thought Nix was #1 then sitting and waiting to pick at 12 makes absolutely no sense. I'm sorry but by not trading up to get Nix at a min to 10 you told us how you felt about him. Just like Minnesota they clearly were high on JJ as they gave up 3 draft picks to move up 1 spot to secure him.
This logic only makes sense if he had JJ QB-2 and were okay with either otherwise sitting and picking makes no sense at all.
Said he had JD as QB1
Mike Renner - Unemployed😂
Aaaand the water-carrying for Atlanta continues. And, again, they try to shift the actual arguments against the Penix pick into being something they're not.
25:30 - "The only thing that's REALLY different from the Rodgers-Jordan Love-type situation is the fact that Cousins is brand-new in the building."
I'm glad Renner called BS on that.
Its funny how these analysts always wanna peg wrs as slot guys. I promise u Keon Coleman is an outside receiver, he will be just fine at the X
Raiders won that draft.
Sam is such a hater😂
Mike is clueless
Sam's ball knowledge is incredibly low
*other than testicles
Drake Maye's tape isn't inspiring at all
You must be deeply depressed
